Daughter got hurt on Peter Pan

Our society is so filled with frivolous lawsuits that people are afraid to say "I'm sorry," because it is admitting liability. Very sad. Accidents happen and it doesn't always mean someone owes you something. Unfortnately, they are probably afraid they will owe you more than an apology so they say nothing at all.

I would suggest you get a reimbursement for your November trip. I really don't think Walt Disney World is the place for you!! :guilty:

I'm about to start the process of cancelling everything starting Wednesday (my first day going back to the office), the most difficult part will be the airline tickets, it's clearly written that there is no refund and/or change of date and/or destination. That's almost $2G right there. :(

My DH got hurt Dec. 14th on the RocknRoller Coaster, he got off and blood was gushing out of his elbow, and it was blue and purple from bruises, we went to the first aid station, but nothing was done except they cleaned it up, put bandages on it, and we went i merry way, never did figure out what happened, except he said he felt something sharp.nana2tots

Use the flight and go somewhere else in the Orlando area if Disney is going to cause you so much misery and canceling would cost 2g's. Just a suggestion....Hope that helps!

I'm really sorry about your daughter. I can't remember a time when any of us have gotten hurt at WDW. Fat Cow- I'm sorry about your experiences. I hope you get that all sorted out. :teleport:

That sounds extra restrictive. You should call the airline, b/c usually you can change for a fee. At least you wouldn't loose all the money. But I think the other posters suggestion of keeping the flights and going somewhere esle in FLA is a good suggestion. You could go to universal, seaworld etc in Orlando, or leave Orlando and go to the east or west coast.

Fat Cat, I agree with another poster, try another area of Florida, Bush Gardens has roller coasters, and animals, Sea World of Course, and Universal, for us it isnt the same, but if you cant afford to eat the $$ for the ticket,

I also agree that Disney is well documented in cases of injury to shut up tight! No matter how serious, (and there have been serious injuries) they do not, like another poster said it is admiting guilt...

not only that have you read that there are people that take advantage of Disney? I believe 60 minutes did a show on drifters that try and claim rape or other injuries knowing that Disney is so large, it must have deep pockets... again, people that take advantage of situations hurt those that are honest...

Geez, what a moron, I didn't think of that. I can still go Universal and Sea World (it's been more than 15 years since the last time I was there) and I still can go to the WDW parks (which I don't really have problems with).

Do they still have backlot tour at Universal Studios?

My 81yo mother had a bad fall at MGM last month. We were walking along a paved path and she tripped on an unever place where two parts of the sidewalk came together. There was quite a difference in the height of the two parts of the sidewalk. She fell on her side, hitting her elbow and her hip.

A CM happened my and we had him get a bandage, which he did. He asked if we needed an ambulance, which we didn't see a need for and told us that if we wanted to go to first aid that was the only way to get there. We didn't go to first aid, but continued our touring. About an hour later my mother's elbow started swelling terribly. We were in the back of the park and we borrowed a wheelchair (why the first guy didn't offer a wheelchair I don't know) and went to first aid where they have her ice and let us use a wheelchair for the rest of the day.

She ended up with a very bad bruise and was in pain for a couple days. We were lucky that she didn't dislocate her hip (she has hip replacements, to make matters worse) or break her elbow.

The nurse in first aid was nice and helpful, but what really needs to happen is for them to fix the sidewalk before it happens to someone else.
