When we try to plan around the school calendar we've found that the last half of August is a decent time to go... except for free dining often kicks in then making dining a hassle.. have to plan meals far ahead and can't change plans easily.
What makes it harder is we need to use the 7 month reservation window because our points don't stretch as well... need to add on with a resale in the same use year but haven't yet.
Also, we don't get the school year confirmed until just before it starts which makes it impossible to plan around any other breaks beside summer. And next summer Labor Day is in a weird spot and we can't be sure when school will start.
