Thanks for the "encouragement" and "compliments".... but I'll have you know my dear sweet spouse of 22 years has a way of keeping me "in line!" .... as she mildly thought I had taken the notion of throwing BOTH babies over-board a little too far....! Take a look....

Anyone know what I mean when I say this is the same way that "Ferengi" are sort of kept in line too... curious that it works on ... ME!!! Ayyii---EEEEE!!!!​

Who was having fun? A moment after the last photo was taken with my spouse stretching my ears they took me to the infirmary to put ice on my ears! Now I don't need to wear a mickey mouse ear cap to pass for a Mickey fan! LOL! Ok... maybe that's NOT the case... and we might just have a little fun as adults on the cruise. Ya kno... we can;t let the little ones have ALL the fun?

BTW... on another note, I thought I'd add that I've enjoied scrolling backwards through this thread looking at everyone's photo contributions! It makes me feel like I've just been on the Magic again in a little way!

OK....

so maybe my dear spouse may NOT have been stretching my ears after all.... the Ferengi rules of Aquisition number 69 says "Ear storking will get you ANYTHING!"...

I wanted to let you all know how much I have enjoyed this thread, please keep it going. It has taken me since 1998 to convince my husband to go on a Disney Cruise. He thought it was way too much money for just one week. I let him look at some of the pictures, and now he is as giddy as me about going!

I have a Canon Rebel XT digital slr that I love. I let a friend borrow it to take pics of her daughter at a cheerleading competition (her pics came out horrible...all blurry!), and ever since I can't take good action shots. I used it all last season during baseball, basketball & football for my kids. I need to figure out what is going on before we cruise in 3 weeks. Any suggestion? how do I change the speed?

Also, I never knew memory have speeds? How do I know what speed my memory card is? What speed do I want?

I have the Digital Rebel XT aswell and love it! About your photos...have you tried resetting the camera to its factory settings? Set the dial to P, then go to the menu and to the 2nd "tool" section. Select "clear settings", and then try "clear all custom functions". That should erase any settings that your friend might have changed. Also, try the sensor cleaning, same menu. If you are not comfortable with doing this (sensor cleaning), ask a good camera store, I'm sure they'll do it for you (for a fee, of course, but it's worth it! You should clean the sensor on a DSLR every now and then!
