Yup, I did something similar except I also got the speedstick but didn't have the Clearasil coupons (still free though). Every week you take the ECB's from the prior week and use them to pay for the current weeks deals. This is called "rolling". The goal is to break your transactions down to not pay much OOP.

Per HCW, a poster stated that they bought two tubes of Neutrogena Ultra SPF 55, 1.0 oz at 1.99 each, and received a $10 ECB.

Sometimes I do two different transactions if I'm running low on ECBs and I want to keep my OOP low.

For example - my plan for today (I only have $13 in ECBs, but want to buy more than that worth of stuff):

Clearasil
Revlon nail color
Playtex
Bandaid (2)
Speed Stick Pro
Should cost just over $20.
Use $4/$20
-$5 in coupons for those items
-$13 in ECBs (all I have)
Get back $18.97 in ECBs
OOP should be under $1

Then buy:

Colgate Total
Schick Disp razors
Neutrogena
St. Ives
Post Trail Mix
Speed Stick Pro
Should cost around $15
Use $4.50 in coupons
Use $10 in ECBs from above
Get back $$16 in ECBs
Again, OOP should be less than $1

So, I walk in with $13 in ECBs and use them all in the first transaction, but make back more to use in my second transaction. If I've done my math right, I walk out with nearly $25 in ECBs - so I made $12! I just hope everything works out right!

Hi LanaJae! Welcome back! :) I didn't know your daughter was having surgery at Mayo. Glad to hear she's doing well but sounds like a long recovery with the end of the year off school. Will she have homebound instruction for the last couple weeks? Hope it all goes well for her. :flower3:

I looked for the Neutrogena and couldn't find it. Is it in with the travel sizes? Woodbury store? I didn't look there of course. Glad to hear they let you use the expired Q's for Speed Stick Pro. They wouldn't let me use them for those or for the Post Trail Mix cereal at Maplewood or Mahtomedi today. I was bummed. :guilty:

Peggy (nice cashier from Mahtomedi) is helping to get the new Woodbury store ready for its opening on June 26th. Her last day is sometime this week and then she heads to the new store. Hope they have some grand opening specials at the new store.

Does anyone know if the Craig DVD/CD player selling for $49.xx Sun/Mon only is any good? I'm just not very knowledgeable about electronics in general. :confused3 My $5/30 would bring it down to $44.xx but don't want to invest in it if it's poor quality. :confused3

I got one of their DVD players (not as fancy as this one) a while ago and it was a piece of junk, it would only play some movies and would lock up on others.

I am interested in that portable TV, but I am worried that might be junky too, I think Office Depot has the same one for a better price - if I somehow got a good $/$$ coupon, I think I would try it.

Hi!

uh oh, are you saying they won't take expired coupons anymore? Were they online printables or from inserts?

I am excited about the new store! Can't wait - I like Peggy too.

The trial Neutrogena were moved to the sunscreen aisle by the candy at Woodbury, they are in a little round clear plastic tub on the top shelf. Some other store had a full tub a few weeks ago too, but I can't remember which one.

My daughter is 17 and does that PSEO thing where you go to college for your last 2 years of high school so she was done with school two days before her surgery. They took apart both her top and bottom jaw in 2 pieces each, rebuilt them and then screwed and plated them back together, plus rebuilt the inside of her nose. It was a congenital problem (have to add this - on her dad's side lol), but couldn't be fixed until a year after she was done growing. She hasn't been able to close her mouth for the last few years and that was causing lots of other problems like apnea and nasal issues while sleeping, etc. She could enter the witness protection program - I have an entirely new child, it is hard to adjust to, even the shape of her eyes is different now.

I did the deal on three diffrent cards, and it worked like a charm.
1.99(2)= 3.98
- 2.00 - CVS q for any Neutrogena Cosmetic
1.98- paid w/ a 2 ECB earned $10 ECB

I'll have to check out that Neutrogena at your Woodbury store if it's still there tomorrow.

I didn't know you had a daughter that age I guess. I thought she was a lot younger. Is that her in the picture from a few years back or a younger daughter? Poor kid~~sounds like she's really had a rough time of it. It must be a little strange having a child that looks totally different from before her surgery, but it sounds like she had some problems that really needed surgery to make life better for her.

The expired coupons were from inserts. I had used all my printables for the cereal last time the deal was offered for BOGOF so I decided to use the insert coupons which were for $1 off. My DH loves that cereal so I bought four boxes and paid for two but planned to use four coupons too. Nope, the machine beeped I guess. Same thing with the Speed Stick. Thought maybe it was just going to happen at one store, but it happened at the other one too. I didn't mind so much about the Speed Stick but I don't like paying over $2 for a box of cereal even if it's DH's favorite!! ;)

That's the second bad report now on it so I don't think I will get it. Thanks for the info from LanaJae and JustMickey about it. :thumbsup2

LanaJae - that surgery sounds really painful! How is she dealing? 6 weeks of liquids? Wow. ((((hugs)))) to you and your dd.

I couldn't find the $1.99 Neutrogena sunscreen. I looked all over the place too! But, I found a $5/$30 and sucked up the cost of two of the $7.49 sunscreen and still think I got a pretty good deal.

Today, I got $69 worth of stuff in three different transactions and spent $1.10 OOP! I went in with $13 in ECBs and walked out with $18.49!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Worked for me too.

LOOK for those little things, I found them on the make up rounders in a little clear tub not on the sun care isle

I think I'll have to go back. Seems like most of you are finding them in round bins. Is this part of the 2-day thing? Or do I have all week to take advantage of it?

I also could not find the Neutrogena...i'll keep looking!

This was the 1st time i paid oop...i only had 11in ecb's on 1 card and wanted to use a 5/30 so i paid $9oop!! but i walked out w/ about 23 in ecbs!. funny to think that at the beginning of the year i had about $75ecbs..

On my other card i had 6 ecb's so i just kept rolling them think i have 7ecbs now...

lisa

Happy Memorial Day Ladies..

Also on Clearance for 1.75 is Aveeno Acne Facial Soap Bar...and i had 1.50 off coupons (i think from a tear pad - a while back..) so it cost .25c i got the last two!
