DCL transfer and PAT

Is it true that if you use DCL shuttle from MCO to the port, you get to start check-in as soon as you get there regardless of PAT? My flight gets in MCO little after 7am but my PAT is 1:15pm. If this is true I'm considering using the shuttle so that we can start our vacation few ours early.

Yes. We are taking DCL Transfers from MCO and have been told we don't need to go by the PAT. I asked a cm about it and was told this.

If your flight arrives at 7AM you will be waiting at the airport for a couple of hours until the busses start running.

I think is true for Miami as well. When I did my online check in for April cruise it said I did not have to pick a PAT and I am taking DCL transfers from the pre night hotel.

Yes that's fine, we'll grab some breakfast. This was the best price I could find and probably better in case of delays etc. But I want to get on the ship asap too. I just need to get through DCL customer service line to book the shuttle now.... earlier it was over 300 minutes so I had to hang up

If you call right as they open, the wait is usually pretty short. Otherwise, you can try to get through with the chat on the website. If you keep refreshing, you might get lucky.

On the website. It should pop up as a little box over to the right. It might be blocked if you're running any browser extensions that block scripts, though.

Will you use DCL transportation back to the airport after your cruise? If so, you should be able to add the DCL bus service for round trip transport online. If you use a travel agent, the TA will have to make this addition to your reservation. I don’t think you can do a one-way booking of the DCL bus online, but we have never tried to do that so YMMV.

I was able to book the transportation online. It was several months ago when I did it. It was either on their website or the app. It took me awhile to find the place to do it. I had to click on quite a few links to get to it.
