Dairy Farmers Wife IS going to Disney in March/April!

Well I just watched most of Fantasmic on Youtube. Definitely a no for us right now. First off, I didn't see it as very impressive, but it is hard to get that feeling from Youtube. But the main reason is, it is extremely scary. There is no way Claire will sit through that long of a scary scene. So it looks like we'll have to wait a few more years till she's out of the scared phase.

We went last year and Emma is a scardey Cat and she liked it. We also went in 5 min before it started and sat at the back so she wouldn't be right in the front and then we didn't have to wait in line and we got to exit first

I forgot to post this the other day!
Look what I bought.

luggage.jpg

It was on sale, and I have been looking for a new bigger suitcase, since one of ours has pretty much bit the dust. So this trio was in the price range I was looking at for 1 suitcase, and I decided to bite the bullet. But what irked me is, I ordered it Sunday and on Monday they came out with free shipping. Oh well. Can't win everytime.

I am wondering if I can use the duffle as a carry on though. It's about as long as my carryons, but the height is bigger.(laying flat ) and the width would be smaller than a normal carry on.
But it's so cute.

OMG... I'm sooo far behind! I did a little update on my PTR. I love that green luggage though! Perfect for a Diser!!

So... a decision will be made shortly right? Then we can figure out when to get our two princesses together at Pop! :) :cool1:

You will be checking into Pop just as we are checking out...how is that fair?!? :lmao:

Oh my!!! I love, love, love that new luggage! It is just super cute! Glad you were able to find it at a good price!

I keep thinking about that Disney visa but I have 2 CCs already. I really don't want another one... although I have thought about paying all my monthly bills with it then paying the CC off every month. I could rack up some serious rewards points if I could charge my mortgage! :lmao::lmao:

I've learned that you should ALWAYS have a code or wait for a sale when ordering from the Disney store. They run sales about every other week. If you can resist the urge, wait for a deal! ;)

Cute luggage! The requirements for the carry-on should be on the airlines websites, so then you'll be able to know. It looks like it might be too tall, but I really haven't a clue!

That stinks about the free shipping coming out a day later! :headache: At least you still got a deal though.

We are talking more about it, and he hasn't said yes, but he kind of talks like yes we are going, if that makes sense? LOL!

Maybe we'll be able to run into each other.
I love that luggage too.

I have looked at few airline requirements. And they have set height , etc. And I think it's too big. But I know from experience that some airlines don't care. I know with Allegiant, people come on with full sized luggage and have never been told no. At least not on the flights I've been on. While others will make you oput your carryon in a box to be sure it fits in it.

I pay all I can with the one. I can't pay any mortgages with it though. I only pay the one for my mobile home which we have renters in. And it has to be a check. Beleive me I tried. LOL!
Our house mortgage is through the farm, so I have nothing to do with that one when it comes to paying it. I have about 240 in rewards saved up right now. :dance3:
I know I should've waited, but I was so worried the good price would be gone and jsut ordered it, since they had recently just had free shipping. I did get 10% off the order though because I used my Disney Visa. But if I had free shipping and the 10% off I think I would've saved another $9. Not alot but every bit counts.

Onto our last full day, which is Dec 14.

This is the day I have planned for DHS. This is my least favorite park. So I only have one main thing I want to do. The Osborne lights! Anything else we do will be icing on the cake, but definitely the Lights.
We will most likely do ToT, because Claire liked it last trip. I also will try to get to TSM, but it depends on how early we can make it there. Last trip we were lucky enough to get ther fairly late in the morning, and still capture a FP. The ride is fun, but not fun enough to wait in line for an hour or so.
We have a ADR at Prime Time Cafe at 4:30 PM. I'm kind of excited to try it. I have heard mixed reviews on it, but it looks fun.
We have never done a TS in DHS yet, so it will be fun to do that.
Skip likes Lights Motor Action. I don't. I know, most love it, but I found it slow and Claire didn't seemed all too crazy about it either. So if he wants to see the show, he can, but I think Claire and I will skip it.
I kind of wish I had put this park on another day, since it's our last day, but I think the lights will make up for any slump I am in about it being our last park.

At this point and time, to rearrange parks, would mean rearranging ADR's, which is next to impossilbe if I want to get what I want anymore at ths time.
The park closes at 8. We will then head off to Pop and get ready to depart the next day. And if we fly Allegiant, it means a really early morning to go home. Most likely with Claire crying...and maybe me too. :rolleyes1

If we don't fly allegiant, I'll try to schedule a later flight and maybe hit Epcot in the morning.

