Dallas Airport Layover Question

I am trying to get my airfare arranged for a trip to Hawaii in October. One of the best options that I am seeing only allows for a 52 minute layover in Dallas. I usually try to have at least 90 minutes for a layover, but I am curious to know others' thoughts on such a short layover. We would be flying in from Peoria IL, so my expectation is that we would definitely have to change gate. Does 52 minutes seem like a long enough layover???

I assume you're talking about DFW and not DAL? At DFW, you can get from any gate to any other gate in about 12 minutes.
