Thanks goodness! As a glasses wearer for the last ten years, I'm sorry I didn't think to ask you if you have had your eyes checked recently! I have experienced headaches in the past if it has been awhile since my prescription has been updated. It must have slipped my mind since it hasn't happened in a few years... anyway, glad everything is okay!

I've been a glasses/contacts wearer for most of my life... you'll get used to it Depending on how often you need to wear them you might want to look into contacts, I find them a million times better than my glasses. But for starting off you might want to stick with glasses for a little while! Welcome to the 4 eyes club

I can't believe our big days are so close! I've barely been on here lately because I spend EVRY waking minute working on wedding stuff. I got on to check up on people and it's funny to see that those of us coming so quick have dwindled posts LOL. Busy busy! I'm caught up on a lot of stuff though so I'm going to try to be more regular again!

This past Sunday, September 25th, 2011 was my wonderful bridal shower in New Hampshire! (Hosted by my other lovely Maid of Honor, Kaitlin)! We had a beautiful warm and sunny day surrounded by lots of our family members and friends. This party had a subtle Lady and the Tramp theme, which was fun.

I just have to share how awesome this second picture is...This is us with Chris' grandfather. He is the last grandparent that Chris has and he absolutely adores him. He isn't physically well and cannot travel far, so he isn't able to make it to our wedding. Luckily, he was able to travel out for the shower and we spent a great hour with him (and my parents got to meet him for the first time, too.) Well, he had gotten up and started telling us that he loved us and how he is really upset that he is going to miss the wedding. (This is where we all started to cry) He then shared about how special it is that we are getting married on 11/11, because that is the day he had gotten married (way back in 1955!) Then he pulled out a laminated photo of he and his wife on their wedding day (which is what we are looking at in the picture).

It was another perfect shower and I am so blessed to have all these wonderful friends in my life. At the end of the shower, I told everyone, "Just 44 days until we're all in Disney!" and no one could believe it!

So, just another quick post to share what I've been up to. I swear I haven't forgotten (mainly for Sarah!) to post pictures of what I've been up to, it's just I'm running out of time!

-Marriage license application notarized and sent.
-We finally got an email from our DJ, Steve.
-So, we've been filling out the music 'must plays', announcement orders, etc.
-Our response cards are due back this Saturday (October 1st) but I'm pretty sure we've gotten all the 'yeses' we're gonna get. We're currently at a solid 80 person guest list! (We thought only about 50 would show.) I'd be content if no one else responded between now and Saturday.
-I alphabetized guests, numbered tables, and finished the seating chart. Chris is going to laminate them and attach stands on the back, so they should be travel-friendly.
-We caved and bought the 'Just Married' buttons from eBay...I couldn't risk not having them!
-All the bridal party members are just now starting to get on board with the wedding process and they're actually prepping for the trip. (They finally bought their accessories, started to get outfits fitted, called and added on Magical Express...) I'm so happy and relieved!
-Chris' parents are throwing the rehearsal brunch at the Whitehall Room and have chosen the Mexican / Taco menu I dunno WHY anyone would wanna eat tacos early in the morning (I'd prefer Mickey waffles), but I'm grateful they figured out a plan and are hosting.

...And of course, I plan extensive posts in my head, but then when I actually get on here to post...pffft.

I promise to get around to a better one sooooon!

Ps. I can do online check-in in 30 days!!!

How come I'm getting married a day before you and you already heard back from your DJ? Love that Disney consistency!

And we planned for 55 guests and are having 64 show up so I know how you feel. Not as much more as yours but still! At this point my parents have said to hell with the budget!
