Danielle & Chris: 11-11-11 WP/ADH/DP Wedding PJ/TR - Complete *(1 Year Anniversary)

Danielle sweetie, I'm so sorry you've been feeling like this! I will definitely keep you in my thoughts/prayers/etc. :grouphug: Is there any way you could do a... relaxation day? Maybe at a spa, or even a sort of DIY spa at home where you spend time away from thinking about the wedding/looking at your phone (my phone causes me so much more stress than it's worth!)/being online (again... stressful!). If no spa, maybe even just a day window shopping by yourself... that helps me too.

:hug:Feel better! <3

Ok, so, I feel really bad about doing this, but I have to throw a little rant out here...

-------------------------

If I feel like this now, I can only imagine what I'll feel like on our wedding day. :sad2: Can I get meds for this?

Ranting does make you feel better--and it makes us realize that we're not the only ones with problems

Trust me, you only have to say the word "wedding" to a doctor and he will get his little pad out and start writing. It does work, especially when you have that vomit and heart attack feeling. How does one like me know?? Oh yeah, had that this morning, reached in my purse--corrected this situation--I'm great now--I can take a full breath and everything!! I know it doesn't sound like the ideal fix, but sleep and sanity are important right now--and apparently it's completely normal :yay:

I want you to feel better. There's still lots to be done and you need to be at your best!! I would go get a pedicure and take headphones so they don't try to talk to you... then get some delicious take out and relax. If you need anything... don't hesitate to find me :)

Awww Twinny!!! :hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

I am starting to feel the anxiety too... I am still working on my invitations and I am starting to worry about the 160+ people on the guest list and hoping that they don't all RSVP... :headache: Is that bad??

You are not alone!!!

Breathe in, Breathe out, Repeat my friend :hippie:. Grab a green apple (stomach soother), plunk your butt infront of the tv and watch something completely mindless (might I suggest "bachelor pad"?). Everything will come together for your big day, and even for your mini-big-days like your showers. Watch some Karate Kid if it helps, wax on, wax off. Plus there's always Rescue Remedy if you need it, lol.

Eventually your mom will realize that yelling at you to stop worrying only makes the problem harder to stop worrying about and she'll back off. Give her a job to do to entertain her, like braiding daisys or something time consuming like that.

Take a "me" day, :grouphug: know there's big hugs from a lot of us girls on here heading your way and remember weddings are "fun" right?? :rotfl:

 Don't worry, I think it's somewhat normal! I'm feeling it too, but then again I'm always a worry wart about everything. Part of me is like, "I just want to have the wedding right now so it can be done with!" and the other part says "Give me another 5 months so I can make sure everything gets done!" The only advice I can really give you is to try and focus on just being married, as opposed to the wedding. And the honeymoon :goodvibes And remember that you're not alone - we are always here to listen to you vent!

 I hear ya! I've been having dreams related to the wedding and I wake up feeling panicky. I agree with doing something mindless and definitely talk to your doctor if it persists even after venting to all of us :goodvibes

I second doing something mindless! *hugs*

I just wanted to write back and say: YOU ALL ARE AMAZING. Coming back to my PJ and seeing all the love and support and remedies were such a nice (and calming!) thing to see. :) I really cannot express how much I appreciate it. Luckily, I woke up feeling pretty relaxed! :thumbsup2 After I wrote my installment yesterday, I ended up seeing my MOH and her Mom (my 2nd mom!) and we just had a blast. I love having friendships like that...no matter how long you are apart, once you are back together, nothing feels different. She tried on her bridesmaid dress and it fit and she loved it!!! I thought her mom was going to cry. I caught them up on the latest wedding plans, which actually got me excited again. Then at dinner time, I went to my nextdoor neighbor's house to wish my friend well as she leaves for her first year at college! I sat down with their whole family and talked more about plans, and it felt good to let it out. Then they graciously gave me our first wedding gift! :woohoo: Presents!!!
So, that's where I am now. I think I either need to talk to someone more often or definitely get medication in the near future, though. Hopefully I can use this mind-over-matter mentality for a while though.

Thank you all, again!!! :grouphug:

Glad you had a good time and hopefully some stress relief! I know what you mean about talking it out, I don't get to see or talk to my friends all that often and it always feels really good when we get to talk. But coming on the DIS boards or talking to my DIS friends on facebook really helps too!

I understand how you feel- I just about had a full-on panic attack the other day. I wish I had some magical cure that I could pass on to you, but I don't. Maybe LuvLuvLuv's suggestion will work, lol. In the meantime, all I can say is that after all the stress, money, headaches... you will be married to the love of your life. And, no more Wedding worries! In 3 months the biggest commitment you'll have is to pick out what pictures you like best for your Wedding Album. And they joy of being newlyweds!

Here's a hug, I hope it helps even just a smidgen

Serenity now.....

Thanks for more good vibes, ladies! It's greatly appreciated.

I gave in and went to the doctor's today and I feel a lot better already! I think just talking to the doctor about everything really helped. He agrees and thinks a lot of my symptoms are stress/anxiety related, so he gave me meds for anti-nausea and anxiety, as needed. :woohoo: However, since I haven't had a checkup in quite some time and some of my symptoms aren't completely normal...the doctor requested I get blood work and and MRI of the brain done. :sad2: I guess I'm glad this is happening now though...I just wanna be ok! I'll be sure to keep you all posted--I'll be getting this stuff done early next week.

Danielle,

I have been catching up on your pj. Everything looks fabulous! Your engagement pictures are spectacular!

Well, Sunday, August 21st, 2011 was my wonderful bridal shower in Pennsylvania! (Hosted by one of my lovely Maid of Honors, Melanie). :goodvibes We almost didn't think it was going to happen because we had one of those torrential summer downpours, but luckily the sun came through for the few hours that we had the shower! :cool1: I cannot believe how much hard work she put into the decor. She really did her research and it was all AMAZING. There were tables that honored a couple of my favorite Disney movies (Mulan, 101 Dalmatians) and a couple of Chris' (Jungle Book, Robin Hood). We also did some Disney-themed food recipes inspired by some dishes down at the parks. It was a really small and intimate gathering, but loads of fun. Here's some pictures!:
