DDA Chapter 11

Kristine - Sorry you have a sick kid!

Anne Marie - I am enjoying all of your pics! :goodvibes
It's funny, we decided we were glad we didn't rent a car! :rotfl: Other than that one REALLY horrible wait for the bus we didn't have any problems.
They do keep CP really cold. I always bring a jacket. DH likes the CS in Morrocco. I liked it the first time we ate there, but then when we went back (on a different trip) I didn't like it as well.
We'll definitely go back to Tusker, CP, and Boma for breakfast. We also like Kona for breakfast, but it is kind of a pain to get there from AKL. We won't go back to Chef Mickey's or Ohana - been there, done that. We'll go back to Flying Fish, Kona, Wolfgang Puck's, Yak & Yeti, Cape May, Boma and Yachtsman for dinner. We never made it to Spoodles. We won't go back to Tutto Italia. Citrico's was good, but not as good as Flying Fish. Narcoosee's was good, and so was Cali Grill but we probably won't do both in the same trip unless it is a LONG trip. I had filet mignon at both, so I am trying to think which place I liked better. The view from Cali Grill was amazing, and the sushi was really good, too. So probably Cali Grill over Narcoosee's by a thin margin.

Tammi - Great pics! I hope the kids have a great first day of school!

Janet - You reminded me that we can skip 1900 Park Fare for breakfast next time. It wasn't THAT good, and again, it is a pain to get there from AKL. We like the food at Boma, and it is cheaper than a character breakfast. We'll still do the 8 AM seating at Crystal Palace and the 10:30 AM at Tusker. I guess maybe I can replace our typical Chef Mickey breakfast with Kona, although I think Kona stops serving breakfast earlier than CMs.
Shame that 1900 PF isn't that good for dinner. I would love to see the step sisters, but not if the food isn't good.

We had great luck with the buses this trip, and we've never really had a problem in all of our trips. They were crowded, and we stood often, but they were always there quickly. I'm torn about having a car, but I think we'd drive down the next time we all go (depending on what airfare looks like then). When we have had a car in the past, it's been great. When we've been on the buses, they've been really good, too. I think I definitely prefer driving to the waterparks, though. I don't think I'd rent a car if staying on site, but I would drive ours to parks if we had it there.

I wasn't very impressed with breakfast at 1900 Park Fare either. I did enjoy Prime Time though! There are still so many places we have not tried, I need to be a little more adventurous lol

Oh, we will go back to Coral Reef, and not Garden Grill.

Wow. That's 9 dinners right there. I guess I am ready to do ADRs for next August! :rotfl:
IF we can get a concierge studio we won't do many TS breakfasts - we'll just grab some cereal in the lounge. If we get a plain studio we'll still only do a few TS breakfasts and eat at Mara the rest of the time. Boma breakfast is good for departure day, so we'll stick with that.

I don't see us ever driving to Disney again & once I get there I don't worry about a rental car. No driving for me lol This past trip the buses were great for us as well, we never had much of a wait & like you we did have to stand at times. But as least we were on it :thumbsup2

I like 50's, but I like the dinner menu better than the lunch one. I almost think we'd rather go to Cape May for dinner on an MGM night, though. Great. Now I am confused! :rotfl2:

Ditto on that one!

I already have places picked out for next year as well :rotfl: This is going to be a long year waiting! I do have the trip in Dec. at least to tide me over a little.

Bernadette when are you going in May :rolleyes1

We had to stand a couple of times, but overall the buses weren't very crowded. The SSR buses were more crowded than AKL. Of course when we go back Kidani will be open and the AKL buses will probably be MUCH more crowded. :scared:

Beth love your photo pass pictures, looks like you all had a great time!

I wish we had gotten more character pictures, but the boys just weren't into this trip :guilty:

Well hopefully not!

I still have not mailed the hook pin yet, I promise I will try & do that this week!!

I am going to whine a little & probably sound ungracious for the trip that I just took & the one coming up, but I am really bumming that I am going to miss going to MNSSHP this year.

It is pretty sad pricing out a solo trip when I know I can't do it(well I could maybe, but I'm sure Gary would flip out!). Plus I keep thinking I could get one more trip in before my AP expires. Pretty pathetic :sad2:

I just have to keep telling myself that I will have a beautiful new kitchen soon!

my laptop had died a very painful death :sad2:

there's a purchase I wasn't planning to make....I feel lost without it.

Well I need to get ready for work, is it Thursday yet?

Chat with you all later!

Thanks!

My two weren't as into the characters this time either. They wanted to see characters some, but they didn't want to spend the time at meet and greets when they could be on rides. Laura wanted to go to the Princess room at MK on her birthday, but then she was so soaked and miserable that she decided not to. I wish that I had forced them to wear ponchos that day, but hindsight is 20/20. By the time I convinced them to go with ponchos, they were too wet and miserable to have them make any difference without going back to Pop and changing.

I am headed to the post office right now!

Yikes! I hope you can find a good deal on a new one!

Thanks!

Every time we looked at the wait times for those greeting lines it was 75 minutes! :scared1: And I know the last time we waited it was posted 20 and we waited for more like 40, so there was NO WAY I was getting in a line that said 75!

Elizabeth, being DVC owners is supposed to allow you the opportunity to eat in your room. Get a box of cereal and some milk and OJ!

For just under $760,000 I can buy enough points to stay the other 51 weeks of the year in an AKV concierge studio. Added to our current one week of points that covers us for the entire year. For the next 49 years. What a BARGAIN! I bet if I buy resale I can shave a little more off the price, too.

The Alaska one looks incredible, and that would be close to 12 grand for 4 of us!

The Adventures program is very pricey. I don't see us doing it, unless that is how they set the Hawaii resort up, but I think it will be more like HH.

Back to school today!

Your ex husband may have been a real tool, but the two of you made beautiful children  I guess he was good for one thing :rotfl:
