DCL Transfer Question

We will be using the DCL Transfer from OKW to the Pier and the Pier to MCO. Can anyone help me with timing? My mom is leaving the resort the same day we are leaving for the cruise and I am hoping we will be able to get her on board DME before we get on the DCL transfer.

OKW to Pier on Thursday for 3 night cruise...what time is pick up usually?
Pier to MCO on Sunday...flight at 12:45 PM. What time should we be leaving the ship?

When we went on the 3 night last year, our pickup time at Beach Club was around 10-11 am I think. I know we had a character breakfast that morning before we left.

Our transfer to the airport afterwards was very early, I think we were off the boat before 9am. Our flights didn't leave until 2 and we were at the airport for several hours just waiting.

That is correct.

When arriving, you will be picked up at the resort you are staying around 10:30/11:00 am; it is about a 35 - 40 minute ride I believe from memory. You cannot get on the boat until noon; but by the time you deboard the bus and go through security, it will be about noon.

Coming back, they start deboarding at 8:00 and you must be off the boat no later than 9:00 or so - they have to make preps for the next cruise arriving at noon. You will walk through customs, grab your bags and get on the bus to go back to MCO. Depending on what time your flight is, you may have little or a lot of time hanging around the airport. Honestly, I preferred hanging around the airport for a few hours. There were people that decided against the advice of Disney to set up a flight no earlier than 11:00 am. Some really cut it close trying to leave earlier.

ME picks up for flights 3 hours prior to the flight. DCL did not pick us up before 1230pm. We were at KV

I think we will be able to get mom on her DME bus. She has a 12:45 PM flght, so she should be on a DME bus about 9:45 and our DCL bus should be along just about the same time or shortly after. That will work great. She's never flown alone before so we want to help as much as possible.

You can request an earlier DME bus for Mom back to the airport, here, to move the logistics of getting her on it away from your cruise bus time. This kind of request is always granted. Do this at least 2 days in advance of her checkout. This becomes her assigned bus and she are no longer entitled to the bus the normal 3 hours in advance of flight time.
