We are going to recreate the Pirates in the Caribbean deck party for our house party. Being that we are a rowdy, unrefined bunch it seems appropriate. pirate:
I am trying to work out having DH rappel off the roof and shooting fireworks from the side of my house (OK, just joking).
I guess I haven't gotten any further then the "Pirate" Theme. Anyone have any ideas?

How about having stuff like Pirate earings and bandanas and eye patches stuff like that for your guests to wear as they come in the door.

And lots and lots of RUM!!!!!!:rotfl:

We got picked too..... DISers on Board......: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Can Us "Yesers" start posting where we live, so that others will know just in case they want to come to one?

Host Family in the Twin Cities of Minnesota here.......

Thanks to the DIS, I was able to check my e-mail and accept, because I had no idea it was even there, since I have not been on the computer for a couple of days. :disrocks:

Being in the IT security profession, its my job to distrust this stuff. I distrust anything written in the body of the email. I would only look at the sender in the actual "from" box and then only at the address. Everything else can be altered to fit the sender's needs. The EBAY phishing scams have all the right headers and "Secure site" footer to them too. Trust only the "From" address and then look at it carefully.

If the "From" is a disney.go.com address, good luck on your entry.

You must be in the same line of work as mine dh...he's so like this. There are times he drives me nuts....:goodvibes

I'm not very computer literate, so maybe someone can help me. All my cruise photos are on photobucket--can someone tell me how to upload these to my houseparty account? I don't know which to use (email, html, img, etc) and then I'm having trouble copying and pasting whichever one is right. Maybe someone can guide me or clue me in?

Thanks

hmmm not sure but if you scroll down to the bottom of your Party page and look for "Contact" you can type a message on there to Tech support or Customer service and they will give you an answer. I had to do that for another question and they got back to me in a short period of time with an answer :thumbsup2

I wrote in my invite to dress like they were in the carribean!!

Hey you! We got picked too! We're so showing pictures from the KK cruise on our Wii. :D I'm so excited!

Have you guys figured out your theme yet?

still deciding. but i know all those dcl signs we have collected over the years will come in handy.:thumbsup2

Tip:

We looked at Oriental Trading and typed searches for "palm tree" and "beach ball" and "bon voyage". Lots of fun decorating ideas popped up.

We're going to take a picture of our guests and announce them as they come in our front door!

I couldn't get mine to upload from photobucket, so I just had to dig out all of my disks and upload from them. Maybe someone who is much smarter than me;) will see your post and can offer some advice. I tried and tried and it just wouldn't work. I did email houseparty with a question about something else, and they responded very quickly.:thumbsup2

I'm not doing a houseparty, but I'm guessing that you'll need the pictures to be on your computer hard drive before you can upload to houseparty. If they are not already on your hard drive, then go to your photobucket and right click on each picture you want, then select 'Save Picture As' and put it into a folder you will remember. Now you can upload to houseparty.

Anyone else having trouble trying to upload photos on the Houseparty site today? I have uploaded over 300 the last several days and when I now click to upload more photos it just keeps going to "login" even though I'm logged in. It says there's no maximum amount of uploads so it's not like I've reached the capacity allowed.

My boys reminded me we can add our past cruise magnets to our front door. They also want to make up a "navigator" of our party itinerary.
