Dairy Farmers Wife IS going to Disney in March/April!

Well I just watched most of Fantasmic on Youtube. Definitely a no for us right now. First off, I didn't see it as very impressive, but it is hard to get that feeling from Youtube. But the main reason is, it is extremely scary. There is no way Claire will sit through that long of a scary scene. So it looks like we'll have to wait a few more years till she's out of the scared phase.

That is something I'm concerned with. Kadence (6 yrs) is a fraidy cat, and I do have the fantsmuc pkg booked for our trip. Maybe she can hide as she climbs up my backside:lmao: She says that the snow white ride and peterpan were scary and she won't go back on them. I may have to think about this.

We had great service at Via Napoli last month! The pizza was yummy too! Not the best we've had - but then again we live in NYC - good pizza is EVERYWHERE! But it was good!!

I thought it was just kinda meh. It had a ton of the projections on the water sprays and it just got old and boring to me. It was very scary too - I think ever single villan is in that show! We did it once, and we probably won't go back for a really long time - or ever.

The boat at the end with all the characters is very cool though!

Yes, Claire even mentioned the other day about how scary the snow white ride is.
And last trip she wouldn't go on Huanted Mansion, even though she has rode it twice in the past. So for now, we'll have to skip it. But we'll have plenty to do anyways.

Haha it is not for everyone. For example I would NOT stand in the stand by line for it. But I have no problem using two meal credits to get the priority seating (we are going deluxe so we can use the credits for CRT, HDDR and CP, it was only an extra $120 pp thanks to the free dining), I think we also get a reserved spot for Illuminations, but we probably won't stay for that. One of my friends didn't enjoy it, one loved it.

We love HDDR. It is corny, but it's great all the same. I have even looked over my schedule to see if we could perhaps fit it in and pay OOP. But I don'tthink it will wor for us this trip...and we have seen it twice, so I think we can miss it this time around.

Good to hear about the service. I have read on a thread where they said they won't allow substitutions on pizzas, and people were mad about that. But then someon poasted that it was only for the soft opening. Not sure, but I'm sure we'll be OK.

I thought the boat with characters looked really cool too. But I think the villians will just scare the pants off of her. And since it would be one of the last things of the nigt to do, I don't want her having nightmares. LOL!

Day 6~ Dec 13
This is a Monday...for those who have lost track....

MK has EMH in the evening this day....open till 11. WE LOVE EMH evening hours at MK. We love the feel of staying at the park late, and we usually can ride more rides at this time. But being that the park is only open till 11, it will still be somewhat busy.
In the past we have done 3 EMH evenings, one with the park being open till 2 AM. That was the best, because around 11 or so the park really emptied out. The other was till Midnight (or was it 1) but it will still great. Last trip, I believe it closed at 11 and we could tell the difference. Alot of people are willing to stay till 11, but not much later, so things were busier.
I am hoping since this time around it will be Value season, it will still be pretty decent.

The plan is to sleep in...again... I know, we are boring that way. I won't of course, but Claire will need it after the long day at Epcot. MK will most likely also be busier in the day, so we'll just take our time getting there.
This day also MAY work out for the tea party if needed.
We have a ADR for Whispering Canyon at 5:10. The bad thing about this is that the new parade (the electric one, which I can't remember the full name right now) starts at 7. So if we want to see it, we may be arriving back at MK at the same time it's starting. I am mixed on whether to see it or not. I have watched it on youtube, and the music is just awful. It almost gives me a headache. But then at the same time, I kind of want to see it for the experience. If we don't do the tea party that day, I may change my ADR to something earlier and then catch the parade.
My plan is to stay as late as we can. And try to ride all the stuff we want to. This will be the last day at MK for the trip. So I want to savor it as much as possible! :cloud9:

I LOVE the MSEP music! :lmao: but if aint your cup of tea, skip it for the sake of everything else and not having to rush.

Plans sound good so far Jen :thumbsup2

Cape May Dinner is good we just ate there in September , lots of buffet choices , the crab legs were just so so(The problem was when you cracked them the meat was not just sliding out in one piece like it should, it was breaking all up and becoming stringy) again the reason I booked the dinner was for myself and the seafood just like you lol

Finding Nemo The Musical is great , we do it almost every year the kids love it and the music is soo catchy ,in fact I almost bought the soundtrack this trip !

Via NaPoli , the food was yummy but I have to agree the service is a little slow and the menu is hard to understand , along w/ the server we had

As far as Fantasmic goes you may be surprised my kids were 3 months , 2 and 3 the first time they saw it and they loved it, were not scared at all ! It's actually DH's favorite show at WDW !

If you plan on seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade , I would not even make a dinner ADR , because of the early showing time and it being knew you have to be there an 1 to 2 hours in advance to get a seat . Trust me I wanted to see it soo bad and we missed it twice ,once cause DH had a migraine which couldn't be helped & the second time cause our ADR ran to late and we made it there 5 minutes after show time and couldn't see a thing . Parade starts on Main Street and not down in Frontierland like other parades do .

Can't wait to here more about your plans !!popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

We are planning Epcot that day then MK EMH that night! I am hoping along the same lines you are, that it won't be overly crowded due to it being value season.

Sounds like another great day in MK...but is there ever a day that sounds bad in MK??? :lmao: I had debated on an ADR at Whispering Canyon. I think Jon would so enjoy it but we decided to do a different one instead. I think it would be the kind of place that is right up Jon's alley with teasing and such. Oh well, it was Jon's choice to do a different one.

