cxan i ask a stupid question....what is ding???

Ding is a downloadable program that you can get from Southwest's site that runs all the time and actually "Dings" when they release special limited # and quickly expiring flight deals. I just got it and I love it. Already saved me a bunch of $$$ and I'm sure that it will help me save even more before we leave. It is so nice to be able to cancel and rebook flights at a lower price with no fees.

wow it lets you cancel without any fees?? is that any time or is there a window of time that you have to do this?

SWA lets you cancel at anytime and rebook without any fees anytime. The only time you have to pay is if the airfare goes up.

I'll throw in another plug for Ding. Normally, I hate downloaded applications that run on my PC. Seems that the payoff is never worth it or it's some sort of spyware. But my husband downloaded Ding, and I haven't heard any complaints about problems with his PC. Better yet, we jumped on an awesome deal the other day...we fly roundtrip between MDW and MCO twice a month, so he snapped up tickets for under $130 for several upcoming flights thanks to Ding.

DING is great!

No performance issues either on my laptop at work or my desktop at home. I also have been lucky enough to catch a great fare to MCO from PVD. Now if only they will release some end of June specials for PVD-MCO.
