Dancing With the Stars - Fall 2025

I thought Scott was going to be going home last week. I didn't have a problem with his dedication or talking about his marriage and them announcing they are having a baby, and that he wrote a song for his husband. But, unfortunately, there is about half the country who have a problem with all that and would want him gone from the show, so they wouldn't have to watch all that. This week's votes combined with last week may be what gave him the boot.

I did. He doesn’t have the voting powers behind him that the others do. I thought it would be a double elimination with him and Elaine. I think she will be next.

I thought it was going to be a double elimination too.

And Elaine does seem to be having problems of some kind, along with injuring herself. So, she may be next to go.

From Whitney’s reaction when they were declared safe I think she knows a lot of people are annoyed by her.

I almost want to give Jen votes also just to see if she can beat Whitney.

But aren’t those the ones boycotting Disney for being “too woke”?

But, the show is pushing for her to win.

I would say Jen may go if Elaine doesn't go. She always has a victim story. But, she probably gets Mormon votes as, the ones who vote for Whitney throw votes her way too.

Yeah, but they traditionally show up for the show to vote against them. :ssst: When Bristol Palin was a contestant, she made it to the Finals, due to all of them showing up just to vote for her. Even though Brandi was a much better dancer than her and should have been in the Finals in her place.

The producers had to change voting for the Finals, giving the 3 judges an extra vote. The then host, Tom Bergeron had a chart :teacher: to show us the math (that never made sense to me,) as to why the JUDGES will actually pick the winner and keep this a dancing show and not a political one.

BTW, the judges gave Bristol such low scores for all her dances during the Finals. She rightfully came in third.

Okay gang I need everyone to circle their calendars for November 11th…there will be a history lesson please attend accordingly

I watched on Hulu this morning and I loved it! I've seen the musical and the movie twice each and I love the music. Some of the arrangements were not great. Popular was way too fast! I loved Robert Irwin's book choreography.

Apparently Brandon, Britt and Jenna are mad about the partners they were given and threatening to leave.

I could see Jenna being angry, since Corey was such a dud and didn’t even attend practice at the beginning but the the other two had solid partners.

Yeah, I only see Jenna having a legitimate complaint.

If Baron, the basketball player, had more time on the show, he possibly could have been a contender. Lauren, is really sweet and graceful. Although, I don't see her making it to the Finals. But, definitely farther than she did.

Maybe, all three of them should have a Zoom session with Tony Dovolani, who, back in the day was told by the producers some stars are contenders, while others are only contestants. And some pros, (Derek & Mark, :ssst: ) get the contenders, while the others get contestants. And Tony was told he gets the contestants.

That is, until they had the All-Stars competition season, with all former winners of DWTS as contestants, and everyone had a contender. And then Tony WON the All-Stars 🎉 :jumping1: 🎊 and proved he should have been given a contender all along.

Same for Maks. He never got a contender for YEARS. Then he was partnered with Kirstie Alley - A-Lister Kirstie Alley, who wasn't expected to be a contender. Yet, who proved, even as a "fat girl," as she called herself, she could dance, or she'd die trying. She loved having Maks as her trainer. And they almost won. Then finally, he was given Olympic ice dancer, Meryl Davis and he finally won. He cried when he won. :sad1: He always knew he could win if he had a chance to work with a contender.

Both Maks and Tony showed how just UNFAIR the casting/partnering for the show, behind the scenes, really is.

I think Cheryl Burke went through the same thing. She even won a couple times. Even though her choreography is equivalent to Derek's, she ended up being put on the back burner and no longer given any contenders. It was why she left, came back for a little bit, and left again. It will be good to see her next week.

So, so true.

When Kirstie died the first person I thought of was Maks. They had such a cool partnership. He respected her so much which doesn’t happen often with Maks.

Yep.

I feel for her. She lost her gig on DWTS and broke up with her husband around the same time.

Ew. I just saw a video on instagram someone posted of Mormon Whitney doing a TikTok dance video while her baby was in the icu with rsv. If my baby was in the hospital for any reason, the last thing I would have been doing would be making a dance video. What’s her deal?
