Joe, have you started using Kevin's "secret" tool?

No... I use what's called "tone mapping".

We are seriously considering buying this camera especially for our cruise next month. What do you think of it? And, if my pics can look as good as yours, I am going to buy it in a heartbeat (granted, I am sure the photographer has a lot to do with it)

Yes, it's an excellent choice for a point and shoot superzoom camera. For a superzoom (10X optical) it's compact and lightweight and it's very simple and easy to use. There are no manual options though. The picture quality is partly the camera, partly the photographer and partly post processing. I'm pretty good at post processing, I think.

That's really pretty. Where was it taken?

Thank you! It was taken in Phillipsburg, St. Maarten...if you walk around the streets there you'll see a clock. I can't rememeber what street it's on...probably Frontstreet...it's one of the main drags there.
