D23 Expo September 9-11, 2022 Superthread **Updates in Posts 2 & 3**

Does anyone know if once you transfer a badge to someone, can they transfer it to someone else if they can't go?
In the "Things to Know" Section of the D23 Expo website, the Badge Management section notes the following:
After a badge has been accepted by a recipient, the recipient has full ownership of the badge and is responsible for any future transfers.
I would guess that statement means that multiple transfers are possible, but I haven't done it so I'm just quoting.

Today's announcement: well played, Disney - a Muppets panel AND a Duffy panel. I hope that I can stream those. ;)

I am finding it funny that I have been debating on a Miss Piggy costume for OBB and wearing it on Saturday for the Expo since it is that night and they are doing a 30th The Muppet Christmas Carol on Saturday.

"To celebrate the launch of DisneyMe as part of Disney Uncharted Adventure on the Disney Wish," Sure Disney, keep pouring salt in the fact this wasn't ready for us on the maiden voyage... :headache:

My son is going this year for the first time, along with his grandma. Can someone explain Stage Pass to me? How do you select your preferences and when do they assign which panels people get? Can’t seem to find any clarity around this anywhere?

They haven’t announced details yet for this year.

It's 38 days until the Expo. Does anyone know when we'll get the email regarding the entire schedule of presentations and the lottery for guaranteed admissions?

NEED GUIDANCE! My husband and daughter are attending D23 for the first time but we are novices at all! (We live in FL about 1 hr from WDW, are annual pass, DVC, been to DL CA and Paris but newbies when it comes to D23!) When he purchased the tickets months ago the day it went on sale, as a D23 Gold member, the choices were a 3 day or 1 day pass. However, after reading information on the app today it states that tickets with Hall D23 Preferred Seating are sold out. So if they have a D23 Gold 3 day pass did they have to buy a different ticket for the Hall Preferred Seating? Or is that included in their 3 day gold pass? The 3 Day Gold pass they have does not mention anything about the Hall Preferred Seating. ANY help is appreciated!!

Hall D23 preferred seating was a ticket type. It's a guaranteed seat to all of the panels in Hall D23 in the front center section. It's a fraction of the seating for all of the Hall. For those without the preferred seating pass you will likely be subjected to the overnight queuing of years past for admittance to the morning panels. They have not announced any further details. There is a picture of the "preferred section" on the 2nd post on page 1 of this thread.

Thanks. I think the issue is we purchased tickets on January 19 and the Hall D23 ticket says it went on sale on January 20 so thinking this was not offered as an option the day we purchased?

Correct, it looks like you bought your tickets during the Visa presale. The preferred tickets were not offered during the presale.

UGH. Thanks so much. Assume all of the Hall events have people queuing all night? Any chance of getting in one if you don't? The main one they want to attend is the Parks one. Thanks again.

Parks you probably would need to show up before 6am. The Saturday morning panel is the one that will have people camping entirely overnight.

Really appreciate the insight. Of course they got Oogie Boogie tickets for Sat night so would say they should go to bed early on Sat night but that won't happen!

I purposely decided not to buy a ticket for that Oogie Boogie party because of the hours surrounding being at the expo all day. It just would have been too much and I have a preferred ticket.

Oh man I have preferred ticket too but I decided to buy an oogie boogie bash ticket since I didn't know how far panels were scheduled that day. I'm so excited that Marvel is gonna be there. I wasn't gonna wait at comic Con for them knowing it was gonna be an insane lineup for wristbands.

I knew that the expo hours were going to be 9am-7pm each day. I had been looking at maybe going to a different party but I waited too long, oops lol I’ll go to one next year.

Sorry if its already been asked but, i understand they are going to live stream some of the panels/talks, who gets access to those? Do i need to be a gold member?
