DCL Summer 2017 Megathread - Itineraries are out!

FYI I just checked the San Diego port calendar and the Wonder is showing up there on May 7, 12, 14 & 17 of 2017.

If the westbound panama canal cruise is 14 nights, this would have it leaving on April 23 2017, which makes sense since the last posted cruise for the wonder is a 3 night out of Port Canaveral on 4/20/17.
That's a week earlier than usual for the Panama Canal cruise. I doubt I'd book it because it conflicts with other cruises I already have booked. However, if I did go on that cruise - I'd be at WDW on my birthday the day before! :teeth:

Being a week earlier means hubby and son's birthdays will be ON the cruise instead of before! Yay for April birthdays :)

Now that it's Thursday and almost Easter weekend - I wouldn't expect to see the summer of 2017 available until next week.

The summer 2016 dates were released a year ago today (March 24), but there was a teaser put out 4 days prior announcing that dates would be released the following week. There has been no teaser and obviously the dates haven't been released yet. I'm beginning to think they may not even be released next week. =(

I spoke with a CM earlier this week regarding another issue and asked about the 2017 release. He said he thought it would be soon, but that Disney may release the itinerary on a Monday, allow the early Castaway Club bookings on Tuesday, and allow general public bookings on Wednesday. Not sure if there is any truth to this, but it did give me hope for next week.

I'm totally excited to see this but one thing worries me....how can the ship be in port on the 12th and 14th? That would mean another 2-night cruise and those are no longer allowed, right? Hum....

I hypothesized on another thread that perhaps that is a placeholder so Disney can choose 2 5 nights or a 7 night and a 3 night. As in, they may or may not be in SD on both of those dates. OR they are going down to Ensenada and back up again.

Oh yeah - all great points. :) I forgot that Ensenada was close enough that they could go there and back.

I guess I have to just wait and see. ;)

Any rumors on when they will release the information? Why are they so late releasing it?

Maybe next week. They are not late on releasing it. Maybe with Easter being earlier this year they moved it one week from the normal release time.

Should would have been nice to have the itineraries available to discuss with the family while everyone is together on Easter.

we're going to see that eclipse in 100% totality in S Carolina. Can't wait! Thanks for the reminder.

The DCL blog has an article about 2017 summer releases, there's a couple date's he may have pinpointed.
