Dancing around the world~One pole at a time~~~Return of the prodigal trip reporter...

Cute dog!

I thought I would love AK, but it was just so crowded the day we went that I didn't enjoy it much at all. :sad2:

what a sweet puppy! congrats on the new member to your family. you know how i feel about doggies. :goodvibes i'm sure cassie is very happy to have found you guys!

Well, our new little puppy is as sweet as can be but to counter act that Tahloula has become a PITA!!!:headache:
She will not go outside , she is nippy and whinning and this afternoon peed on my bed....it looked like someone spilled a gallon of water.

I guess she's been holding it in for 2 days just to let us know how unhappy she is. She is worse than any of my kids were when another child was born.

oh too bad Tulaluah (sp?) is being a PITA, hopefully that doesn't last long! by chance is she/he a dachsund? my dad's dog is a dach and he was very jealous too even of dad's girlfriends.. weird dogs.

yes, she's a dachsund, we have 2 miniatures...I love them dearly but man they're stubborn.

We both wanted to check out flights of wonder. We had seen it on our first trip but never fit it in with the kids...that's on our to do for next time.

On our way to FOW we saw a couple of these in the bushes

It's blurry, but the stupid thing wouldn't hold still and pose for a picture. I thought it was really pretty.

We were soon seated to watch the show. I think it's a lot of fun, but for those *cough*Dawn*cough with a birdaphobia, it's best not to partake. Low flying birds might send you into a nervous breakdown.

Next we headed for flame tree bbq for lunch and we ran into Rosie! We sat and chatted while we ate, talked about our plans for the rest of the day and then headed different directions.

The one souvineer I really wanted was a hand crafted bowl or serving dish from Africa.....ummm, I don't think these will work.

I had to stop to visit Bailie's favorite character....and I took a pic on my phone and texted it to her....I know, I'm a mean mom.

2009-04-27068.jpg

We were both still feeling a little "off" around 1 so we decided to hike one of the trails and then head to POP for a break before dinner.
As we started along the path, I realized I hadn't accomplished mission pole dance......there was a brief break between groups.....so here it is pole dancing animal kingdom style....

2009-04-27071.jpg

Right as D.jay snapped the pic but before I could untangle myself 3 men walked around the corner. I tried to non-chalantly unwrap my leg and examine the tree like it was the most interesting tree EVER....maybe they thought I was just a tree hugger.:thumbsup2

we did get a... yes, 1 picture from the trail of wild life...

2009-04-27072.jpg

We rested for a while at POP and by the time we needed to head for our ADR at Les Chefs, it was pouring outside. I was getting soaked, D.Jay saved me and got me an umbrella from the gift shop.:goodvibes

The only people we saw in WS were those waiting to be seated at restraunts. I was excited to try Les Chefs for the first time...the creme brulee was calling my name....and since my name roughly translates to "my love" in french, I thought it quite appropriate.

D.jay check us in and I got all excited because the cm said my very french name , with her french accent, and it sounded cool.:rotfl2: I know, I really should get out more.

Sadly....I got excited when the waiter called our names to go in.

I was named after my aunt Lila Cherie...there is a little "thingy" above the first e..it's in my siggy, but my keyboard won't do it...anyway, no one knows where my grandma got the name and spelling from and by the time I thought to ask, it was too late.
There isn't an ounce of french blood in the family, so it's something we've all wondered about. My grandma had been raised in a small town in Idaho so it's an odd name for her to have come up with in the 40's...

It was packed in the restraunt...similar to sardines. The tables were so close that had I wanted another baget, I could have reached over to the next table without stretching. It was also noisy in there, and it didn't help that they sang happy birthday to every tom, dick and harry. It was cute the first 10 times.
We also had the luck of sitting near a man and his little girl while the dad shamelessly flirted with the waitress , it was obvious she was annoyed but he didn't seem to get the hint. He spent the entire time looking like an idiot , totally ignoring his daughter.

We both decided to go with the set menu...

We tried the french onion soup...it was good but I didn't care for the soggy bread.

I ordered salmon and ratatouie...

