Dance Moms - anyone still watching?

I thought Melissa's fiancé was still married at the time and that's why she was so weird about it. I know on the show she claimed the attorney letter that the other moms got was from His attorney not from her.

I believe he was still married, they were engaged and she had legally changed her last name to his already!

Something ridiculous like that. His ex wife needs to hang him out to dry!

Yeah. And his biggest problem was whether someone mentioned it on TV!:rotfl: What a mess!

Sadly, I think Melissa is my second favorite (or maybe it would be more appropriate to say third least favorite?). Holly is my favorite, no doubt. She is classy and ladylike. She puts her daughter first, but is able to do so without putting down any of the other girls, cussing, or yelling. She also always seems to be looking out for the girls. She was the one who made she all of the girls got out of the room when everything between Kelly and Abby went down. I have no doubt that Nia will grow to be a beautiful young woman who is confident in herself.

Christi is my least favorite, mostly for the reasons I already brought up. Also, I have heard her speak badly about Maddie more than any of the other mothers. We can argue about whether or not we like Maddie, but she is still a 9 year old child. No mother should speak badly of another 9 year old. I also really dislike how she always says that Melissa slept with her married boss. I don't know if she has or if she hasn't, but it is clearly something that deeply angers Melissa, that she vehemently denies, and that has no business being brought up in the first place. I just think Christi carries herself in the least ladylike manner of the other moms. Can't deny that she loves her daughter, though, and is trying to raise her the best way she knows how.

That leaves Melissa and Jill. Personally, I wouldn't want my daughter raised by either, but I think I like Melissa more just because she doesn't complain about how Abby treats her daughter and then continue to bring her back each day. I don't know. Really, Holly is the only one I'm not face palming throughout the episode.

I agree with you about Christie to an extent but I think in some ways Melissa is even worse. She never sticks up for McKenzie now matter how much Abby puts her down. And she constantly agrees with Abby comparing McKenzie to Maddie with is wrong in of itself. She needs to grow a backbone and defend her child.

This. When Abby said Maddie was a breath of fresh air and Mackenzie was like bathroom spray, I wanted to slap Abby.

Christi doesn't bother me that much. She's playing the part of the stereotypical dance mom that they want portrayed on the show. And her comments are frequently funny, which is probably why we see so many of her interviews. Melissa on the other hand drives me insane. She just comes off as so fake. I don't get the impression that she's playing a part for the show like I do with Christi and Jill. It's like she's deliberately trying to not show any personality or truth about herself and it just doesn't come off well. Even her live tweeting never actually includes any facts or commentary, it's all fakeness and fluff. I could be wrong, maybe she's a fabulous actress and that's what they want.

I thought it was in poor taste to put Kelly on the pyramid when that episode was the same week that Abby went to court to get a no contact order against Kelly. I know it's still a faked "reality" show, but rise above. Open your damn mouth and say you won't trash a woman on TV while you've got a court case against her.

I agree that Christi is playing a part. I also think she really does want out, but can't thanks to the contract. I don't think any mom would want to put her daughter through what Chloe gets put through. I'm sure it angers Abby more that Chloe seems much more popular (with viewers) than Maddie is. I can see how Chloe's treatment would anger Christi.

I think Christi's true colors showed when she encouraged Mackenzie. I know that some of it is editing, but that entire Maddie vs. Mackenzie episode really bothered me. You do NOT want to breed that much competition between sisters or give the impression that one will never be "as good as" her sister. That's just bad on so many levels. And there is NO way that I would let my daughters be treated that way. Melissa just seems to stand by and do nothing. I don't know if it's editing or what. But wow.

If you think about it, Melissa has no practice at defending her child. What has there been to defend Maddie against? But regardless, I think it's awful the way Abby is pitting the 2 sisters against each other.

Didn't the whole thing come up because they wanted to throw a wedding shower or something?

I think that might have been it. Or maybe something about trying on wedding dresses? I do seem to remember that part.

I just watched the pyramid when Abby announced Brooke and Paige were gone. Everyone else cringed and gasped. Christie gave a sour look like Yeah. Just another day at ALDC. Melissa smiled.

I'm just glad we haven't heard any more about Mackenzie's singing career anymore, I can't take it!!!!:happytv:

Did u watch Tuesday night? I thought the preview for next week was showing girls auditioning to dance background on something for Mackenzie. She was sitting at the table with Abby. Might be wrong........

Oh nooooo, just when I thought it was safe.......................:rolleyes2

Mackenzie? I thought she went by Mack Z now. :rolleyes2

Was anyone else hoping she wouldn't pick Maddie for her video?

OMG I know... I was dying watching last night!!! :lmao:At least she just lip synched and didn't sing. :rotfl2: I was hoping she wouldn't pick her, Maddie looked ticked off when she was "thinking" about it too. :lmao:

My thoughts on the last episode: Nia's routine was cute and spunky, and I think number suited her perfectly; Kendall is growing as a dancer, or I just never realized how good she's become; Chloe and Kilani danced beautifully together, and the Bollywood and Vine routine was fabulous.

Did they all excel because Abby wasn't there? Just a thought....:scratchin

I've noticed the group routines in particular have stepped it up the past few weeks. That's made me wonder about a few things which I don't want to put out there because I know this is all taking place within the backdrop of the producers building their legal defense.

My wish (completely unrealistic) is that Lifetime seize control of the show & boot the producers. I have no idea what Abby Lee Miller may or may not be like left to her own devices, but the producers and their tactics leave a very bad taste in my mouth.

I guess I still want to know how the heck they won 2 weeks ago when they couldn't hear the music? From the parts that they showed it looked like Candy Apples was a lot better that week.

I thought all the routines were good this week. Nia was cute in her solo. I'm totally wondering the real reason she was pulled from the group number.

Doesn't Christy just makes the most awful unflattering faces? It hurts me to look at her sometimes!

She does, but I also think the producers go out of their way to include those shots, where they probably edit them out for others.
