Day before package start question

Hello everyone. I have combed the pages (which OMG there are a lot of them on here) and probably missed the answer to my question. After going to Disney all the times we have, this fall we will have a new adventure that we have not had before. We have a bounce back for 14 nights that starts on Labor Day. Ok, no problem here, free dining, love it for us, do it every year. This year though the flights out on that Monday were and have been ridiculously expensive. We got a great nonstop out on Sunday and booked a room at a value resort (for 200 cheaper then our flights are for Monday) We are staying Coronado the rest of the trip. We are going to be upgrading our package tickets to our first Annual Pass. What I thought that I had seen on here previously is that we could maybe do this on our down time on Sunday night before we check into Coronado? Can we get access to our package tickets a day early and then go to guest relations at Hollywood Studios before we meet our parents over on Boardwalk for drinks? I would love to be able to just hit a park Monday morning and not do Guest Services but if we have to that is fine as well. Thanks in advance!

1. Yes.
2. Yes. You can activate your package tickets while AT the Guest Relations outside DHS, then, at the same time, upgrade to AP there.

It never hurts to have extra info (like confirmation numbers) but, if all goes normally, your MagicBand and a photo ID will be fine.

I'm never without a legal photo ID at WDW. It can cut through any problems in case of
trouble with (or loss of) a MagicBand and/or Disney computer issues.
