Dairy Farmers Wife IS going to Disney in March/April!

Sounds like a great plan. I really have to get to re-working my plans. I just realized I have us at WMH EVERY morning it is available and if no EMH then its RD! LOL

I woul;d do every EMH or rope drop if I could....But with Claire, it's not possible. She is not an early riser. She never has been. I think it if we get to bed at decent times though, she will be Ok on some ealry mornings, now that she is more used to it with school. But it is hard to get to sleep early at Disney. I've done 1 rope drop at AK, and thats when I let the 2 sleepy heads sleep in and I went for awhile by myself. And thenn we did HS ropedrop once so we could get to Daisy Duck immediately, since that was a major goal for Claire. I don't have any planned for this trip at all. But if they need sleep, I might venture over to a park early and come back when they are ready.

sounds like a fun day!and laid back type of day... how exciting that Claire is looking forward to EE!!! Ashton really enjoyed the Nemo story, so did I! Danny enjoyed the A/C...

I hope Claire likes it, and that we can get on it with out waiting forever. She also wants to ride space mountain, which is exciting too. But a little nerve racking since the seats are singles. She's not quite tall enough for RnR yet, and I am thankful for that.
She even mentioned riding Dinosaur again, which really surprised me. She wasn't all that impressed with it last time. She never cried or screamed, but she said it was scary when we got out.

Sounds like great plans. This would be a good day for Skip to stay at the hotel if he was having a painful day, as I know he doesn't care for AK. I am not a big fan of it myself, but I like EE and Festival of the Lion King a lot. Not a HUGE Nemo fan. If i had to choose I would pick Lion King over Nemo, but if you have time definitely don't miss it. I think it is good to see at least once. We have AK planned for the last day. I think it will be a toss up between there, DHS and MK. We switched hotels to the BWI this weekend so we could be closer to Epcot (really looking forward to holidays around the world).

I think the dining plan is about 96 for the 3 of us. And yep, I do the math over and over. LOL I think we would be close to breaking even on the plan, doing breakfast. We really have liked the plan the past few years, and have always save, even though it's not a huge savings, we have saved. But the best part is that it's pre-paid, and then I don't have to hear Skip complain at EVERY meal. LOL! That is worth it's weight in gold there! :rolleyes1 It's completely out of mind when we just hand the card, and leave a tip.

:rotfl: Yes, family happiness has a HUGE monetary value!!!!! :thumbsup2

Your AK plans are looking good - just kinda rolling with the day since Skip isn't a fan, which will allow you and Claire to still have fun, but he won't be complaining or anything, good balance! Nemo is a GREAT show, I hope you get to see it! Skip might even like it!

How exciting about BWI. I forget where you origionally were going to stay though! LOL! oops! (was AKL?) We loved Lion King alot too. We'll just see how the day goes. And the weather too. I am going with the assumption it wil lbe nice, but you never know. LOL!

If we do arrive on Tuesday, I may squeeze in a little time at AK on Wed. too. LOL! I have little plans being made in my head all the time. :rolleyes1

Sounds like a good day at AK. River rode EE for the first time last year and loved it I chickened out. But I promised I would ride with him this time. Does it have stomach drops? I hate those. He will also be trying Space Mountain for the first time this year I haven't been on it since 1989, the one seater thing is making me nervous too.

Yes, It does have stomach drops, but in my opinion not bad ones. I really think all Disney coasters ar very tame. The wildest one would be RnR, and that is mostly because of the take off.
I live 1 1/2 hours away from Cedar Point and grew up going there every summer. If you aren't familiar wit hthat Park, it has been voted the top amusement park for the last 15 years. It has some of the worlds tallest, longest, largest rides. It has more coasters than any other park as well. I no longer ride the "big" rides there. But even what is considered smaller is still bigger than most of Disney's stuff.
Bakc when I was about 12 or so, they Built the "Gemini" which at the time was the world tallest wooden coaster. I now look at it and think wow, it's so small compared to other stuff. LOL! That sone I will stil lride, because it is tame.

According to DH, Space Mountain almost killed him! When he was about 12 (1983?), he and his family went on SM and at the top of the 1st incline, his seat belt clicked open. His sister held his shoulders down and he held on to the bars that used to be on the insides of the car. Now he's not a fan of roller coasters. When I went on with DD in '08, I sat behind her and held her shoulder b/c of the fear he's put in me!!

