CVS Weekly 9/27-10/3

I've created a monster!!!

I bought those Jack Beef Jerky things last week (the week before??) when they were BOGOF and there was a BOGOF coupon. I bought the tenderloin bits or whatever they were called. Well last night, my DD14 was standing there looking in the pantry and said, "I wish we had more of those beef jerky things."

Did you see the regular price on those!!!! And there were maybe 10 bits in the bag.

Maggie

Same thing happened here, I had 6 bags (or maybe more - yikes) of the buffalo chicken nuggets and my son ate them all and talks about wanting more several times a day. $5.99 a bag, I don't think so. They must really be addictive, thankfully I didn't try any but I'm still hooked on those Almonette $1 cookies, my taste is much more budget.

Thank you ladies for helping me out with learning how to coupon at CVS. Once you get the hang of it WOW!! it is so much fun.

I'm having trouble getting it to reset to print more of the quiz coupons. I did try a different link which gave me a whole new code. I used that today for the Coke/Movie deal.

3 12pks for $11 (2 Free 12 pk coupons)
3 Powerade for $4
1 Bag of mixed candy $5
1 Monsters vs Aliens DVD $19.99- $15= $4.99
1 filler item- 50 cents

Total spent w/tax after coupons- $14.85

Not too shabby and it's like I got the DVD for free! This is a great stocking stuffer for ds. :thumbsup2

I got my quarterly earnings today. $2 so not great but not too shabby since I haven't been really doing that much shopping lately.

My CVS says it NEVER gets the movie so if I do the deal and the movie never comes in, I'm out the money??
Sick kids this week so when I finally made it in there-the cover girl coupon expired yesterday. Darn! Thinking of trying anyway but all the people there are so nice and know me already I hate to push it.
Thanks for listing all your deals-had to check before I head back out :-)

Your coupon should still be ok. If a coupon expires during the sale (ex sale runs 1st-7th your coupon expired on 3rd and you can't make it into the store until the 5th you should still be able to use it) you can still use it.

I hope that this makes sense

I did the Tide deal today that was posted before:

4 Tide HE Detergent 4 x $6
1 Dawn Hand Renewal $1
= $25
-$5/$25
-$1 Tide Sept P&G
-$1 Tide Oct P&G
-$1 Tide P&G $120 coupon book
-$1 Tide P&G $120 coupon book
-.50 Dawn hand renewal
= $14.50

Paid with $10 ECB and remainder on gift card. Got back $10 ECB.

I got the detergent when I could because not all detergent sales include the HE variety.

Woah, this thread was on page 3 again, boo!

Hey Maggie or anyone, I'm thinking about doing this deal (if they still have everything) but I've been buying the cheaper detergent like Extra, or Gain. I guess its worth it through this deal, but otherwise Tide is 4X as much as the others. Do you think its worth it?

They will still have it. I am always willing to try other laundry detergents but I come back to Tide. I think it's really the best, it just gets clothes so much cleaner and keeps the colors nice. Now if only they would make those sheets like Purex has - love those things, I am getting lazier every day lol

It sure is!! I went through your town last month on the way home from NOLA, I wish you had started earlier and I would have met you at a CVS to say hi :)

I love to shop so CVS fills that addiction and ends up benefiting my family and many others too and it barely costs me anything - can't get sweeter than that.

We have an HE washer, so I try to get HE variety. My CVS doesn't carry HE version of Gain (although I think they make one from reading the label on the Gain bottle). I'm not sure about Extra. I've never used that. My DD has had severe skin allergies and we were limited to ERA detergent for a long time since that is the only one that she didn't break out with. However, she seems to be slowly growing out of the allergies so I have recently started to buy other types. Sorry I couldn't be more help. But even so, I think it would be difficult to get 4 bottles of even Gain or Extra for around $5.

I asked this before but never got an answer, has anyone tried the Purex sheets with an HE washer? I was thinking of cutting them in half lengthwise.

Maggie, I don't have a washer that is marked HE, but I have a front-loader that has to have to soap reduced by at least 50% and I use a full Purex sheet without a problem. I think it would take 2 sheets in a standard washer to get everything clean, it's low suds, etc. I am stupid about HE so maybe I am talking out of my butt lol!

Thanks LanaJae. That's good to know. I wasn't sure if the low amount of water used in an HE would make it hard to dissolve all the detergent in the sheet or not.

If its low suds, then that should be good for the HE. That is one of the major issues with the HE washer.

You're right Maggie, so I did the P & G deal. Between coupons and a few ECBs, I paid less than $4 OOP. What a great savings! I do agree Tide is the best but it just got so expensive. And I hope your DD continues to do well with it! :goodvibes

I like TIde the best too (especially Tide cold water), but I use whatever I can get for next to nothing;) I have had a front loading HE washer for 7 years now, and I hardly ever use the HE detergent. I just use half the recommended normal amount. I have never had a problem!

Did I miss next weeks thread? I scrolled back and didn't see it.

I ran out today to do a few last minute deals. I finally did the Monsters vs. Aliens deal. Note, on the Diet coke I bought, there was a coupon/rebate thing for a free bag (i think breast cancer awareness since it was pink) when you buy $10 in diet coke (or some other products). Keep an eye out!

I did pretty good on deals today until I hit Walgreens! Then I hit a setback when I got talked into buying a $17 box of caramel corn from the Boy Scouts!! They were like vultures! :lmao: How can you resist a cute little 6-7 year old boy in his outfit??? He made a hard sell for the $40 3 variety tin :rotfl2: but was happy with my smaller $17 tin purchase!
