D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 8/9/24-8/11/24 **Tickets on sale 3/26** **Sold Out on 3/29**

For those that did signings last time, if you were in standby were you able to get a signing and how early did you line up? Also what's the procedure like if there are multiple signings at the talent booth but it's staggered times? Do they have separtate lines for each artist?
For the star signings, low. People lined up 2+ hours at times but typically 1 hour is where most start showing up.

It's really.hit miss based on the no show rate and mood of the signor to extend.

What I really didn't like is the handlers putting extra signings between guests in line. They would throw.in posters to sign and set them aside for whatever unknown reasons. This would slowly down the line and reduce standby chances.

Still no email with selections. SO weird. Found the email confirmation of our selections. I know the email said the releases would begin Aug 2 and will receive sometime after that but looks like most have received those. If we do not receive any, we use that link someone kindly posted to get an queue and try to select? Thanks in advance!

That's annoying that they did that. I wonder if that's why they opened up how many guests you can bring. Was the line easy and clear that states it is for standby?

I’m not sure if I would use that link. It already has a queue forming. Last year, I didn’t receive an email. They told me that meant that I hadn’t received anything through the RSP, even though I entered. Several people were in this situation. They ended up throwing us a bone, but I was the Princess Concert, the last panel on the last day, which was easily available via standby. You said that you checked your spam, correct? It was suggested in an FB group to email D23 guest relations.

Yes, the handlers essentially say no guarantees for standbys, but welcome to wait behind those with reservations. Almost all spots had standby queues.

Talent central rarely let any standbys over the years. Many celebrities did work the rope lines though and that's always fun to watch and get that selfie moment. Tangled was a great one a few years ago.

What are everyone's thoughts on small snacks to bring into the ACC? I know you're not supposed to bring in any outside food, but surely a granola bar won't be too offensive? I think I will need something to hold me over until the long lines at lunch have died down

I usually smuggle in something small in the bottom of my bag or my pants pockets. I’ve brought in bars and trail mix before. They have never confiscated it, but they could. Lines for food can get long, and they run out sometimes.

I brought in a lunchbox the first day in 2019 as well as snacks and in 2022 def brought in snacks without an issue. Also brought in 2 filled reusable water bottles in 2022.

Lines were so long in 2022, I'd really rather avoid them and just get something fast later on the way to HC

Yes, checked spam and still nothing. Thanks for the tip. Emailed Guest Services and hoping for something!

Just as a follow up we reached out to D23 Guest Services and received the following response in part:
"RSP award emails are still being sent throughout end of day today 08/05" Holding out hope!
Maybe you get the signings.

Just for the potential of being more information about the RSP modifications for tomorrow:

I called D23 this morning for another matter.

The rep told me that the RSP thing tomorrow is basically this: if somebody cancels an RSP, it'll go back into the pool, and other people can pick it up there. They said they aren't releasing any further RSPs. (I asked if I could potentially modify my ILM Stagecraft RSP time, they said that wouldn't be possible.)

Interesting. I wonder how many people actually cancel.

I'm a first timer at the D23 event. I've been reading through the thread and am feeling pretty well prepared. But one thing I can't figure out is what to expect for security and entry times. The only panel I got into is at 12:45pm one day, but mostly I just want to walk around and see things, maybe get in some standby lines and VQ a few shops. Is there ever a time of day without huge security lines? Is coming and going to the park or hotel during the day feasible at all? Or should I just plan to stay once I've arrived?
