I talked to DW about driving to Cinci for Jungle Jims. She is all for it. She also wants to stop at the Ikea store while we are down there too. I have a feeling it might not be a cheap trip!
Now we just need to set up a date when all of us are not working or at school!
I will be sure to let you guys know Jennifer and Amy. It would be a mini- DDA meet.

I wanna come too! :upsidedow

Enjoy your time off, Tom.

Morning Stephanie, sorry you feel bad and that your DD is sick. Hope you both feel better soon. :wizard:
Good Morning DDA!!:hippie:

I slept, but woke up feeling like crap. My DD is sick; she is dropping the kids off to school and coing home. I can't stay home. My financial supervisor is having something done with her eyes this morning, so I need to finish payroll or no money for us.:surfweb:

Heidi, say it isn't so!! Not snow!! You're less than 200 miles away from me!!! :scared1: :scared1:
Unfourtantly its too. :sad2: I have posted a few pictures.

Off to teach. See you all at lunch! (don't we wish...)

Good Morning Mrs. B, how's married life?
:teeth: OK! Mom leaves on Sunday so the house should be a little more sane soon! We are buying a fridge this week! :)
There are no dumb questions, silly! :teeth:

When the cake comes out of the oven, there are some gaps all around the sides of the pan. You pour the glaze into all those little nooks and crannies and when you flip the cake out 30 minutes later, the glaze will have sunk into the top and sides.

This cake is even more yummy the next day, so I tend to make it a day before serving. This is about the only alcohol I've consumed in five years! :rotfl:

That makes sense now! I'm thinking of taking it for Thanksgiving when we head to Holland MI - Bob's sister's place. She has a 4 year old and a 2 month old - I had been joking with her about hosting Thanksgiving again so she wouldn't have to travel with the baby. Well, she's hosting Thanksgiving and I feel like I'm responsible. :confused3 So I plan on bringing a cranberry relish, a cake made with rum, and an onion dip that I'll be posting next!

Baked Onion Dip - off the side of a box of Triscuits
1 Tablespoon margarine
1 large sweet onion, finely chopped
1/3 cup mayo, light
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 Tablespoon chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt margarine in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook 5 -7 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly

Mix mayo, cheeses, parsley, ad pepper sauce in medium bowl. Stir in onions. Spoon into baking dish

Bake 25 minutes or until heated through.
Makes 1 cup dip

...and my question is why in the world would it come out so oily?? I used about half the amount of butter, and the onions were dry by the time I mixed them with everything else. Could it be the mayo? Or the cheese? :confused3

Man I hate the sound of the snow coming off the roof. Sounds like the house is coming down. :scared:

Robyn, hope you are feeling better soon. :wizard:

Poor Gail, hope she is better soon too. :wizard:

We also had a quick power outage already this morning.
