I honestly do believe it's "huge", because Mary from mousesavers (who is way on top of these things, and has been for years) says it's the best deal she's seen by far, and that she doesn't use "huge" loosely.


That being said, it wouldn't be the first time there was a total letdown with a WDW announcement!

Well, giving you a 7 day MYW base ticket for the price of a 4 day isn't much of a price break because the price difference isn't that much to begin with. 7 hotel nights for the price of 4 is a rockin' discount IF you can figure out how to stay for 7 nights during those dates. The gift card makes it even better. We could go for a week in June but by the time we paid airfare it would be eating into our money for the August trip, so it's not worth it. I would LOVE to be able to go in January but 4-5 nights would be the absolute max so we wouldn't save any money!

Right, the ticket discount - while sounding good to newbies - is something like $9 per person!

Adding to that rumor... when someone asked about it, a CM said it's "juicier than that", and Mary isn't denying it.


ETA: most people assume it will be the same 4/3 for dining as well.

I think we're going to just add a week to our stay, essentially. I'm not positive though, becuase we have SUCH good airfare right now (<$400 total for all of us!) (which would obviously go out the window with change fees, etc). We'd just switch resorts if the deal were good enough, but our DVC points would be lost. We have to use at least 82 of them since it's too late to bank them.

That's our problem too. I borrowed points from next year for our March trip. However, if the deal is better than this, I may talk Chuck into going for 7 days another time.

That's really what I'd rather do (2 week-long trips instead of 1 2-week one), but Kyle doesn't have vacation any other time and I can't hardly take the girls without him -- not exactly fair

If you borrowed from next year, they go back into next years U/Y -- you should be fine! Ours are from our current year, which is why we can't use them. They'd go back into this U/Y and we've missed our banking date.

Aaaaand, major letdown it was.

The "biggest promotion Disney has ever done" is exactly like one in the not-too-distant past, except that it adds a measly $200 gift card on top. I'd take it, but it's certainly not worth the hype or an additional/longer trip!

No you aren't.... it's just not. I mean, it's good if you were going to go 3 or 4 days or something, but even then you'd have to theoretically buy tickets, food, etc for the extra days which (with food anyway) is as much or more than a room rate! ...

I am going to try a new recipe in the crockpot with pork chops(well new to me). It just calls for the chops, stuffing mix, & cream of whatever soup. I hope it turns out good!

Good luck to all that are wanting to get in on the Dlsney Deal that will come out today. From what I have read it might be a stay for 4, get 3 free!

It's great! We make that all the time. We have only done the stuffing mix once but it is yummy!
