Good Morning all!!

You are on a posting roll and it has been fun catching up in real time.

The Colorado Bandmasters take 20 4A bands out of regionals and on to the next step. LHS ended up 18th (a tempered dance because the show is so much better than it's being scored). The bad thing is the 18th band gets to perform first and as happens scores tend to be lower at the beginning of the day.

I'm glad they made it. You didn't sound like it was going to happen so getting to go is a great achievement. Maybe they can just have fun now?

Frito Lay doesn't have official socks. Hmm. Probably just as well.

Uncle2 just sent me a thing about a recall on my car. Ironically, DH and I recently noticed the very thing they are recalling is malfunctioning! How convenient! There is something wrong with the airbag sensor in my front passenger set. The bag turned off the other day when DH was sitting there, and that should NOT happen.

I spoke with her and she said to fill out the questionnaire. But then I read the fine print. Minimum is $295! So, yes, it's not cheap. But they will do evenings/resorts. I'm still thinking on it. I asked Nicholas last night what he would like to do the evening of his bday. Of course I only gave him the option of DTD or walking around the Boardwalk. He wants to go to DTD, but he is attracted to the Lego store.

I would say you should pitch that to them, but they aren't big on uniforms. DH has some logo shirts but they don't HAVE to wear company-issue shirts. They have to wear black sneakers, but I don't think there is a regulation about socks.

They announced that they are laying off 130 people from the headquarters near us (HR, marketing, that sort of thing). DH said he heard a rumor that there may be as many as 3000 layoffs nationwide. I told you guys they are trying to switch around the way they deliver product, but from the way they described it they will have to hire MORE people, not get id of the people they already have. Who knows.

You are right I was surprised that they do get to go.
The whole season Cassidy has been down because there are maybe 1/4 of the band who wants to actually be there performing. The rest are there filling space in the hopes to go on the Japan trip (kind of the same way they had high #'s before the Austria trip). So I am very disappointed for kids like Cassidy because they've worked their tails off only to know that all of their efforts seem to be for naught.

anyone have any thoughts about how incredibly crowded WDW is over Thanksgiving week? I am pondering it for next year. Jackie being is high school is really going to cramp my style
