DCL Summer 2017 Megathread - Itineraries are out!

Nope. I was on one of the Alaskan crusies in August. It went in and out of Vancouver. Did not stop in Seattle or Victoria.

Alaska cruises that leave from Vancouver do not go to Victoria. Alaska cruises that leave from Seattle goes to Victoria because of that law.

We were on the first sailing out of Seattle for Alaska in 2012 (May 28th). The ship stopped in Victoria.

Also eagerly waiting for summer 2017 itineraries. Have my placeholder cruise booked and need to switch to a "real" cruise. pirate:

When will the remaining itineraries for 2017 come out? They released the Summer 2016 itineraries back in March of 2015. This is the end of March already, and when I contacted DCL they essentially said they had "no clue" as to when the remaining of 2017 will be released. Any one else wondering why DCL is taking such a long time? All the other cruise lines have their summer itineraries out already. Thoughts?

DCL should be coming out anytime now with May-August. DCL is usally about this time releasing may- August so right now they are really not late.

Thanks for the quick response. It's much appreciated! I guess I should have worded it differently. Last year they announced their summer itineraries on Tuesday March 24. Booking opened for Platinum and Gold members on Wednesday March 25, and everyone else on Thursday March 26. That was before the Easter holiday. I know Easter was early this year, but still even without that consideration they are basically a week behind from last year's announcement.

Hoping they announce tomorrow. We need to firm up our travel plans for next year and the wait is making it difficult.

FWIW - on the Magic over the weekend, I asked the CM at the future cruise desk about the late spring/summer 2017 itineraries and was told they would "come out in April".

April starts on Saturday. I bet next week we will know. I am taking the chill out and wait calmly approach.

That's what I meant. I am working a extra day this week so I am a little messed up on my dates.
Honestly, I had to look it up, I rarely know what day it is :D I just thought I remembered getting paid earlier this week (get paid last business day of the month)

This may be a silly worry, and it most likely is, but I've read that the cheapest day to book a cruise is on the first day the itineraries are released, and I'm kind of concerned that a swamped TA might not be able to book everyone's cruises on the first day. When I wrote my TA to let her know that I wanted to cruise again in October of 2017, she wrote back saying that she would add me to the list of clients who also wanted to book for that time period - late summer through the fall and that there were quite a few of us.

Can I book my own cruise and then transfer it over the TA? Would there still be OBC from the agency? Should I even be concerned?

I read a post on another website (that shall not be named but we all know what it is) that they called DCL to ask about their reservation then asked point blank and the CM told them the new dates would come out the first week of April. When this person pressed for me info they said the CM clammed up, probably because they shouldn't have said anything and of course, the call is always recorded (they say). Hmmm....who knows.....the plot, like my gravy, thickens :scratchin
