CVS Weekly 5/24-5/30

Thanks and I am sorry to hear about your husband! Is it any better today? You'd think that the IV antibiotics would have worked really fast, sounds awful!

Took him over to the ER this morning and they admitted him for observation. They want to continue him on IV antibiotics through the night and monitor the infection. I left before the results of the bloodwork came back, but I am sure it shows an infection :scared: He is diabetic so any type of injury like this is much worse than a healthy 30 year old, especially on his lower extremities.

Hopefully I can get out to look for the neutrogena deal tomorrow!

Does anyone know if there is a coupon for the Dove skin revitalizer refills? I saw that they were 50% off and some as low as $2.50. With a coupon that would make a great deal and I could pop that is a 'spa basket' gift with the revitalizer.

I think I am one of the only ones to do the Planters deal. I got a buy one get one free container of cashews and used two $1 coupons so each container of cashews was only about $1.75. I can't even find generic nuts for that cheap. The containers are going in my Disney snack bag! :thumbsup2

Went to four CVS stores, none of them had the Clearasil or the Neutrogena, nor the bandaids. Ugh!

Thanks for answering my question. :thumbsup2

Now I have another. Does anyone have problem with getting the Sobe coupons to print? I keep installing the coupon printer, and when I click on the PRINT button, it just keeps directing me to install the coupon printer. Anyone else have this problem, or more importantly, know how to fix it?

I have that problem all the time, too. I can't get anything to print from coupons.com. Do you run Vista, Tink? I do (and hate it). I'm wondering if that is the problem. :confused3:surfweb::confused3:surfweb:

My store didn't have the Neutrogena. The band-aids were not marked properly. I grabbed a box of the kids Transformers band-aids and scanned them. At the scanner they came up with the sale price even though it wasn't marked on the shelf. Also, there were no signs up at the Planters peanuts even though they were on sale.

I found the answer to my own question. In the 5/17 RP there is a coupon for 1.00 off any Dove face care product. That would bring the 50% off refills to only 1.50 which is a pretty good deal. If anyone though sees a BETTER deal let me know! :thumbsup2

Where are you in the suburbs of Philadelphia that you have 24 hr stores? I am in central Chester County and the 2 in my immediate area and the 1 near my work are regular hours to 10pm stores. None has a scanner either.

I am in Delaware County, the two 24 hour stores are both on Baltimore Pike in Springfield. The CVS in Broomall, in Lawrence Park shopping Center has a scanner, only one I know that does around here but that one is not a 24 hour store.

Whoo! Had a GREAT day at CVS today...I think I am finally getting the hang of this ECB thing. After an initial output of probably about $20 over several weeks just buying stuff that was free after ECBs and/or coupons, about 3 weeks ago there were 3 moneymaker deals (i.e. you get back more in ECBS than you paid or started with), and I thought, WOW, I can do this. Then, with the Neutrogena deal...well, here's my two transactions today:

#1
1 Revlon nail polish -- $3.99
1 Clearsil face wash -- $3.99
2 Speed Stick Pro -- $7.98
2 travel size Johnson & Johnson first aid kits -- $1.98
2 travel size St. Ives Apricot Scrub -- $2.98
----------------------------------------------
Total before coupons: $20.92

MINUS COUPONS
$4 off purchase of $20 CVS coupon (printed from coupon spitter-outter at the front of the store, which totally changed my game plan!)
$1 Revlon coupon
$2 Clearsil coupon
2 - $1.50 St Ives coupons (one was adjusted to $1.48)
2 - Johnson & Johnson Red Cross kit coupons (one was adjusted to $.98)
ECBs of $3, $3, and $2.96 (adjusted down from $3 due to sales tax)
----------------------------------------------
Total after coupons: $0.12 :banana::banana::banana:
Got back ECBs in the amounts of: $7.98, $3.99, $3 -- grew ECBs by $5.97

Then I went to another CVS to try to find the small tubes of Neutrogena. I found mine right inside the door, on an endcap display with some other Neutrogena products and some nail polish. They are 1oz Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 55, if that helps anyone to know what you're looking for. Like others have described, they were in a round plastic 'fishbowl' container. In Palm Bay, FL, they still had a bunch left, if anyone is in this area looking!

#2
2 Neutrogena -- $3.98
2 Bandaid -- $5.98
----------------------------------
Total before coupons: $9.96

MINUS COUPONS
2 - $1 Bandaid coupons
ECBs (earned in Transaction #1) $7.98
-----------------------------------
Total after coupons: $0 :banana::banana::banana:
Got ECBs back in the amounts of $10, $2, $2 -- grew ECBs by $6.00

So, today I got 12 items for a total of $0.12 out of pocket, plus $11.97 more ECBs than I started with when I left the house this morning. :cloud9:

Ask for a raincheck, they should give it to you, and on the raincheck they will put the ECBs, which when you redeem the rain check the cashier will force to print, so you don't lose the deal!

