D-Day Invasion- "Strange"-ly Imminent!! TRIP REPORT IS UP!!

I think Tate needs to visit the Circle D and ride a horse.

To do so, he'll need chaps and a hat.

For those of you still up, I"m here. Responses coming right up- but I just had to say, some poeple say they are glad they "put their coke down". I"m just glad I went pee after I woke up! You guys are making me laugh- hard. That hard.

I love your photo ideas. I'll be anxious to see your view of the fountains. I love how everyone has their own interest when it comes to photographs. LL has her light fixtures, I have my ceilings and you have fountains. :)

LL, you must have been reading my mind when it came to that WWII picture. I was looking at it going, I wonder if that woman even knows that guy. :rotfl:

Now I just have to find a creative, artsy fartsy way of capturing them- on canvas. ;) :rotfl2:

That is highly illogical.

There seems to be no sign of intelligent life anywhere...

"Make it so."

(Jumping ahead to a different series here, but by far my favorivte Star Trek character.)

Mmmm... mine too!! Something about his commanding leadership, well, and his handsomeness. :cloud9:

maroo, I understand what you mean about being happy that someone else takes the pics! Very often I am the one with the camera and I love it if I just let someone else try to capture the moments! :goodvibes

I hope the other ladies will take SOME of them! If we pool them, we'd have 3 times as many, and from completely different perspectives. I'll share my canvas.

You are hilarious!!!! I can't wait to meet you! :yay:

:lmao: Me? A DISCelebrity?! Noooo...now LL, you, Wigd, TK, MeMom and many, many others, YES! I'm just a geeky gal with a passion for.....oh gosh, that sounds horrid....CORN DOG NUGGETS! ;)

I am looking forward to our Corny Weiner Meet. I told Joe of it last night as he was falling asleep, from the mumbles I got in return, I think he's excited too.

At first I was confused by your "Tate" comments, but I've figured it out. I'm not that far yet in your PTR, I am done with section one though and loving every second.

I know exactly what you were gonna say, I almost said it myself, and thought, boy that sounds X-rated!! :lmao:

I'm so glad Joe's on board. Seriously, you guys seem like a great family- there are just so many nice folks around here.

That's a boatload to read, Brook. I'm fabulously impressed! I think what makes it unique is that most everyone is willing to jump right in and not be shy. We DO like to joke around and chat it up. It's a great place to be.

I don't think ANYONE can get a good night shot on those little point and shoot gizmos. You need a very fancy camera with those million dollar lenses on a tripod to capture any sort of glory in a night shot. I've tried endlessly to fiddle with the settings on my camera to hope for a better night shot but it just never happens.

Liesa, those are great pictures (and I don't care if one is a painting - it's still a picture of something ;) ) I'm sure you'll take amazing photos. Be creative. Find those abstract lines and curves. Be stylish and frame your subject. Good luck fair soldier :thumbsup2 Of course the majority will be at the DIS meet right? :rolleyes1

I think you're right!! On my birthday, (remember that??) there were fireworks for VE Day, and I played around with my settings some. I ended up with a few ok ones, but not anything like Melissa or Rebecca can get with their rigs. Maybe in my distant future I can get something that weighs more than 3ounces. :confused3

Great advice!! I really want to focus in on the details. Big shots are fun and all, but they seem to really lose something in the "bigness". I came across a TR not long ago, where this amazing photographer really did just that. Details. Like a bin of do-dads in a shop, or just one sign on a restaurant, or the texture of the castle. But, it will take more time. Can't do that rushing around.

I'm sure, there will be MANY of the DISMEET!! They'll probably end up being the best of the lot. ;)

I love your photo ideas! The fountains at Disney are quite beautiful.
I can't wait to see the photos in your TR :goodvibes

I hope that at least a few of my IMAGES turn out for you all to enjoy. I can say that becuase at least one or even two will be drawings at ANim. :rotfl2: (So there, Glenn and Marv.) Anyway, thanks, Jennifer!! I do love the fountain idea, hopefully, I will remember to take one of every one I find.

