DDA Chapter 11

By the way, any of you August travelers...I'd love to see your photopass pictures, please email to me! Thanks!

Becky,
Welcome back!! Can't wait to see pictures & hear about your cruise.

Tammi, I missed it! Did you book one?! I want to cruise again :( You will have so much fun!!! (However, did you book a land and sea, or just a cruise and you'll do your own land planning? It's definitely cheaper if you do the latter).
No, I haven't booked anything. But I'm going to start looking! If/when I do book I will book land and sea separately. But I'm going to take Anne Marie's advice and do the cruise portion last.

Not sure where I left off....

Kids getting off the monorail..they got to ride up front twice.:lovestruc

Wow cool!! I'd be glad to help (with my limited cruise knowledge) but just let me know.
Thanks I'll let you know. One question though...did you book a DD at CC or was that a surprise to you? I've been looking at the itineraries and I don't see any DDs listed.

As far as having a car at Disney, I would take that horribly long drive every trip if it meant having my car. It took us no more than 15 minutes to get anywhere which was so convinient. We took the bus one day when we knew we would be park hopping & not sure where we would end up & that was a mistake. The bus was crowded & the people were crabby. It was also nice to leave the wet ponchos in the trunk to dry off at night.

Fay gave us a lot of rain & wind which kept the parks empty (relatively) which was great. On a MK day we did almost every ride in the park without any waits. Once the free diners came in though it was more crowded. The kids had alot of nice things happen for them (dream FP, riding up front in the monorail, being chosen for Jedi training & pirate tutorial, meeting the mayor, & other little fun stuff like being allowed to ride Goofy's Barnstormer 5 times in a ride while it was pouring)

We enjoyed POR alot more this time. We caught some of Bob Jacksons' number in the lounge, used both pools, & ate at Boatwrights on our last day. The staff there were very nice & our room was clean & comfortable...however I missed my own bed.

We had some great meals..the surprise of all was Prime Time, The food was delicious!!! i was not expecting how great the food was there. Also Le Cellier was wonderful. Hollywood & Vine was also yummy with great service. The only place I did not like was Crystal Palace...It was freezing in there! They must want to turn the tables over quickly because I have never been THAT cold in a restuarant before. Some of the food had changed & there is alot of egg & rice dishes now..very cheap. We did like the company of Bernadette & her gang  but I think we will skip CP next time. Oh & we tried Morocco counter service - YUMMO! If you haven't tried it you should, it was very good.

It was a great trip!!! Now back to normal life!

5th day of school and I have a sick kid...how does this happen? :sad2:

Beth,
You have some great pictures, my favorite was the one with Baloo and King Louie. Where did you find Christopher Robin with Pooh, I've never seen him.

Thank you! That is actually Darby who is new to the whole Pooh scene. Laura is afraid of her. :rotfl: We happen to love Christopher Robin, because that is who we all grew up with. I wish he were around.

I'm Home! I got home around 8:30pm.

Boo hoo

Welcome home! I know exactly how you feel...I've been home a little more than a week, and I'm still kicking and screaming about it.

About 2 hours. I'll leave work as soon as I transmit payroll and I have an overnight bag packed. :cool1:

Thanks Tia. I hope they do too. I still vote for no operation...:goodvibes

Thanks Glynis.

:wizard: :wizard:  Denise. I hope she goes peacefully after you get there.

Kristine, I hope Bill feels better soon.:goodvibes

I really hated that book. I can still remember parts of it. I read it more than 40 years ago!!!:scared1:

Prayers and pixiedust: go with you, Steffy! I hope that the right answer becomes very clear to all of you.

I now understand why Laura was bellyaching so much about reading the book.

:welcome: home Becky!!:cool1:

Well, I feel really good today. I finally bought return airfare for Terry and my Mousefest trip. I knew the airfare would go down. Just knew it. I don't know if it was a holiday special or what. But it was $177 for the two of us...:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: So we're coming home from Disney in December...:goodvibes :cool2:

:yay: for airfare (even it if does mean you have to come home)!

Beth your photos are great. I love all the shirts :thumbsup2 You all looked so relaxed and happy :goodvibes

Thanks! We had a wonderful vacation...sogginess and missing the rest of the family and all!

Summer is officially over. The pool is closed. School starts tomorrow. Homework. Lunches. Bedtimes. Activities. Blech.

:sad2:

So I was talking to Bob yesterday about the Adventures by Disney trips. He said "I thought the next thing was a cruise?" Let the planning begin!!!!! I'm thinking a week in WDW followed by a 3 or 4 night cruise.

Have fun planning!!! I looked at those Adventures by Disney trips a few years ago when they first came out, but they are prohibitively expensive for a family of 5.

I woke up singing this song today:

"I won't grow up,
----I won't grow up
I don't want to go to school.
----I don't want to go to school"

:rotfl:
I think I'll be singing that one tomorrow!

I hated that book, but one of my favorite pieces I have ever written (and the only one I think I saved (somewhere) from my AP English classes) was on Lord of the Flies + Heart of Darkness!

Two of my favorite books combined into one great paper!

There, there it will be alright.

Ladies, you must stop giving Elizabeth chest pains.

Well, I did say not to tell Elizabeth, didn't I? :rotfl:

Tammi love the back to school pictures!

Anne Marie thanks for sharing your pictures with us. So glad to hear you all had such a wonderful time! Still waiting to see your photo pass pictures :teeth:

Anne Marie I agree about breakfast at Tusker House, we will be eating there again! Did you have lunch or dinner at CP? We had lunch & I thought it was pretty good. Chef Mickey's & 1900 Park for dinner are ones that I do not care to go to again. Characters are good, but the food is blah, except of course the desserts :rotfl:

I was very surprised with Cape May for Dinner as well. We all enjoyed that meal & will return.