Once home, I'll drag the suitcases in and Skip will run in and change and be out the door to work. He's crazy like that. And Claire and I will lay around be be extremely lazy! (and hopefully nap.)

So these are my plans right now. Which may change up a bit. So don't be surprised when I have a whole new list of what we are doing. LOL!

Ideally, if we can arrive on Tuesday, rather than Wed. things can run a little smoother. The 2 problems with that is, Allegiant doesn't fly out on Tuesday, and Skip prefers to fly out of Toledo, and 2. Skip hates being gone very long. There is always a chance he may fly home sooner, or arrive later.
Another thought I had was to invite MIl for a few of the days. But I think he will not like the idea of spending more money. And she watches the nephew ALL the time. I'm afraid SIL would give her a guilt trip about being gone 3-4 days and then MIL would cancel and we would be out the money.
I plan to start to go over some of these plan this week.

Sounds like a great way to end the trip...seeing the lights! That is one of the things HIGH on my to-do list. My only worry would be if it rains that last night or something happens and you don't get to see them. Just a thought... again, I am a first timer so I know nothing! :rotfl:

The kids and I will be much like you and Claire... crying when we leave I am sure. I have 10ish hours in the car after I leave so I will have tons of time to cry! :rotfl2:

Great, throw wrench in the plan! LOL! I guess I will watch the forcast before we go. One other thought I have been toying around with is to go just for the lights on Wed night. Just pop in see the lights and head back to the resort. I have been thinking about how that is one of the MAIN things I want to see for the whole trip, so that maybe we should do it the 1st night to start things off as well.

Did you all hear that CRT's menu has changed? Now I never thought it was the best to begin with, especially for the money you pay to go there, but I love the chocolate Buckle and to me that was worth it....well it's GONE! So is the Prime Rib. Alot of things have been changed, and I guess the complaints are high right now. I hope they wise up or make the food better before I get there!

Hey Jen, Just wanted to say I'm still here. As you know, I've had a lot on my plate the last week or so. Where did you see the new CRT menu? I kind of want to eat at CRT simply so I can say I've eaten in the castle. But, the menu has never looked good enough to me to use 2 table service credits.

Hey! I totally understand and have been surprised to even see you on here at all lately.
The new CRT Menu was post in a thread. They had pictures of it. So far I haven't found totally updated on All Ears, but I haven't looked today either. :rolleyes1

Here's the thread, but there are a couple more about it too.

We had breakfast in the castle, and we used our rewards points to pay. It was good and Kadence loved it. I don't think I'd ever do dinner, too many picky eaters in my house. I hope the menu is back on for your trip.

The prime rib AND the buckle are gone! Those were the only two things making it worth the price to eat there! Glad I have breakfast booked this time around. I hope enough people complain and it is changed for you.

We're going for a late breakfast to the castle... I'm thinking that's just gonna be the normal breakfast spread. Hopefully something will taste yummy there for you guys!

I just saw this recently. Hoe could they go and change the menu on us?!? UGH! I have actually been thinking of changing it then I remember this really is Brenda's dream. She would be happy with PB&J if that meant eating in the castle. So I will stick with it and remind myself how awesome it will be... even without those favorites I have heard so much about.

We did dinner there last trip and enjoyed it. But it wasn't the best food ever, but the experience was fun. We went back when the fairy godmother did her show.

Exactly. I'm sure we'll be fine. but I am disappointed. I am also thinking of ordering a white chocolate glass slipper dessert, since it is Claire's b-day.

I have thought about breakfast there, but we just aren't early risers. And since we are doing BBB before, I knew it would be hard to get to it.

Yep, I would probably cancel if it wasn't for Claire. I wasn't even going to do it again, but since it was her b-day I decided that would be a great way to celebrate. But if we were to go in March, I wouldn't try for it since we did it already once.

I LOVED breakfast there....the whole atmosphere....and I thought the food was great. But I'm also a huge fan of breakfast. :)

Jen--I think you will have a great time and it will be a memory for Claire forever...no matter what they have on the menu. I know it's hard to pay so much when you might not like the food, but you aren't really paying for the food, you are paying for the experience....and that will be priceless!

So...how far are we from "FINAL DECISION DAY"?

I agree, it's all about the experience there.
I think it has to be paid in full on the 26th, if I am remembering right. I'm 90% sure we are going at this point, but now it's just to get Skip to agree and get it paid off before that deadline.