2009-04-27074.jpg

Salmon was great and the other was ok, different but I'm glad i tried it.

D.Jay's plate..
2009-04-27075.jpg

half a chicken with potato's.....d.jay LOVED the potatos and said the chicken was ok.

d.jay's dessert was ice cream in a cream puff with chocolate sauce...
2009-04-27076.jpg

and I had the best creme brulee ever....

2009-04-27077.jpg

After dinner we headed back to POP and met up with Rosie at petals, but it was getting cold so it wasn't long before we headed to bed.
I can't say enough how much fun I had with Rosie! She is a hoot!

up next......do you REALLY want to get in a taxi with ME?

What disgusting manners that daughter-ignoring pig had. :sad2: Some people! Especially after she made it pretty clear she didn't want him to flirt with her. Blecho!!

I agree, the brulee looked supreme!! Mmmm!!

I was cracking up about the men who wandered around the corner just in time. :lmao: Oh the things going through their minds. :rotfl2:

Hats were fun, as usual. I'm going with that theme too.

You look like you're getting a little too comfortable on the pole.......:rotfl2:

The best pole pic yet.:rotfl2:

One of these times, she's really gonna get stuck!

Let's see they have to flag lowering ceremony at MK

The tiki lighting ceremony at the Poly.

Maybe they'll institute a Cherie "unsticking" at EPCOT!?? :lmao:

You should have just embraced it when the guys came around the corner...

"Hey boys... Got any dollar bills??"
:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I hate to imagine what they must have thought!
the hats are fun, esp. the ones you can't believe someone would actually wear

Great Update Cherie , sorry my keyboard doesn't have the little thingie to go over the E either !!:lmao:

I have had Chef's Creme Brulee and it is AWESOME!!!

Great Pole Dance !! Wish I had thought of it BUT I woulda had no one to take a pix !! :lmao: I coullda asked the man coming round the corner :rotfl2:

You should have kept pole dancing when the men came you might have got a few dollars for the show:rotfl2:

I think you are really making me want to go to Disney World without my kids, just Faron and I.

i'm glad ray has no interest in seeing this show because otherwise he'd be a very disappointed boy. either that or i'd have to go see festival of the lion king or something while he sat there with the evil birds.

he looks like he's getting ready to take a big chunk out of her forehead.

Right as D.jay snapped the pic but before I could untangle myself 3 men walked around the corner. I tried to non-chalantly unwrap my leg and examine the tree like it was the most interesting tree EVER....maybe they thought I was just a tree hugger.:thumbsup2

:lmao: i can just see you trying to play this off. i have a "tree hugger" t-shirt you could have borrowed.

glad you enjoyed les chefs. when erica and i ate there in 2008 i got the french version of mac and cheese and it was SO GOOD! i could eat it for breakfast right now.

How sweet of you to give that adorable lil dog a home:lovestruc:cloud9::hug: You guys are truly wonderful:love::love:

In all our trips to AK we have never seen the FOW show!!!:confused3 We will have to put it on our must see for next time!!!!

YAY the taxi story I have been waiting for this....popcorn::popcorn::

Did you find your serving bowl?

Love the pole tree dance and can only imagine the untangling and explanation.

:rotfl2:

You are a mean mean mom texting Bailie with that picture of Stitch.

Mnnn dinner looks yummy. I LOVE creme brulee and profiteroles (looks like what d.jay had) which is funny as I'm not really much of a dessert person but honestly, creme brulee has made me consider getting my own blow torch.

:scared1: for the dad ignoring his daughter, that's just icky and embarrassing to watch. Poor little girl. I do have a hard time truly relaxing and enjoying myself when restaurants are that crowded and noisy....though it is very french bistro-ish if nothing else.

 that you got such a kick out of hearing your name with a french accent.

That's so nice d.jay got you an umbrella....almost as good as a serving bowl and equally as practical. In the moment I'm sure, far more so.

I think it is so sweet that your DH bought you an Unbrella!!:cloud9:

the dessarts look YUMMY:banana:

And Love the Jungle style Pole dancing!!!:rotfl:
