I called DCL about an hour ago and they said that they will be making another announcement tonight at 8PM Eastern about the cruises that are to be departing tomorrow. Has anyone else been told this information? I really need to know something! Our flight is scheduled to leave at 7:30 in the morning.

Here is what they are sayying live from the Magic....Thread
Another Update
Hello Everyone..

"The Weather started getting rough, The Magic Ship was tossed"...OKOK you all know the rest..

Getting a bit Bumpy out here..We are somewhere between Mexico and Florida, and the Seas that were like glass, Well...Have started rocking the ship,...

Got the announcement that we wont be docking until 4:00pm Monday..and that still may change,...

Any other word on the Port Yet?..

How about Castaway Cay?....

Will let everyone know whats going on as soon as we find out..

Bobby

Will keep u updated

I too was told by DCL when I called them about 5:00 p.m. today, that they would be 'making an announcement' at 8 p.m. Can't wait to hear this.

Looks like "IF" they are able to get in to Port Canaveral tomorrow it will be just the Disney Ships.

The Carnival Glory is due in Tuesday
The Carnival Fantasy is due in Tuesday
RCCL Sovereign of the Seas cancelled it's Friday sailing and is out to sea with just crew (so they are not top priority)
RCCL Mariner of the Seasis due in Tuesday

So it looks like one of the Carnival ships will get the Disney dock on Tuesday and one of the Disney ships will get the Carnival (or RCCL) dock tomorrow, IF they can get in.

ok I have 8:16pm est. any announcment yet? Has anyone called yet? Just wondering.

Due to the impact of Hurricane Frances, we have made the following modifications to our itineraries for upcoming sailings:

Disney Magic
The August 28, 7-night Western Caribbean sailing will be extended by two nights, arriving in Port Canaveral on Monday, September 6 at 11 am.

The 7-night Eastern Caribbean sailing, scheduled for September 4, will be shortened two nights, departing on Monday, September 6 at 6 pm from Port Canaveral and arriving back as scheduled on Saturday, September 11. To avoid the effects of Hurricane Frances, we will be sailing a modified Western Caribbean itinerary.

Disney Wonder
The September 2, 3-night Bahamas sailing will be extended one night, returning to Port Canaveral on Monday, September 6 at 6 am. Since it is unlikely that our scheduled calls to Castaway Cay and Nassau will be possible, they will be replaced with a Saturday, September 4 call to Cozumel, Mexico.

The 4-night Bahamas sailing scheduled for September 5 will be delayed and shortened one night, departing on Monday, September 6 at 6 pm from Port Canaveral, arriving back as scheduled on Thursday, September 9. Since it is unlikely that our scheduled calls to Castaway Cay and Nassau will be possible, guests will enjoy two days at sea, a safe distance from the effects of Hurricane Frances.

Guests sailing on these modified itineraries have been contacted or are in the process of being contacted by our reservations staff. Fares for the shortened cruises will be discounted, and guests will be offered special incentives for sailing.

We appreciate all of our guests’ patience as we respond to the unavoidable circumstances created by Hurricane Frances.

I just read that pop up at their site also, it must be an old one though, someone on board the magic said they announced a 4pm arrival tomrow or did I miss read something, i am in a constant state of confusion:tongue:

Nope, same as earlier today. The time displayed is always the current time.

It's not new. Same thing that's been up since Thursday afternoon.

Erin :D

I went to the Disney Cruise site and saw that pop up announcement earlier, but now I don't see any announcement at all (so I think they took that one down).

Maybe they are preparing a new one, or they are not putting up any more information.

We've been speed-dialing for 15 minutes. All we get is a busy when we press 1 for a CM. That tells me they are flooded with calls right now. Whoever gets through better post! :(

Disney Wonder
The four-night Bahamian sailing originally scheduled to depart on September 5th has been cancelled . All guests have the option of a full refund, a four-night Walt Disney World Resort stay, or on a space available basis, sailing on the modified Disney Magic four-night itinerary scheduled for September 7th. All guests scheduled for this cancelled voyage will also receive a discount voucher for a future three-, four- or seven-night cruise.

Guests scheduled to sail on the cancelled September 5th Disney Wonder voyage are in the process of being contacted by our reservations staff or they may contact Disney Cruise Line Reservations
at 800-WDW-CRUISE.

The September 9th three-night cruise to the Bahamas is still set to depart as scheduled from Port Canaveral.

Disney Magic
The seven-night Eastern Caribbean sailing, originally scheduled for September 4th, will be shortened to a four-night cruise and will depart on Tuesday, September 7th at 5 p.m. from Port Canaveral. The ship will arrive back at Port Canaveral as scheduled on Saturday, September, 11th. This voyage will sail to Cozumel, Mexico.

Fares for this shortened cruise will be discounted 50% , and guests will be offered special incentives for sailing.

The September 11th, seven-night Western Caribbean sailing is still set to depart as scheduled from Port Canaveral.

Looks like we made the right decision.

I've been trying to call since 8PM. The line is busy, busy, busy. If anyone gets through, please let us know. Thanks.