I did my first one of these with the 'force print' of the ECBs last week, and had no problems at all.

To those of you who are making multiple store runs for the 2 day deals, if they are out, GET A RAINCHECK. Even if you plan to go to another store, the raincheck can be used later or rolled into a good deal!!!

I had a raincheck for the quattro shaver, and I got it before I met my limit on the deal, even though I had met the limit, they will still print with the event code in raincheck form.

To all the sickies I hope they get better soon!!!

Has anyone been WAGSing? I had some mfc coupons for the toothbrushes that would have made them $0.25. I found a few of the (pink) overnights shorts clearanced to $2.78, so I did 1 toothbrush, 1 shorts, then used a coupon and a RR and it didn't spit out the RR. The next transacation didn't either. I've heard runmors you won't get a RR if you pay with one or use a coupon, but I've also heard that the RR machines were messed up... Anyone know?

I've learned the hard way trying to do the deals at Wags. I'm getting the hang of it now but it's really difficult compared to CVS imo. You can't use a RR on the same product in the next transaction and you can't use more coupons than you have items in a transaction. For example, let's say you buy Colgate for $2.99 and get a $2.99 (probably $3 the way they do it) RR. You can use a mfg. coupon on the Colgate. If you go in again for one more Colgate, you can't use the $3 RR they gave you on the first one. You have to use it for something else. Let's say you use it for deodorant and have a mfg. coupon to use on the deodorant. You can't use it combined with the toothpaste RR unless you have at least one filler in that transaction because they count the RR as a mfg. coupon so that would be two coupons on one product purchased which is not acceptable at WAGS. If you have a RR from a different product, you can use it and get another RR. I hope I explained that sort of clearly? It's confusing to say the least!! I really don't like their system.

You explained it clearly. Mine were $4.50 RR from last week and they didn't print maybe it was because they were from the colgate visable white and I tried to roll them into the toothbrushes, now that I think about it, that's probably why

I hope your DH recovers quickly Puffkin :wizard:.

That is really scary, I hope that continuing the IV antibiotics will be what gets this under control. He is in my thoughts and prayers, hang in there! Hope by tomorrow morning he is much better.

I went through all my coupons at home and didn't find any for refills, but I am sure that $1 off one should work as Dove products are coded pretty loosely. I did find a $3.50 online one for the actual unit: http://www.doveskinvitalizer.com/register.aspx

I'm so happy~~it took me three CVS's but I finally found the Neutrogena deal! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Like everyone has said, check near the cash registers on the front counter, the seasonal display for summertime stuff, and near the front area (usually off to the side of the cash registers) that has fragrance displays, etc.

Yay! Glad you got in on the deal, we haven't had anything really good like this for a long time

You did FANTASTIC!

I was having the same problems printing.....
If you are having trouble printing the Bricks coupons it is because the link you are clicking from is from a different browser than the one you are using. Somewhere in the link is wg&o or wi&o change the g to an i, or change the i to a g.
I hope that makes sense. Or just google bricks coupon troubleshooting for a more in depth answer from someone who actually knows what they are talking about. :goodvibes

I actually found the Neutrogena!:cool1: I usually have a hard time locating any of the "special" deals. In fact I almost convinced myself before going into the store that I would not find it, just so I would not be disappointed!:rotfl: Thanks so much for sharing!:goodvibes

LOL I've already convinced myself I won't find it, but I'll check at my other CVS's anyway. :rolleyes1

Whew, we didn't get back from up north until 10:45pm and I had to pop in the shower with my youngest (the boy has never been dirtier in his life!!!) and get him to bed before I could run to the 24 Hour CVS to get my 2 day deals. I made it with 15 minutes to spare!

I only had $4 ECB's so I had to pay just under $16 OOP but left with $17 ECB's so it was still a money maker. Here's what I did:

Transaction One
Cottonelle $5.49
Revlon Nail Color $3.99
Colgate Total Advance $2.99
Playtex Gentle Glide $3.99
Transformers Band-aids $ 2.99
Clearasil Daily Face Wash $3.99
Speedstick Pro Clean $3.99

-$5 off $25 purchase
-$1.00 Cottonelle Coupon
-$1.00 Revlon Coupon
-$1.00 Playtex Coupon
-$1.00 Band-aid Coupon
-$4.00 ECB's

OOP $15.54 and got back $23 ECB's

Transaction Two
Playtex Gentle Glide $3.99
Revlon Nail Color $3.99

-$1.00 Revlon Coupon
-$6.98 ECB's

OOP $0.06 and got back $6 ECB's.

I should have just gone ahead and grabbed all of the free stuff on DH's card too but I was stressed out about the time and didn't think of it. Doh!

I hope everyone's sick family members heal quickly!

I'm going to look for the Neutrogena and Aveeno deals tomorrow, and I'll do the St. Ives too.
