I just returned from my Reservationsysytem.com trip to the world and had a good time but not as magical as I usually do. Matter of fact, I don't have my usual Disney letdown feeling.
Let me start out at checkin, got to the ASMovies around 1pm and had the usual lines not a problem till I got to the desk. I had purchased tickets through the above mentioned co. and they were to be delievered to the hotel. CM states, "hold on a sec, we have a package in the back for you" returns about 10 mins and says that he was wrong and that there is nothing! I tell him that my PH tickets should be there and what is this about a package?? Its my tickets... tells me that he will investigate and call me in room as soon as he finds tickets. gonna call Co. and find out where they are. Check into Dalmation room, very cute view of Pongo and Perdie! Go to Food Court get mugs, do some swimming and back to room to see if there is a message??? Nothing, three hours later and there is no message get kids and drag then back to Front desk Dont wait in really long line this time just slip up to desk. Tell another person what the problem is and waiting to hear from other CM who is no longer there. They look again nothing!!! Panick hits! leave line and call Reservationsystems speak to man who made res. and he says that tickets are there. Tell them to look in safe for red Envelope. Go back to desk and what do you know, red envelope in safe with my name on it!!! Although I had told them several times to check the safe, they never did, a package was noted on my reservation and later denied that there was one, stated it was a computer error. There was no appology for my panick attack or there lack of contacting anyone. Very sad start to my vacation.
Ok but im in Disney, got my tickets and all is well. Tickets were suppose to be PH and when i checked, they had plusses, either PI or DQ.... yes, never been to Disney Quest!! Off to FW to check out trails end and the camp fire... Fun! Next day, went to the parks.
The reason for my title of trip report is all the undisney like behaviors that I encounter during my trip. Lets start with the German man. Im in MK and it starts to rain, no not rain, the skys opened up and dumped a zillion gallons of water on us. The fire works had just ended and we are trying to leave Fantasyland and cut through the castle to get to main st. everyone was watching the fireworks from inside the castle, but they are over, so I make a mad dash for castle and encounter the German family! "May I please go through, trying to get to main st." No response from teenage girl she just stares me down, me and my three kids, two who are in strollers. Again, "May I please go through, i just want to go through the Castle to get to other side" They build a German wall in front of me??? Now, ponchos no ponchos, we are soaked....Now out comes the Bronx in me, " are you telling me that you will not let me go through?? The German man states, " you may pass through but you will not stop!" But the fireworks are over?? They move there wall and let me pass. First negative encounter. Second one came at food court. Speaking to lovely women, waiting in line for soda fountains. Teenage girl almost nocks down woman to get in front of her. Second time i said, very undisneylike behavior! Third came when I was in parking lot of movies. Got out of van and have DD3 in arms sleeping, DS3 and other DD11 are next to me walking toward hotel. Man and women come flying through parking lot doing way over speed limit and almost hit us. I scream out and they stop. Man starts to verbally assault me and tells me that Im crazy! Continues on and some where in assault and cursing, he tells me that he should get out of car and B%&** slap me. Remember I have my DD in my arms screaming to my kids that there mother is crazy and that I should go back to my trailer and the welfare line. I tell them to have a nice day and walk away shaking!!! Call my dh and start to cry! I have had enough of Disney by this point. Should have got plate number but was too frightened and upset!
All in all, I had a very sad trip. I always look forward to having fun and meeting nice people! People were just rude and belligerant! The positives, my DD got to meet Cinderella and my DS got to ride splash and BTM. Won't go again without DH even if he can never get off of work again. I have been to the world over 30 times and things have changed and Im not happy! I hope all of you have a better experience! Happy travels, Eileen

Sorry to hear about the negatives. My wife focuses on the negatives alot, and I have to remind her about the good things, so remember the good times you had and forget the rude people.

How about you post some of the good things that happened you touched on it, but we want to hear more positives!

You know it seemed that for about a year after 9/11 people were so much nicer to each other but as time passes and the memories begin to fade a bit people seem to go back to their nasty ways.... What a shame.........

Ok here are some of the positive things. Wanted to do some different things on this trip. Went to Beaches n Cream and had the kitchen sink........... Yikes didnt come close to finishing it. Went to DQ, was interesting but very crowded. Not too much for little ones to do. DD11 had fun! Got some nice stuff at Belzs. Ate at the sci fi drive in twice.. Loved the shrimp penne pasta......... yummmy! Oh yes, brought my watch back to Main st. watch store to see if they could fix it and they gave me a brand new one!!!

I returned from the world on 9/10 of same year and we had a wonderful trip. Just seems that I encountered a cranky bunch, No disers on this trip although I did meet some nice people from Jersey!

Sometimes you don't even realize you have stress until little things happen. You took on a lot of responsibility taking your kids to WDW by yourself. I would of been crying too!

You need a vacation from your vacation.

Ohmari, I was crying because the man in the parking lot This is a family resort and he was nothing family.

I am also sorry to hear about your encounters with rude guests. I had more than my share on my recent trip. I am not used to that type of behavior as I am not that way. I had stated to a CM in the Animal Kingdom that I had never encountered such rudeness from the guests at WDW. She was really sweet and told me not to let them ruin my vacation. I hope the majority of your trip was good. I know it is hard, but try not to let the few rude ones get to you.

I think the heat and the heavy crowds brings out the worst in some people. Also there are a lot of people at WDW who don't understand enough english. A lot of what we consider rudeness in our society is a way of life with others. Try taking your next trip off season. It will be cheaper, nicer weather and smaller crowds. The staff won't be so overloaded either. The magic is there for the taking, you just have to go at a time when it isn't so hard to find. My husband absolutely is miserable in big crowds and hot weather and it is easy to understand why. I am much more easy going and have a good time no matter how bad the circumstances but I would never go there in the summertime again now that I have experienced off-season.
