Day by Day vs all at once??

I'm planning our ladies only trip in Oct '06. Probably around 10/21-26. I'm going to need a two bedroom at BWV and since I'm going to try to squeeze in a second trip, I'm hoping to snag a standard 2-bdrm in order to save some points for the second trip. So, how hard is it going to be to do that? I think Food and Wine is going on then, right? So, a lot of us will be there. Will I be better off calling day by day to get that standard view? And if we are arriving on the Oct 21, I figure I should start calling on Nov 22 '05??

Yes - call day by day for a standard view. I always do for standard views and guaranteed Boardwalk views.

Even if it's not absolutely necessary (and I think it is for October, November and December), why risk having to use the waitlist? I like to lock in my lodging and then work on getting the best deal for airfare and ground transportation.

If your first night is October 21, 2006 then yes - your daily calls start at 9 am EST on November 22, 2005. You will not have any problem getting what you want if you call day by day!

I have a standard answer for this question, that is it is not necessary, but with BWV that would be the exception, they made the mistake of having rooms with views with different values. So I would say to be on the safe side go day by day. Carol gave you the wrong date it should be the year 2005 not 2006 but that is obvious typo..The weekend gets in the way sometimes with this situation so you may not have to make a call for everyday anyway.

I don't view it as a mistake, I think it's one of the perks of BWV, especially for owners with the 11 month reservation. Of all the WDW DVC resorts, I think BWV has more distinct views. A view of the boardwalk/lake vs a view of the driveway is a big difference.

I would go day by day, I Read on these boards that the bwv are almost sold out, if not already for the food and wine festival. I tried for a week in november and there was nothing left. good luck

We have not had to go day by day for October dates to get standard view in 2004 and 2005.

Day by day would be the safest way to go. However, I got standard view for Oct 2005 with one call. I even forgot to call for a few days after the 11 month window, but still had no problem.