Evening all just enjoying the BANTER!!!!!!

Good evening, Rosie!! How was your day??

Banter? Banter? I don't see no stinkin' banter!!! :rotfl:

Amazing how you all just keep talking to yourselves.

I may not be able to hear what you're saying but I can definitely feel your energy! Rosie = :hyper: :rotfl2:

She's all full of fun and energy! I can't wait to meet her!

Banter? On this thread? NEVER! :rolleyes1

Liesa... great war 'pictures'! We better see tons of pictures in your TR... for better or worse! popcorn::

If you look at the post counts for the posters, you'll see I carry on an awful lot of personal banter. :rotfl2: As for the rest of you...

Most will be worse, I fear given the impotence of my equipment.

Yeah, stock up on paint and brushes before you go. I know where you can find an easel at the World Showcase. :rotfl2:

I LOVE that easel. I have a private joke I'll PM you about that very one. You think they'd notice if I borrowed it?

:lmao::lmao:

Wonder how many canvases(sp?) Liesa can fit in her suitcase for the flight home? :scratchin

I"m an international traveler. We carry many things.

Good question! I hope it's a lot. :rotfl2:

Only my 2 pictures from Anim Studio- and that's paper. Donkey.

I think Tate needs to visit the Circle D and ride a horse.

You are right!! And a lasso!

You are on 'early' tonight!

You have some catching up to do! :happytv:

My DH actually decided to go to the office today- first time in like a week. Now we're mostly focusing on stuff that we need to finish here at home- going through cupboards and drawers, selling the car, applying for a job in the US, getting house dox in order, etc... but when he's home, I don't DIS as much. I think you can guess why.

I love the banter.:rotfl2:popcorn::

Hi KIM- we do too!! Glad you're ready to dive in. Any comments on painting my way through Disney?? :rolleyes1

I've become very interested in photography lately. There is so much beauty to capture in Disney that you just can't capture it all in one trip. I can NOT wait for the weiner photo shoot.
P.S- I started my new PTR! Link is in my sig.:goodvibes

Me too! Because of the GREAT stuff I see here on the DIS, and also because of a friend who is a professional photographer, I've gotten really interested in it too. But it's an expensive hobby, and I'd need to take a few classes. That's my OCD coming out- I"m sure you can come up with some great stuff without going overboard, but I tend to do that.

GREAT! Coming over now to subscribe. :goodvibes

I think I was your TOP poster on the first thread... not so good on this one. :sad2:

You also have to answer to everyone. That adds some posts! :surfweb:

I would just say "paint" a story with your shots. shoot shoot shoot. and delete what you don't like. Sometimes holding the camera at waist level and shooting as you walk brings about some great shots.

And never forget to let the inner child out to play, feels silly while you are doing it, but the memories in phots are so worth it.

how's that?:confused3

he he;)

You were! But you have a good excuse! You actually work- the rest of us... :sad2: Like to play.

I do feel like I want to answer every post. It's the right thing to do. :goodvibes

That's a fun idea- shots from a different perspective than eye level. Something I haven't done yet is gone to the photo boards. I have heard that there are some tips people have put together for getting one's creative on.

I can be very silly- even without alcohol.

Silly "with" alcohol is a special Kind of silly, isn't it?!:rotfl2:

It certainly CAN be. And I dare say, even more so, in World Showcase. ;) Just think of the kinds of photos that COULD happen say with a certain set of sombreros and maracas, or worse yet, a troll and an axe. :lmao:

Hey lady don't be showing off your maracas, this is a family park!!!:rotfl:

But seriously, how else do you hold them but in front of your own "set" or swinging them around above your head? Try the "hold them together turned toward the side pose" when you grab your maracas for the pic!

don't forget to point a toe......:)

or better yet forget the maracas and hold the sombrero "in front" ....;)

just tossing around ideas. My sister and i have so much fun and are so silly while there. especially alone, no kids no men. People around us look at us like "they are crazy" or like they wanna have fun too.:lmao:

We also do take pics from the backside of people and tell people they are famous. that's fun.
