I do not want to go to work this afternoon. I would rather stay on here and chat with all of you!

Me too. Unfortunately the boys will be through the door any minute and we will be off to my Mom's. She gets to babysit this afternoon as I go in early. I know that the boys are looking forward to making a big pile of leaves in jumping in. Since it is a beautiful afternoon they should be able to do so

Chanon called me earlier, her & Bob were at US waiting to get on the Simpson ride. I asked her about the baby on the cake & I cannot remember exactly what she said, but it has to do with a tradition that her family put on her cakes while growing up.

Anne Marie she wanted me to tell you she met a lady that lives in your area!(can't remember the name of the town other than it starts with a W Sorry I was at work & it was getting busy!).

Is anyone watching Disney on the travel channel? I watched Animal Kingdom, skipping Disney Cruise and then at 4 is WDW behind the scenes.

The only wild deer I have ever seen was at WL on the way over to the GF. I think it would be neat to have them in the yard.

Yes and no. I think it is neat to have them in our yard when they aren't eating all my plants and leaving behind their little messes.

We also had a three-legged doe and a fawn last summer and the summer before. Well, she had four legs, but the one front one wasn't formed correctly and didn't touch the ground. I really wish she had been here again this summer. Or maybe she was but it was while we were gone. I've been wondering about her.

Beth, funny you should mention eating your plants. As I posted before, my mom had mums out for 2 weeks and the deer never touched them, then on day along came a buck and ate them all.

This deer was definitely born with only 3 legs, as you can see the joint and then it stopped.


We did have another 3 legged one, but security got permission to put it down as it was very sickly.

Beth, funny you should mention eating your plants. As I posted before, my mom had mums out for 2 weeks and the deer never touched them, then on day along came a buck and ate them all.

I think that the chipmunks and squirrels have done far more damage to my plants than the deer overall. It's just when the deer come through, they can take everything off all at once.

We can't even put our pumpkins out early without the squirrels and chipmunks attacking. One year I hid plastic Easter eggs in the back yard. The kids went out within 15 minutes of me placing them, and quite a few had holes chewed right through them already (and no candy!) Smart squirrels!

I'll see if I can find a picture of our deer. She definitely had a hoof and everything on the fourth leg, but it was curled up by her body and not usable at all.

These are from May 2007. You can see the deformed leg. I don't know if she was born like that or if something happened to her. I hope she is ok and just chose to hang out elsewhere this year.

I guess I should go get something ready for Miles to eat, since he has to leave for swimming in an hour. And then make dinner for the rest of the family. I am feeling so very lazy today...

No school tomorrow!!!! Though I don't know why I'm so happy about that. If there were school, I'd be all by myself all day.

I need to put Princess's clean laundry away. I folded it while she was sleeping.

I am THRILLED that there is no school tomorrow, because the stress level is SOOO much lower in the evenings if there is no school the next day. Especially since DS won't get home until almost 6 PM tonight.
Homework, dinner, and a shower don't fit in that span of 6 PM - 9 PM very well because he takes so long to complete each one of those things. DH and I end up hounding him for 3 solid hours trying to keep him on task, then he is all mad by the time he gets into bed. Best case scenario would be for him to take a booster pill immediately after school on the days he has to stay late, but the hassle of dealing with the school nurse to get that done isn't worth it, and if he got caught carrying a Ritalin tablet they would suspend him.

The police have given the all clear, they've decided that there wasn't another person after all and they have all of them in custody.

Tonight is football, and I've promised Brandon I would take him for Mexican afterwards.
