CVS Weekly 9/27-10/3

Would anyone be willing to share their scenarios for the Procter and Gamble deal this week or any other ECB deals? There is so much going on in this week's flyer I'm having trouble weeding through a plan.

I will try to come up with something - did you get the recent P&G coupon booklet in the mail? I haven't looked closely at it yet.

I am new to this thread, could someone explain what ECB and WYB (when you buy?) means?

also, I usually do my toiletries purchases at walmart, is CVS cheaper? Just wondering, our local walmart will be closing b/c of the superwalmart opening, but CVS is closer than the superwalmart.

thanks

ECB = extra care bucks, aka EB = extra bucks, everyone used to say ECBs, but now many are just saying EBs

You were right WYB = when you buy

CVS is not cheaper than Walmart at all, but we get them free so cost doesn't matter. It's all about buying things that are free or free-after-extra bucks or free-after-extra bucks/coupons at CVS. We pay for our purchases with coupons and extra bucks earned on previous purchases and then earn additional extra bucks - we only buy the deals and eventually you end up with all the toiletries you could dream of for free or just the cost of tax.

Ok, if you use Tide and have the coupons, this is a good deal:

$24.00 Four (4) Tide
-4.00 Four (4) mfgs. from Sept. P&G
1.00 Dawn
-0.25 mfg. from Sept. P&G
-5.00/25 flu quiz CVS coupon
$15.75 (earn $10)

Not free, but not easy to get 4 Tide for $5.75 elsewhere.

Working on other ideas..

This is what I did for the P&G:

1 Tide Stain Release $4
1 Bounce Dryer bar $4 (I think I've got 5 of these things now! :rotfl:)
1 Tide 32 loads $6
1 Dawn $1
1 Charmin 16pk $10

-5/25
-1.50 Tide Q (from Parents magazine I think)
-1.50 Bounce Q from vocalpoint
-1 Tide q from insert
-.50 Dawn
-.25 Charmin

so, I paid $15.25 and got $10 ECBs back. I think that's worth it for a bunch of TP and laundry products, which are things that don't usually go on sale.

Just popping in to say hi and subscribe. Busy weekend again, but hope to get out tomorrow. All my teams did great at the field hockey tournament today (I am the head coach for the entire progam), but my 4th grade team took 3rd. So it was a good but exhausting day :cool1:

I just came back from a CVS that was set for tomorrow. I did the vaseline with the $1.50 q. Also, if you have any of the Covergirl buy one foundation get any covergirl free you can do this:
1 foundation for 6.69
1 true match/blend blush (I forget exactly what it was called) for $8.49
Covergirl is spend $15 get $5 back.
I threw in a $3 filler (clorox wipes that I had a q to get for free) so I could use a $5/25

Summary: used $6 ECB, spent $1.xx OOP, got back $12 ECB

Glad you found a use for those coupons!

I did the Tide deal I posted earlier and then did this Covergirl deal:

$13.00 CG/Olay Foundation
10.00 CG/Olay Blush
-10.00 CG buy foundation/get face product mfg. from Sept. P&G
2.00 Two (2) Sally Hansen nail polishes (in a $1 bin by checkouts)
-2.00 Two (2) Sally Hansen polish mfgs.
-5.00/$25 (still had a some Ready-Fill left)
$8.00 (earned $5)

I also threw in a box of 96 cent Kleenex and used a $1 Minute Clinic coupon book coupon in each transaction (didn't add that in so as not to confuse the actual deal)

Thanks for the help guys...I printed out your deals:yay::yay::yay::yay:

Found lots of school supplies, plastic organizer boxes, put it together furniture, raisins, cookies, plastic ware all on 75-90% clearance at stores here. I even found a package of white crew socks (6 pairs!) for DH for .49! :yay:

Will someone please help me, how am I able to print the new $5/$25 coupon several times? I printed the ready fill one but each time I tried it the coupon beeped and they told me I had already used it. Any tips? :confused3

My CVS had several stainless steel bottles on clearance for $2! I bought all 4 and these will make awesome Christmas fillers. I even found a 6 pack of Hanes crew socks for $2.50! I got some flash cards for $1.50 each. These are great for ds. I spent around $13 for everything above.

I spent less than $5 with tax today for all this below:

First Transaction- almost $2 w/ tax (used $11 in ECB's and got $12 back)
Vaseline body lotion (money maker w/ coupon)
1 Fusion Razor

Second Transaction- almost $3 w/ tax (used $11 in ECB's and got $10 back)
Used a $5/25 coupon
18 bottles of Dawn dish liquid ($4.75 in coupons & this is a year's worth for me)
2 Bounce Dryer Bars (had $2.50 and $1.50 coupons from Vocalpoint)

I still have $19 in ECB's including that $5 one from the survey. I hope our CVS gets Monsters VS Aliens in early on Tuesday. Those movies always go super quick. I'm going to do the coke deal and use that $5 ECB to get the movie for free! This will be an awesome stocking stuffer for ds. He has no clue. I have a couple of free 12 pack of coke coupons. thumbsup2

I did the fusion, vaseline, 2 newspapers and scope on one card. On the other I did the fusion, vaseline, accucheck (had one coupon left) and 2 .99 trail mixes with a CRT. I used the $5/$25 on both. I also did 2 Charmin and 1 Tide on each card with more $5/$25. Burned some bucks on that but I needed to use them up anyway and we were down to our last pack of Toilet Paper and this was the best deal I have seen in a while for TP.

I did the Tide deal today that was posted before:

4 Tide HE Detergent 4 x $6
1 Dawn Hand Renewal $1
= $25
-$5/$25
-$1 Tide Sept P&G
-$1 Tide Oct P&G
-$1 Tide P&G $120 coupon book
-$1 Tide P&G $120 coupon book
-.50 Dawn hand renewal
= $14.50

Paid with $10 ECB and remainder on gift card. Got back $10 ECB.

I got the detergent when I could because not all detergent sales include the HE variety.

Right click on the get the flu shot screen. Click settings, a sliding bar appears. Move the cursor to 0 and then another screen will appear and click OK. The sliding bar will appear again and this time move it back to 100 and click close. Do this everytime you want to print another coupon to get a new code on each one. HTH.

Does anyone know if all of the Duracell batteries are working for the deal or do you have to buy the big pack for $10? I mean, can we just buy $10 worth of batteries??

Also, WALGREENS DEAL - become a fan on Facebook by 10/2 and get a free 5x7 photobook (plus shipping).

Walgreens has LOTS of free after RR deals this week. You should check out the Walgreens thread on hotcouponworld if you have a Walgreens near you.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone.

Anyone have a scenario for the

2 ECB WYB Alcon Opti Free Replenish Value pack $14.99 limit 3

Is that a good deal for the Opti Free?
Thats my new solution per our eye doctor, since the last one was giving me problems. He gave me samples to start but now I have to buy it somewhere. :(

I've basically given up my Swiffer now that I got the Shark steamer (from Kohls with a sale + 30% coupon). I will pull out the Swiffer to do small jobs - like if someone tracks in dirt in one spot or whatever.Maggie
And sorry for the thread hijack..
Hoe do you like the shark steamer? I have a Hoover floormate and it's nearing it's end and I have a 30% kohls for this week. Does it "vacuum"? Or just spurt steam and you wipe with the mop?

It doesn't vacuum. I sweep up the floor first. Then use the Shark steamer.
