DDA Chapter 11

Welcome back Becky. Were you able to drive to work today?

Jen any photos of your classroom? I'm glad that you feel ready. We'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

Anne Marie I hope that NC works out for you if that is what you want. How soon would you be moving?

So I was talking to Bob yesterday about the Adventures by Disney trips. He said "I thought the next thing was a cruise?" Let the planning begin!!!!! I'm thinking a week in WDW followed by a 3 or 4 night cruise.

Cool Beans :cool1:

Maybe next year in December????

So which ride would you choose?

The boys and I choose Expedition Everest. We could live inside the mountain and we'd have a spectacular view from the top. We could even view the Savannah.

We all said no way to It's a small World :lmao:
I would definitely say no to RnRC because I spend enough time on the flipping freeway as it is. Same with Test Track. I think either HM, just because it would be so cool to party with ghosts, or TGMR because I would love to live In The Movies.

Grrrr. My afternoon is taking a nose dive.
Princess wet her bed during her nap. Now her bedding is in the wash, she has had a bath, and I am wondering just how many pairs of panties she wet in over the weekend. There are only 2 in her drawer. I thought she had 13 pairs, which means 1 in the wash, 2 in the drawer, and TEN in the basket of dirty laundry? So she went through 3 pairs of panties every day? She is going back to school next week. I sincerely hope she plans to use the potty at school! She has been staying dry for me. The panties she puts on in the morning stay dry until I go home at night, so she should NOT be averaging 3 pairs every day on the weekend. :sad2:

DS just called. He gave the CASH to the PE coach. Coach said they are not issuing receipts, and that they won't have the uniforms for 2 more weeks, and DS won't get a uniform unless he pays now. Whatever! Please note that we NEVER got anything in writing, e-mail, or otherwise, about these uniforms. Just DS coming home and telling us he needs $10 CASH for a uniform. The coach took his money and wrote his name down, along with his size. They had a choice of S, M, or L. Are these ADULT sizes? I am NOT happy with the PE coach. What's wrong with sending home an ORDER FORM?

DS also brought home a packet about going to Washington, DC. In JUNE. For 3 days, to the tune of $1500! :scared1: Registration deadline is Oct. 31. Gee, let me think. NO! Definitely NOT. I will look at the packet but I am really not interested in sending him. Of course he is already arguing that ALL of his friends are going. I doubt it. DH said it will be like ALL of his friends going on the band trip to Six Flags. In the end almost NONE of his friends went! And that didn't cost $1500!
Come on! You could volunteer to chaperone and then hang out with Elin, Robyn and me!

Well... with Robyn and Heidi needing a total of 5 bedrooms our MickeyMansion is growing to very good proportions! ;)

ETA: More DDA bedrooms are now needed too. I guess Bob and I need to make an appointment with a luxury real estate broker this month! :rotfl2:

Now whether Stephanie would need one for her family, I am not sure, but I know we could share a room when we are traveling. It does have to have a balcony tho!!!!!

Things seem to be coming together for NC...If so, we will be at Disney early to mid August!:thumbsup2

How exciting! When will Dana know for sure?

Come on! You could volunteer to chaperone and then hang out with Elin, Robyn and me!

Nope. Adults are $1700! We're not messing with a DC trip.

DH and I have been chatting about concierge vs. regular studio and we think we might go with the plain one. We have enought points to cover all 9 nights in a plain one, AND we won't have to move at all during our stay. If we did concierge we would only do 7 nights of that and 2 nights of something else, which would cost about $450 OOP. Eh, better to just get the plain studio and pony up the $6 for extra towels. Moving from room to room is a huge pain, and that $450 will come in handy for airfare!

Carousel of Progress

My kids weren't either. They didn't even want to do autographs. I guess that's what happens when you go as much as we all do. Plus, waiting is not what we do best.

This was the main reason, they did not want to wait & I agree about the going so much. But I have no plans of changing that lol

Chanon & Janet,

From Allears..(oohhh QUEEN beds!)
Coronado Springs Resort is undergoing some upgrades over the next several months. The resort is in the process of replacing its double beds with queens (the Rancho section is complete, as are Casitas 4 & 5). In addition there will be new furniture to suit modern tastes, but still in theme. One hundred rooms will get upgraded to king beds (CSR will then have 224 king rooms). All of the rooms are getting flat screen TVs. Tables are being replaced with desks so that floor space is preserved after putting in larger beds. In addition to these room changes, one Coronado Springs building will be transformed into a "Business Club" building. All Business Club Level rooms will have two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, desk and chair, vanity area with sink, a ceiling fan and a bathroom. These rooms offer views of the lake, courtyard or parking lot. Business Club Level services include personalized Front Desk and Guest Services, turndown service and a lounge with continental breakfast, midday snacks and evening wine (additional fee) and cheese. Amenities include DVD player, in-room wall safe, voice mail, data port, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, mini-fridge, robes and coffee maker. A crib is available upon request. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. Most of these updates are being made with a minimal impact on guests.

Maybe if I ask nicely... :teeth:

Janet - you're getting close to a milestone!!!

I'm turning in early tonight. I gave up my diet Cherry Pepsi (at least in huge quantities) when I started my diet today. I'm hoping that I will sleep better.

That's us too. We are very happy to have meals in our room, in fact I hate having to eat each meal out. Towels are easy enough to wash if we need more and we really don't spend a ton of time in our accommodations. If we had concierge I would feel like I needed to be at the resort more thus leaving less touring time. Isn't it funny how we all operate differently:) I guess we are exactly why Disney needs so many resorts to choose from :thumbsup2

::yes::

We ate a lot in our room this past trip, but I would love to stay concierge someday!

What are everyone's dates for August next year? We are tossing around the idea of going in August instead of November. We want to get one more trip before Emma turns 10. But I am thinking that even though it may be hot we can definitely get more in during the summer and possibly get to see some DDA'ers. Nothing is for sure yet though.

August 5th - 15th here, I would love to meet you!

Since Disney sold 298 acres to 4 seasons why couldn't they sell some to us :confused3 They're aren't using the tree house villas. I'm sure a little home improvement and we could use those. We could have our own little community rather than one Mansion. ;)

They took them all down :guilty:

Oh I finally heard back from Emma's music teacher, she is the one in charge of this field trip. Anyway, she told me exactly what I knew I was going to hear. That each year it's a 1st come 1st serve basis, 11 sent in papers the first day for this trip, and that the classroom teacher keeps a list of who volunteers and makes sure that they "hopefully" don't get picked again. It's a bunch of BS as like I said the same ones go every time. But whatever, I am going to drive up with another mom and be there. And they wonder why they can't get parents into the schools here to help out. They will tell you over and over again that it's the same ones who do everything. :headache:

Well bummer! Sorry the answer was not better.
