CVS Weekly 8/16-8/23

New Deal:

HCW is reporting that a 10 ct box of CVS tampons is $1.89 and receiving 1.89 ECB's. They say it looks like a new deal separate from a few weeks ago.

I haven't tried it yet myself. Will try tomorrow. Some are reporting signage up in their stores! Good luck!

Worked for me today. Strangely enough I just realized the ECBs didn't print for the pens. :confused3

Worked for me too, there was a sign at the store I was at.

The pens are confusing, the ones from a few weeks ago were the "1.2" type and this week they are for the "Write Bros." so many stores put the signs on the wrong packages.

You have to clear the flash cookie and take the quiz again to get a new unique code to use it again (and again).

I can't remember the specific directions, but I posted it as a link the day I posted the quiz. Basically you right-click on the survey area before you start it, select settings then move the sliding thing to zero, then say ok, then move it back to "100" then close it.

Thanks for the advice. I did retake the quiz but did not clear the cookies. I was being a lazy couponer and on vacation a lot so I have not been keeping up with all the threads. The whole thing was a little embarrassing - coupon rejection. I read about your 90% savings on the other thread though and now have the urge to go check out our clearance!

Thanks momtosam for the step-by-step instructions too!

Ha-Ha!! I just came back from CVS and I forgot to use my own tip to get the tampons!!! :rolleyes1 how dumb! And I was trying to think of a way to get my CVS brand purchase up so i could use a $2/10!! Duh!:sad2:

Thanks for the reminder!!!!

I hope you hit a 90% too! I hate coupon rejection lol The emailed coupons will work for almost 48 hours before it says that you've used it and even tells you the date and time. Sometimes I say ahead of time "I might have already used this" and almost always then they push it through, but if I don't say something they hand it back to me.

I do that ALL the time, sometimes I go in the store with a bunch of post-it notes to myself and then I forget to read them too and they're stuck on my wallet and there's no way to miss them.

I have another K-mart question, sorry! For the Catalina promotions (the spend $$ get $ type), do you have to spend all the money on one purchase or does it track it somehow like CVS does? And where do I find the K-mart coupon book? Thanks!!

I am pretty sure you have to do it all in one transaction as I don't know how they would track it since there isn't a "club" card type of thing.

You must buy them all in one transaction. Whether it's buy 5 boxes of rice get $2 or spend $20 get $5 back, it has to be in one transaction. This goes for any store that has catalina machines (a lot of grocery stores do). Sometimes just coupons come out for buying certain things too.

I think the kmart coupon books are at the service desk but I haven't shopped kmart in years because I don't have a good one. Good luck.

As for the oops I forgot conversations I went this week specifically for the pepsi and headphones. Guess what I forgot? :rotfl: I ended up getting so excited I found 10 j&j kits, plus the readyfill coupon and got the school supplies that I flaked on the other stuff. Dh is going for me today :lovestruc

My two stores are still at 40% !!

And I do that all the time too, with post its, coupons ect that somehow I don't use, grrr. Also, I just realized I had a $1 CRT on mouthwash I could've used on the Listerine deal, grrrr

When you have a $x/$x CVS brand...you don't have to get exactly $10 as long as your whole total is at least $10. I know I've used mine w/o it beeping when I've only had $8 in CVS brand items. I had quite a bit of other stuff and the register accepted it.

You should see my wallet when I shop! LOL I sometimes have lists printed from here, IheartCVS, IheartWags, and couponmom. Then I highlight things I really want, write in prices of somethings, write a few scenarious with substituions as my stores tend to be out of whatever I want most, and I write other little odd comments. Then I paperclip together the coupons I want to use at each store with the list for that store. I am a very unorganized person and pulling together lists, coupons and ECB/RR takes some time!! Then of course I try to always scan my CVS card and add the CRTs to my clipped together items and try to work those items into my deals. The $6/36 CRT was really strange!!! Then occasionally I go AWOL and don't go to Wags nor WalMart and only get produce and milk at Kroger. I've only skipped CVS about 3 weeks so far this year so none of my ECBs have gone to waste at least.

I use the envelopes that come with my mail for my CVS lists. Like if I pay a bill online. I'll save the envie if it doesn't have writing on it. Then I write my list on the outside and stick my coupons for that week inside. Then each week I add my CVS card and any other coupons left over from last week into the new week's envie. It works for me. Especially since it helps me keep my two cards separate. I made the mistake of mixing them up one time and handing the wrong ECB's with my card!!!!!! That was embarrassing. I thought the CVS police were gonna get me!

My new favorite (and green/cheap) way of organizing involves the free envelopes that are sent with bills/bank/stock statements/donations etc. I write the deals I am interested in, price, coupons, ECB earned and put it all in the free envelope. Works well and then I recycle the envelope and start anew. Just started with the keeping all ads and slipping in a binder. Not sure if I love looking through each ad each week. Usually cut them all and put them in the coupon basket.

 Anyone else tired of their stores not having the advertised items for the 3 day sales? Yet again mine didn't have all the school stuff, sale ends Tues, and truck comes in Wednesday. Time for a email to corp. And no they won't always give rainchecks.
I did get the earphones at least.

My store hasn't been giving rain checks either for the school supplies. When I asked they told me to call the district manager to complain. Actually they encouraged it, apparently they don't care for him:lmao:

I didn't see it mentioned in this weeks thread anywhere but the $4 off $20 skincare coupon from the readyfill booklet and the $5 off $25 survey coupon both scanned through for me in the same transaction. I did the $14.99 L'oreal Eye Duo and the $5.99 L'oreal Cleansing wipes with a few bogo Sobe/fillers to come to just over $25. Used the $5 off $25 and then asked if the $4 off $20 skincare could be used and the cashier said sure and scanned it with no problem(no beeps). Used the $5 off eye duo IP from the L'oreal website and the $1 off cleanser manufacturer coupon. Had coupons for my filler items so they were pretty much free and that left the $5/25;$4/20;$5 IP & $1 manufacturer all coming off the $20.98 that the two L'oreal products cost. So about $5.98 spent to get $10 back. I hope that made sense!
Since the limit is 2 on the L'oreal deal, I stopped at another CVS I pass on the way home to do it again and had no problems doing it there either. I hope that helps anyone who hasn't done the L'oreal deal yet. Thanks to everyone who always posts all this great info - I've saved a ton of money over the past year or so. You guys rock!:goodvibes

I tried printing that $5 L'oreal coupon a few days ago and I think it's already past its print limit. I was bummed since I was totally going to do this deal!

I printed two of the L'oreal $5 coupons yesterday. Not sure if it's still working today. The Sobe BOGO coupon was from iheartcvs.com under the 8/16 weekly thread. I'm not sure how to post a link to it. I didn't think I'd be able to print it since I maxed out on these when they had the last Sobe BOGO sale but I was able to get two from each of my computers again:)

I haven't had time to get to cvs this week yet and I am having withdrawl symptoms ! Ain't lookin'good till saturday !!!!

Thanks for posting! I was able to print 2 of the Sobe BOGO coupons.

I'm a little confused-with 2 BOGO coupons and CVS's BOGO sale, how many Sobes can I get and how much will it cost me? :confused3