We ate there in 2008 and really liked it. They teased us a bit, but were kind of easy on us because of Claire. But table next to us was all adults and they really were giving it to them. It was so funny. They have really awesome milkshakes there. I must admit, that is one of the main reason I want to go back, that and the s'more cheesecake! MMMM

Are we there the same time? I could be wrong, but I was thinking you were going earlier. I'll have to go back and check. I swear my memory is really going lately. The date this is planned is Dec 13

I heard when crab is stringy like that it is overcooked. Probably hard to keep it perfect on a buffet though. But I'm stil lexcited to give it a try.
I might just pass on the parade then. I can't see us sitting for 2 hours to get a seat.
Spectro starts on Main Street too. The afternoon parades start in Fronterland.
With Fantasmic, Claire is lately getting scared from really dumb things. When we went to see the movie "up" She balled like a baby at the movie theatre during the chase scene. When we watched it at home when we bought it, she left the room during that part. Also she used to love Enchanted, but now she won't watch it because of the witch. I know it's a phase, but it can be a bit annoying at times. LOL!

Hey Jen! I didn't know your plan would put us there the same day! The 13th will be our 2nd park day and we are spending it in the MK! We're not doing the EMH, but will be in the park all day and stake out a spot on Main Street for the castle lighting and MSEP early. I figure out after being on our feet all day we'll be ready to just sit for a while. I hope it all works out and we can meet you there!

UGH!!!! Anyone have a Disney Visa?
I have 2. One I pay all my monthly bills on and then pay it off at the edn of the month...and earn those rewards points. The other I got for the 150 rewards point and don't use it much. Paige has a joint card on that one. She charges things occasionaly and pays me within a few days and I pay it off immediately. I also put my $200 Disney deposit down on it and 1 night of my room only payment. There is supposed to be no interests on the Disney pprtion for 6 months. I just found out tonight though that the room only doesn't count for that. But I was charged interest for last month and quickly contacted them and they refunded me, but told me that my Disney portion was paid off last month and now I have interest on everything else. I let her know that I have paid off everything but the Disney portion, (not knowing at the time that the room part was not included in the no interst thing). But she says no, it's paid off.
I am kind of ticked off. I have the money to pay it all off, but have been waiting till we actually know for sure we are going, since it's supposed to be interest free. I asked on the budget board, and so far the response was the same. The $200 portion should not have had payment applied to and should still be interest free. But evidently I have a stupid support person. LOL! I might call and see what they say. Also, the interest was applied to $452.50. But everything was paid for, except $362. So technically if they were going to charge me interst it should've been only on the $162 part. It's weird because for a couple of months, no interests was added, and now all of a sudden it is.

Ok, just venting. I'm gonna pay it all off this month, or cancel it, if we end up not going. So there should be no further charges. But it just annoys me.

I wondered if we would be there at the same time or not. You are staying at Pop too, right?
We must meet! That would be great! I sure hope it works out for us to go. I have really been doing all I can to get Skip convinced, and he keeps joking about it.
He had said something about cleaning out the garage to make room for his pulling tractor for the winter, and guess what I did today! ;)
I am singing Disney songs to him...and he says in a robot voice.. Must Not Be Brainwashed! LOL!

Your plan sounds encouraging!

We are arriving at the POP 12/11 and going to 1900 PF that night. The next day will be DHS. Monday the 13th will be the MK. It's all finally starting to seem sort of close. It would be so much fun to meet! I'm sure Katie would love to hang with Claire for a bit!

Yep we are going December 11-15th. We were ORIGINALLY going November 30-4th or 5th.....I can't remember. But I had to change the dates due to my work schedule. That may be why you are confused lol. It isn't you I promise!

The only park I have decided it is essential to be at for rope drop is DHS. Jack and got to DHS 30 minutes after opening and the wait for toy story mania was 50 minutes and the fastpass return time was after 2 pm. By the time we had waited 50 minutes and ridden the ride, the fastpass return time was after 7 pm. So if you want to be able to ride a few times (without waiting a long time), getting there first thing is pretty important. Of course Claire may not like that ride, but Jack idolizes all things Toy Story :rotfl: Your plans look great though!

You know, for the life of me I can't remember when you are going. I know the 10th is in their somewhere because of Claire's birthday but that is all I can really remember... You need a ticker! :lmao:

I know. I haven't put one in yet, because I don't want to totally jix myself. LOL! The plan right now is Dec 8-15. We will be at AKL for the 1st 2 nights ,and then off to Pop on the 10th.

Yes ,we rode TSM in 2009, and really liked it. I hope to get there early, but we'll see how it goes. It is schedueld for our last day right now.

Yep, I was thinking that you were going in Nov 30. Is that a recent change? I swear I don't remembe reading it, but I am also not caught up on all my threads either. :rolleyes1

Claire would love it too. Alot of times she starts out really shy when she meets new people (or sometimes obnxious) and then once she warms up, she talks nonstop. LOL!

I'm confuzzled - so the Disney portion should be charged interested - and you had that and some stuff that SHOULDN'T be charged interest on there - you made a payment and they applied it to the stuff that doesn't have an interest rate? So now you are stuck paying interest on the Disney portion still? Ridiculous.

Good for you for being so observant on the bills though! I hope you get it worked out.

If you end up paying it off and then canceling the trip, you will have a credit on the card, which you can either request a check for or just use up by using the card. Both are kinda annoying because you either have to wait, wait, wait for YOUR money, or you have to watch to be sure you don't go over the limit on the card.

Yeah, the Disney portion wasn't supposed to be charged interest. But I guess since I made payments before the other charges came full cycle, they applied it to my Disney portion instead. It's really confusing, but thats how someone on the budget board explained it to me. I'm just going to pay it all off. And now I know. LOL! I guess. :rolleyes1
