CVS Weekly 5/24-5/30

Can someone post a pix of the Neutrogena? I have scoured both stores and can't find anything like that or even a spot for it.

I did go back out to both stores this evening to look for them with no luck but I did find the Clearasil Face Wash that was not there this morning. Guess they restocked! :cool1:

LanaJae - Hope your DD has a quick recovery!!

It's TEENY TINY, think smaller than a hand cream you'd put in your purse. Almost Blistex sized. I looked on the sunscreen isle, but at my stores they were in small clear round tubs (one) in the makeup display area (Where the stand up product displays are, rounders)

<~ Mine looks like that package, just smaller

Someone posted a picture here. Post #20

I didn't know you had a daughter that age I guess. I thought she was a lot younger. Is that her in the picture from a few years back or a younger daughter? Poor kid~~sounds like she's really had a rough time of it. It must be a little strange having a child that looks totally different from before her surgery, but it sounds like she had some problems that really needed surgery to make life better for her.

LanaJae - that surgery sounds really painful! How is she dealing? 6 weeks of liquids? Wow. ((((hugs)))) to you and your dd.

LanaJae - Hope your DD has a quick recovery!!

Thanks :grouphug:

I have lots of kids ShiPooOwner lol, 4 + 2 stepkids (but they are adults now). The girl in the picture is my youngest (Lana), she's 8 now.

The liquid diet is not going very well, she weighed 99 lbs. before surgery and has already lost 5 lbs. It takes her 2 hours to eat a small amount and then it's time to start again so it's exhausting for her. They gave us these big syringes with a cut-off catheter on the end so the opening is way smaller than a straw and she can't have anything that can't be sucked up through that. We've been trying every food under the sun, her favorite was hotdogs - I had to blender them for a long time with beef broth and then use a strainer and then add more broth to get it thin enough.

I did learn something interesting from Mayo - Carnation Instant Breakfast is way more nutritious than all of the other prepared drinks and it costs much less. I still had a box left from that CVS deal.

The expired coupons were from inserts. I had used all my printables for the cereal last time the deal was offered for BOGOF so I decided to use the insert coupons which were for $1 off. My DH loves that cereal so I bought four boxes and paid for two but planned to use four coupons too. Nope, the machine beeped I guess. Same thing with the Speed Stick. Thought maybe it was just going to happen at one store, but it happened at the other one too. I didn't mind so much about the Speed Stick but I don't like paying over $2 for a box of cereal even if it's DH's favorite!! ;)

That is so weird that they wouldn't take them, Woodbury sure will so check to see if they have it when you go there. The district manager says that every store here is supposed to take expired up to a few months back.

I hope everyone finds the Neutrogena sunscreen! I had bought several of them during the buy $15, get $5 ECB sale because they worked out cheaper per ounce than the full size. It's a really good sunscreen, feels dry and soaks in well.

Thanks. I will go look again tomorrow. I looked on all the endcaps and displays but didn't see anything like that. Darn.

Clarabelle -
I went to FH and they had the display for the Neutrogena but it was empty. :headache: I even asked and they said they were out since it was a sample size. (Although, who knows, sometimes employees make up some interesting answers.)

I also did not see any in Falls. but may have just not been able to find it.

Good luck, let me know if you see any!

Oh Lana Jae....hope your DD is able to keep eating and feels well soon! That just sounds so painful

I will have to look for the neutrogena tomorrow, I didn't see these posts til I got home tonight from two picnics.

Update on DH and the dumb softball injury....we spent 8 hours in the ER Friday and they did xrays, an ultrasound and bloodwork. Luckily the xrays/ultrasound came back fine, but he has a pretty bad infection so he was put on IV antibiotics. Came home with an rx for more antibiotics and pain meds (yeah double rx bucks!), but his leg is getting worse and he can't walk. Plus his ankle swelled like a balloon and is all red and painful. If it isn't better by the morning, back to the ER we go :sad2:

Lana Jae - Hope your daughter feels better soon. Missed you on these threads lately. :flower3:

Puffkin - Hope your husband gets well soon too. Men :sad2: - my DH plays softball too, so silly sometimes.

Hi! I went to 4 different CVS's today and in each one I looked for the Neutrogena sun screen and I found it in 2 of the stores and I thought maybe I could help some of you track it down in your store. I noticed that I only saw it in the bigger CVS stores, the 24 hour one's here. It was in 2 different places in each store but in both it was in a round plastic cylinder on the shelves, almost looked like a goldfish bowl but plastic. The one store it wa sin the regular sun care isle not the seasonal and in the other it was on a display shelf right as you enter that had alot of make-up display in plastic displays and alot of High school musical type make-up stuff( I hope that makes sense, tween lip gloss type of stuff) it wa sin the make-up section and it was the only sun care there but it was near other plastic round cylinders. I was shocked I found this and then when I went into another for a perscription tonight andI was shocked when I spotted it again in that store. You all have helped me so much that I wanted to tell you all I noticed about where it was so everyone could get the extra bucks. You know I really like the group here everyone helps one another.
P. S. the stores I went to are in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

I had major surgery on my jaw and was wired shut like your DD. It is the most miserable thing anyone can do to you! I hope they warned you that even when the major effects of the surgery are over, she will tire easily. That is because you really can't breathe as well with your jaw wired shut. I had dreams about eating! I never could deal with blendered/strained food. It was just nasty to me. I pretty much lived on Carnation Instant Breakfast, chocolate milkshakes, chicken broth and watered down tomato soup.

Good luck to your DD - having jaw problems is not fun. I hope she has a great outcome. The first meal when you get unwired isn't as good as you would think either - like any joint you haven't used in a long time, it is still very difficult to chew so you are doing soft foods for several days. It was worth it in the end for me though.

It depends on how old the raincheck is for. They used to price adjust the item for you. For example if you had something that was free after ecb's you would get it for free then, no cash payout. And you could still use a coupon and get the overage on another item. Now, with the # by ecb offer I think they can 'force' print the ecb buck for you if it is out of the promotional period.

Hope this makes sense and helps.

Thanks for answering my question. :thumbsup2

Now I have another. Does anyone have problem with getting the Sobe coupons to print? I keep installing the coupon printer, and when I click on the PRINT button, it just keeps directing me to install the coupon printer. Anyone else have this problem, or more importantly, know how to fix it?

Where are you in the suburbs of Philadelphia that you have 24 hr stores? I am in central Chester County and the 2 in my immediate area and the 1 near my work are regular hours to 10pm stores. None has a scanner either.

It worked fine for me. I'm using Firefox, sometimes those coupon printers have problems depending on which browser you use

Thanks and I am sorry to hear about your husband! Is it any better today? You'd think that the IV antibiotics would have worked really fast, sounds awful!

I missed you too! She slept a few hours longer today which meant that everyone else got some more sleep too so things are looking up.

Thanks, I know I sure wouldn't want to go through this, sorry you had to too. I can tell that it's a very vivid memory and I'll prepare her for her first real meal. I thought she'd be wired shut, but the surgeons said they quit doing that, it's all held together on the inside with metal plates and screws now, but she has rubber bands that hold her teeth together, they are hooked on her braces. She can take them off to rinse with salt water, but the feeling scares her.

Yes, just one $10 extra bucks on each card. Dang it anyhow lol

I'm so happy~~it took me three CVS's but I finally found the Neutrogena deal! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Like everyone has said, check near the cash registers on the front counter, the seasonal display for summertime stuff, and near the front area (usually off to the side of the cash registers) that has fragrance displays, etc.