Day 5 ~ Dec 12

The plan for this day is Epcot.
I would like to get to the park early today. So we will try to get an earlier start. We do have an ADR for Arkerhus at 10:35, so that means we have to be moving at least by then. My goal is to get there early though, and get a fast pass for Soarin'. And perhaps ride 1 or 2 things before we eat.
I want to stay at Epcot ALL day and see Illuminations. We have yet to see it since I have started to go with Skip and Claire. I saw it last back in 1999.
One other thing we will do is the pick a pearl for our little pearl cage coach necklaces.
Since we are paying OOP for CRT on Friday I will end up with an extra ADR for the week, so I have decided Epcot would be the best park to use it up. I have made 2 for dinner, and I am still trying to decided which I want to cancel. I have Chefs de France for 6:50 and Via Napoli for 7:45.
I am leaning towards Via Napoli. But the trouble is, I have heard it is slow and I worry it will run into the start of Illuminations, which are at 9:30. But I think we should be OK, and I think that is the one I will stick with....at this point and time.
After Illuminations, we will probably straggle back to the bus stop. I know the lines will be horrid, so I'll be in no rush. Then off to sleep. This will be a LONG day, and I'm sure my 2 other family members will be exhausted.

Oh NO! But I have to tell you, that would make the ride fun for me. LOL! Now my little, I would be scared to death for.
Back when I was younger...going to Cedar Point, one ride, call the Blue Streak, had a seatbelt and a lap bar, but not the nice lap bars of today. We used to buckle our seat belt and then get cleared to go, and then unbuckle it! :scared1: And that made the ride so fun. We would be flying all over in our seat, with a flimsly lapbar holding us in. Yes we were THAT dumb to do it! It has changed completely now, and it's got more to keep you in, and there is no way to undo seatbelts now once a coaster leaves the building.

Yes we were originally staying at AKL, but I WANTED to stay at BWI. I swear my indecisiveness is going to cost me big time one of these days! There are just TOO many places to stay at Disney, and TOO much to do! I am hoping the weather will be great too. We went in November last year and the first day was FREEZING! My friends gave me crap for wearing my North Face jacket in Florida, but I was warm and they were cold! So the joke is on them! Too bad I think I lost that coat. I have no idea where I put it. Better find it, winter will be here in two or three weeks (gotta love New England :sad2:)

I would pick Via Napoli. That is the restaurant I wanted to book, but the CP doesn't have that as a participating restaurant, so we are going to Tuto Italia instead. But the Menu at Via Napoli looks fantastic. I understand what you are saying about the timing though with illuminations. I am having the same issue with Wishes. I know we will see holiday wishes at MVMCP but I really want my friend to see the regular wishes as well. We have a Crystal Palace reservation that runs at the same time as the MSEP so I am hoping we will be done with dinner by the time Wishes starts and just find a spot on main street (wishful thinking I know lol).

I would try out Via Napoli too! We're goind here on Dec. 5th and I can't wait! The menu and pictures look awesome! This will be a long day but if you need a nap you could also check out Ellen's Energy Adventure a couple times, it's like a 40 minute ride...

What is CP? Do you mean the dining plan? if so, Via Napoli is on the plan.

Yes, the picture I have seen look so good. And we have always heard that most of Disney's pizza is pretty gross. I think Only Claire has tried it, and that would be at Buffets. But this stuff looks great.

CP = Candlelight processional. Via Napoli is not one of the restaurants that you can get the package with :(

OOOH! LOL! I forgot about that. I actually...and no one hit me....have no desire to se that, so I guess that is why it didn't click.

I would love to see it but I know there is no way Gavin and Brenda would sit still long enough for me to enjoy it... Maybe someday! :lmao:

That is one reason I don't want to see it. I always hear about the lines.
Maybe I should look for it on youtube and get an idea of what it is like. But the day I have DHS scheduled, they don't have it playing anyways.

Well I just watched most of Fantasmic on Youtube. Definitely a no for us right now. First off, I didn't see it as very impressive, but it is hard to get that feeling from Youtube. But the main reason is, it is extremely scary. There is no way Claire will sit through that long of a scary scene. So it looks like we'll have to wait a few more years till she's out of the scared phase.

Don't count it out! It's a great show. I truly loved it. DD & DS saw it in '06 when they were 6 & 4 respectively. We went during the summer to the late show and they watched the whole thing. DS loved the fire scene!! It's soooooo cool how they put the movies on the sprays of water and it really does look like Jiminy is caught in a bubble.

We didn't get to see it during our trip in '08 and I was so sad. I'm looking forward to seeing it again this year.

Haha it is not for everyone. For example I would NOT stand in the stand by line for it. But I have no problem using two meal credits to get the priority seating (we are going deluxe so we can use the credits for CRT, HDDR and CP, it was only an extra $120 pp thanks to the free dining), I think we also get a reserved spot for Illuminations, but we probably won't stay for that. One of my friends didn't enjoy it, one loved it.
