Wow! Lots of great ideas here!!! If anyone is in the Western MD area (between Frederick and Hagerstown, MD) and interested in coming to a party, let me know... I will certainly be *borrowing* some of these great party plans!

Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know that we are also party hosts. I have invited a lot of people already but wanted to let anyone in our area to know that they are welcome to attend. Our party URL to check it out is http://houseparty.com/party/43939. We are having a great time planning and getting great ideas from all of you. As soon as I come up with anything different or clever I'll chime in. So far everything I've thought of has already been listed! Great minds... and all that:goodvibes .

where is So. Jersey do you live...Dh and I are fron so. Jersey origanally....

Wow, you have given me some great ideas.

I have a couple good pictures of the ship to blow up and make into a backdrop.

I love the ide of announcing the names and the horn. I just need to get a copy of the horn. Any suggestions?

I am thinking of doing a pin trading ( we have so many duplicates now)

Have my DGD's dressup in their princess costumes and have pixs and autographs. I think they will get a kick out of that.

I need to see if I have the Mickey Head to make those rice crispy treats. I may also try to make the Mickey bar. Fingers crossed on that one.

I was thinking of napkin folding, but the towel is cool. Where did you get the instructions? I have attended several napkin folding classes, but never a towel folding class.

Keep the ideas flowing.

UTube has lots of DCL horns....heres one

Hey there, we're in Mt Ephraim, which is just about at the base of the Walt Whitman Bridge. Easy access to to 295 or the turn pike.

So my question is...there are 99 op (DIS) that are having parties according to the poll....why are they not coming in here to share some great ideas!!! where are they:confused3

Seems very strange that so many are not hear, mostly since we all love to chat and share with each other and get excited with each other. I wonder out of the 99 how many are having the party or were just selected and decided not to.

We have been having a lot of fun connecting with people and getting help and ideas to make the party more fun. Right now we're organizing ideas and seeing what types of long-lead items we may need to order. I think we will definitely be announcing people upon arrival, and the horn will be prominent as we've settled on a sail-away theme; expecially since we WILL be sailing away 2 weeks after the party!:cool1: I'm thinking that maybe I will highlight some of our favorite PALO moments food-wise, mini chocolate souffle's (if I can find the proper containers. Otherwise couples may have to share) finger sandwiches and triffle from high tea; and maybe a couple of dessert pizzas to sample. The Mickey rice crispy treats dipped in chocolate will also be appearing! I need to search some menus for some more appetizer type ideas. Napkin folding, Bingo, and trivia will be prize winning activities. We're going to have a DVD station for information and another for vacation videoviewing. I'm also going to place all the scrapbooks around for viewing. :happytv: I am assuming there will be some sort of guidance in our packages about what we may NEED to cover, and that that will fill in the program. We are really looking forward to this license to talk about DCL with people who REALLY want to hear about it. If I come up with any more ideas I will pass them on. So far I seem to be repeating what has come before, but am excited to share anyway.:yay:

I think another thread got merged with this one.By the way....I'm so jealous of all these parties.....still looking for one that I can crash in northern CA.
Ditto this Monica!!* I'm looking for one in the Oklahoma City Area

We are planning to talk about the cruise and how much fun and affordable they can be! then open the dining room for an appetizer buffet and also do raffles throughout the talk and lull times. When you make your Mickey treats make sure to spray or butter your cutters for a smooth cutout. We also found phylo cups at Walmart of all places 15 for $1.66 here in WA, they taste great filled with lemon, chocolate or raspberry mousse. They are also great for savory or hot appetizers and look very pretty!
We also found some nice Mickey red round metal serving trays and a red metal beverage holder on sale 50% off! We are using black and yellow/orange napkins to finish off the Mickey colors. It looks really festive together. I wish they would update the site for what kind of favors we can look forward too and soon! :)

We are having trouble figuring out who to invite... Are we trying to just get numbers of people, or what? We are a pretty young family and a lot of our friends are just married w/o kids. Do we makke it a kids party and give the info to the parents when they come by? What to do what to do...

We were selected and having the party. I just don't have much time these days to chat. It's Christmas vacation & I've got 4 kidlings to entertain at home...

My party is an all girl party...no husbands or kids allowed. I am going to show my girlfriends what they are missing by not coming with us. And if anything they will have a great time and a night away for themselves

I have invited some that dont have children also....I will show them that there are many that sail that do not have kids :thumbsup2

This is so exciting!!!!!!!   Thanks for posting!!!
I know it isn't H20+ stuff, but Bath and Body has a big sale now so I'm going to hit it up for some goody bag stuff for prizes - they have a Buy 2, Get 2 Aromotherapy sale that I thought would make great "spa-like" prizes. I am getting so excited with all of these great ideas! We've decided to do peel and eat shrimp, chicken strips, and maybe try baked alaska. Two-Foxes suggested playing Match Your Mate (sounds like so much fun!) but I'll have so see who we have showing up to see if we can make that work. I'm so excited!!!

Looking at that list of items, now I REALLY want to go to a party. I've struck out looking for a CA party....so anyone doing an online party??Guess it just isn't in the cards for me.

You all are going to have an awesome time.
