phew....that's more than I thought!!

Wow! Is this exchange growing, or what??? I have to tell you, my kids have been talking about it for the last couple of months. They love this one!

I think your list looks great, and I don't mind counting Cassidy as an adult if she doesn't mind.

Grrr.

We got a calendar that said percussion practice every Tue & Thur, but the director NEVER mentioned it to the kids. I told DS MULTIPLE times to verify what the deal was, but he didn't. Today the entire section got blasted for not showing up for practice yesterday. The director knows I have that calendar because I got it at Open House. Honestly, HOW HARD IS IT to say "Percussion practice at 3:30 today, you guys!" I told DS yesterday morning if he had to stay for Band to call DH, but he is flighty. A reminder from the teacher would have been infinitely useful.

Now he has decided to punish the kids by making them copy over the grading guidelines where it states after school practice is mandatory. DS can not copy over stuff like that. It absolutely boggles him and he gets very frustrated. He still has a core class to attend after Band every day, so he can NOT get worked into a lather and then go off to Reading.

I e-mailed the director but since he is TERRIBLE at communication I doubt he will respond.

silly girl thought she might not do the exchange...like she had a choice:confused3 :rotfl:

I don't get Burton either. And I thought he and Carter were just dating?

Tia - I can't believe your trip is so close!!! I hope you guys have so much fun, and that Phil has a good time, too! I know how much it means to you and to Terra that he is coming. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Thanks, Glynis! About Monday he started to panic about the trip. He's been doing pretty well though and seems excited, at least when talking to Terra. She is, of course, thrilled beyond belief. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly and he'll have a good time even if he never feels the urge to go again.

Theresa, I think its fine Miss Cassidy is pulled with the adults.

Well, I guess I'd better get moving. We just got home from the dermatologist, where I had a couple of moles removed, and picking up Phil. I stopped by the library and picked up the book you mentioned, Beth, so now I have reading for the plane. The family I'm going to babysit for after we get back should be by here in a little bit to make sure they know how to get here and to drop off a few things. After that, I have a Daisies parent meeting and have to pick up Rachel. Then I'll finish the sewing projects and head to bed. Tomorrow is packing and mowing. Then Friday I finish the clean up stuff, we hit the Talk Like a Pirate Day event, get Phil and we're off! :woohoo:

Here in Pa. she would be considered his common law wife, after being together 7 years.

I think this might be the only place where we are not in the same frame of mind. I just don't get Tim Burton or (forgive me all) Johnny Depp. :confused3

I'm half way there with you. I don't get Tim Burton and don't get Alice in Wonderland. However, I  Johnny Depp's awesome talent. I haven't liked all of the characters he played but he has amazing talent (and I love Cap'n Jack.

I hope Phil enjoys seeing Terra so happy, even if WDW isn't really his thing! :wizard:

Glynis - OK, so they aren't married. Minor detail. I like dark, twisty, HERMIT bachelors who are mysterious and kind of anti-social! :lmao:
Like Jack Skellington! So he really is still my soulmate! (We'll ignore the part where he falls in love with Sally at the end.)

It sounds like you have your departure planned to the minute. I hope that this is the best trip ever for all of you. I know how hard you've planned and how much Terra is looking forward to having Daddy with her and who can blame her? :wizard: :wizard:

Here in Pa. she would be considered his domestic wife, after being together 7 years.

I thought that domestic partnership was abolished a while ago? I don't think it stands up in court. That makes them simply boyfriend and girlfriend.

We left here and picked up Hunter's homework on the way to my parent's house. Then I headed off to work. Thankfully it was slow and I was able to leave early. I only had to lift one of the huge trays and boy was I reminded exactly how weak I am feeling. :headache: I survived in any event. I don't work again until Sunday night so I should be back to 100% by then. I am supposed to go out of town with Chris on Friday for a car show. My SIL will babysit Colby after school. We should be home early evening. Saturday we have an afternoon wedding. Tomorrow we have the school openhouse/community picnic and bowling league sign up. It seems that our days keep filling up.

Hi,
sorry I have not time to catch up...Yesterday was a rough day. Sophie came home & told me she passed out in school. Turns out she fell (none of the monitors saw her!) & hit her head & blacked out for a minute. She got up with her friends around her looking at her & she was embarrased so she didn't tell anyone. So of course I took her to the Dr who told me to take her to the ER right away. They did some tests & she has a concussion. No gym for a week & we have to keep an eye on her for vomiting or disorientation. We didn't get in until after 10pm so I am letting her sleep in & she will go to school late.

I had called her teacher yesterday to ask why no one saw her fall & I got alot of baloney. I am calling the principal (who is a real pitbull) to tell her what happened. I know she will blow me off & but I am going to make my point known.

Daniel's bus broke down coming home last night & one of Katie's teachers has some real mental problems so things here are very bumpy at the moment.

Oh & we may be moving before December so that has been a real whirlwind.

Sorry for the long post....Hope all is well you all.
Poor Sophie to be afraid to tell her teacher she was hurt.

:wizard: Good luck over the next few months!:wizard:

HI! :goodvibes

No time really at all to post, but I wanted to check in. I have been keeping updates on the laptop which I posted to the blog today if anyone is interested in the events of our last few days. Don't worry, only "Part 1" (of .... 5?) is very long. It's also the most interesting though, with everything but cows flying along the highway, my adventures in helping my dog pee, etc. It's been interesting to see what a whole day of hurricane winds can do to a city that a) wasn't expecting much and b) doesn't even sell any building materials in town that withstand much more than 40-50mph winds! I'm just glad we don't get the water, too! :wizard:

I hope everyone is doing well. I plan on catching up some day (about 40 pages back so far... slow down! :rotfl:) Please let me know if our friends in Texas and Illinois are doing all right! :grouphug:
Glad you got your electricity back. Thanks for checking in.
