I just got a new Market Basket flyer in the mail. They have a complete Thanksgiving dinner for 8 - 10 people for $55. I called my mother, trying to convince her that it would be cheaper, not to mention easier to just buy it all done. She said that it would take all the fun out of Thanksgiving :confused3 :lmao: Crazy Lady.

It adds to the fun! Gives us more time to work on the Christmas puzzle we always start on Thanksgiving Day.

We're going to a Stuffed Animal Sleepover tonight.

The kids get to take a stuffed animal to the Community Center to play games and have a snack. Then we leave the stuffed animals and pick them up in the morning. When we pick them up, they'll give us a scrapbook, depicting what the stuffed animals did all night. Hopefully, they'll behave themselves! ;)

I also am bringing a "back-up" stuffed animal, just in case a certain 2-year-old changes his mind about leaving Pooh Bear. :rotfl:

What a unique idea! If I lived closer I would take you to the Harry Connick show!

I was just reading a thread about teacher gifts. I just don't know if we are going to be able to swing teacher gifts this year! DS has SEVEN teachers, plus his percussion instructor (who is a different guy than the band director). The overwhelming consensus is for gift cards. Last year I did Barnes & Noble cards for the teachers. $15 for Math & Language Arts because they were double length periods (and I really liked those teachers), and $10 for everyone else. I think I might have to scale back a bit.

I just called DH. They have been sitting in the exam room for 45 minutes. It is an hour and 35 minutes past DS's appointment time and they have not seen the Dr. :sad2: I'm sure they are both furious at me, but DS's cough sounds horrible. Better for the 2 of them to sit there than for me to take DS tomorrow and have to sit there with Princess!

man that stinks for the wait.

Jennifer - Good deal on the photo book! :thumbsup2

DH called to say they are FINALLY out of the Dr's office. The doctor was furious that they were kept waiting for almost 2 hours. DH said the Dr. went out and yelled at one of the office staff.
He listened to DS's cough and gave him a prescription for a Z-pack, but he said it may not help. :confused3 I guess if the Z-pack doesn't do any good we will just wait for it to run it's course.

Thanks! Is Anne-Marie our Anne-Marie? :)

That sounds so cute!

I just called Glynis because we hadn't heard from her in awhile. Well, her internet is down again. So I gave her my lowdown and got hers.

Peanut is estimated to be about 6lbs, so Mary's record is safe:goodvibes and she has gotten all her Christmas shopping done except the kids for dad and she'll have them do that tomorrow. She feels as big as a house (who doesn't at this point in a pregnancy?) and I don't think she can wait to meet Peanut in person.
Thanks for the update! Peanut will be here before we know it.

I decided to try to sort out all the totes in my basement. They used to all be labeled, but not anymore. I found a whole tote of jeans and cordorouys that actually "fit" Hunter. He where mine and my brother's as kids. My mother gave them to me years ago and I forgot  His closet is now overstocked with pants :confused3 Chris has 4 totes of clothes down there that he has most likely forgotten about. Maybe someday I can get him to weed through them. He is a pack rat so I don't know how much he would part with anyway. Maybe the entire totes should just disappear :rolleyes1 I bet I got though half the totes so maybe this weekend I'll conquer the others.
Good for you! I used to have mine all organized by size neatly too but now I just have them sort of all thrown together. Emma is getting so tall that I can put stuff Joe outgrows right from his draws to hers. I really have to sort the stuff for my niece before her DD outgrows some of it and before she buys stuff she might not have to. And I want the stuff out of my house!

:scared1: OUTRAGEOUSE!!!! Glad the Dr realized how awful it was. :wizard: How the Z-pack works!!!

I'm hoping to get some sewing done this weekend. Monday I finished up a few things from about 15 years ago. A fabric panel book and some bibs out of finger tip towels. I also finished an American Girl size night gown that I started in July. It wasn't perfect so I put it aside. Lizzy (and Molly) seem pretty happy with it not that it is done and haven't complained (or noticed) the imperfections. I also made Emma 2 tops. One out of raining cats & dogs fabric that she wore to school a rainy day this week. She said her teacher, the assistant and a few classmates loved it. I also made her a top to wear to a racing themed birthday party this weekend. And I made Molly a pair of jeans out of an old pair of my jeans. They were super easy and so cute.

I need to make a colored pencil roll up for the birthday boy and I want to get a few Christmas presents made this weekend.

I'm really glad my twin is smarter than a fifth grader. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

She booked and paid fopr our trip to Orlando. I booked and paid for our trip home. Or at least I thought I had.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

She just happened to look at the itinerary and noticed on December 16th we were leaving BWI arriving at MCO. Hmmmmmmmm, no. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Thank goodness there were flights available leaving from MCO arriving at BWI on December 16th or I would be toast.;) :rolleyes1

Deb- Thanks for the ornaments. I will post pics later.

Good evening friends,

We had a very busy day, we also broke one of our Disney records but I'm not going to tell yet. I've added a little to the trip report but I need to get some sleep, we have an early breakfast at Tusker House and need to get things packed up before we head out. We are plannig on heading out sometime after lunch.

Woo hoo, I just tied Kevin! Thanks Karen, Jennifer, Deb, and Tom!

Did you know I'm a little competitive? ;) :teeth:

You know I love you, but you are ridiculous! :rotfl: Don't worry, eventually you'll have people you KNOW you have never met wanting to be your friend.... just please don't start that to get ahead! ;)

Because I post so sporadically, I shall start Jen's birthday wishes one day early!

Happy Birthday Jen! :bday:

I used to teach Pygmalion, so I'm predicting you are going to have a GREAT day with your MIL! ;)

Thanks.... on both accounts. I'll let you know if you're right about the second ;)
