Cvs weekly 3/7-3/13

There is a Biore deal if anyone is interested. The nose strips are on sale for $5.99. There is a coupon in this week's paper for a FREE Biore cleanser w/ purchase of the nose strips (up to $9). On the cleanser there was a peelie coupon for $2 off any Biore product. So, for $3.99 you get the nose strips and the cleasner. Look for the nose strips that have a bonus 2 strips and the cleanser that has 25% more free.
Hope this deal helps someone!:goodvibes

I got the 20% postcard also. I used it today and saved a whopping $1 on my $30 purchase. When I asked the manager about it, she looked over my receipt and the coupon and said that it EXCLUDES ALL SALE ITEMS! Boo!! Why do they call it an EXTRA SAVINGS, if I dont save EXTRA?:confused3

Thank you! :worship: Now, do you stand there and buy them in multiple transactions or do you buy 1 transaction and come back the next day for another?

It kind of depends on how comfortable you are as to how you approach it. It's totally legit to do it all at one store in one trip. However, if it's busy and there's a line of people, I'd get out of line for each separate transaction and let the others go first to avoid bad vibes/stares/comments! It kind of depends on how friendly the cashier is, too, but that's just my opinion. I really try to hit my CVS when I know it's not going to be busy, but sometimes I just feel better going there on different days to do my separate transactions if there are a lot of shoppers in the store and the cashier is really busy or stressed. My DH and I both have cards so I wind up being one of the regulars at CVS during good deal weeks. HTH!

Please let us know how it goes for you! :thumbsup2

Not sure about Philadelphia but in Cleveland it comes in the mail on 'junk mail' Tuesday along with the grocery ads. Not sure why but it started months ago here. :confused3 All our other coupons still come in the Sunday newspaper.

Hi! Thank-You, Someone at my daughters school mentoned that but so far it is not in our ads that come with the junk mail.
Thanks,
PammyPoppins

I get the Phila Inq - no Red Plum. I live in Chester County and I get the Red Plum insert along with all the grocery store ads in the mail each Thursday. My MIL lives in the town next to me but does not receive the RedPlum insert with her grocery store ads. She is in another zip code so we figure it is a zip code thing.

My Sunday local newspaper - Daily Local News out of West Chester - does contain the Red Plum whenever it is an insert so you might want to check one of your local Sunday papers. My local Sunday paper is now containing the P&G insert each time it comes out also.

Thank-You that is a good idea, I will check the local Sunday Paper. it is not in our grocery ads but I heard in some areas it is. We live in Delaware County. I see you mentioned West Chester, my daughter just grauated from west Chester Univ. last spring. We live in Sprinfield.
Thanks,
pammyPoppins

Hi all ! As I am also starting to learn about CVS and their reward program, I was wondering if I can do this :

Transaction 1 :
Venus Embrace $8.99 - $2 manufacturer coupon receive $4 ECB
Oral B Toothbrush X 2 $8 gets $8 ECB
Total ECB for transaction 1 = $12

Transaction 2 :
Clearblue Pregnancy Test $ 12.99 - $12 ECB from Transaction #1 gets ECB $5
Tide $5.88 - $1 coupon gets $ 1 ECB
Total ECB for Transaction 2 = $ 6

Transaction 3 :
Swifter Starter Kit $8.99 - $1 coupon - $ 6 ECB from Transaction #2

Thanks for your help !

Sounds like a great plan to me! :thumbsup2

Just a heads up on another possible source for Oral B toothbrush coupons. I came across a tear pad at the dentist's office when I took my son for his cleaning earlier this week. They are for $2 off any Oral B crossaction brush. They don't expire until 6/30/10. This will make the deal a moneymaker next week! Yeah.

Thanks to Flaky for posting the deals once again.

I picked some of these up the last time and was hollering with excitement this morning! Don't know why I was so excited but I sure was :-)

Thanks! My store is always dead inside - maybe 2-3 cars in the lot at a time. Anytime I go inside I have to hunt down a person to check me out  So hopefully they will be okay with me just doing it all there at one time.

Hi everyone. I was down to my last box of cereal (I am a cereal junkie) so this was a great week for me! On my 2 cards I did the cereal deal 3 times (need to go back and get the last 4 boxes), Nivea and toothbrushes. I used a variety of coupons for the cereal, $1 q's for the toothbrushes and $1 of any Nivea coupons. I didn't notice until I got home but the Nivea coupon said Any Nivea product 2.0 oz- 12 oz or something like that, and the lip balm is much smaller, but they scanned through with no issues. Oops!

At Rite Aid I only could find one deal worth doing which was the John Frieda deal using the $3 coupons from the inserts this weekend.

This looks like a good start. Do you have any Oral B coupns? I had .75 ones from my paper but others had 1.00 ones. Also with the Venus embrace, if you have the coupon that says "Buy venus embrace get free Olay body wash", you can add a body wash for no more out of pocket.

If you have no ECB to start out with, I would do the toothbrushes one at a time and use the $4 ECB from the first to pay for the second. It means less money OOP to start with. Then maybe use that to do the Venus deal. But then you would only have $4 ECB for the pregnancy test deal. So you would have to pay $8 OOP for that deal anyway. So maybe not that much of a difference in the end.

But then I would use that $5 from the pregnancy test to do the Tide. Again, its less money OOP.

But, it may be easier when just starting out to just buy it as you listed and then you wouldn't have to do so many transactions.

I recommend you go get the toothbrushes ASAP. They will sell out fast since they are free. My store only had about 4 left (at least out on the shelves) when I went Sunday around 11 am.

They BOGO toothbrush coupon worked for me. I paid $4.00 for two toothbrushes and got $8.00 ECB back! You might want to try it.

Also, the CVS ad has the "look for coupons in the paper" icon by the Almay BOGO, but I couldn't find that coupon anywhere! Did anyone else have better luck?

Thanks

I tried the BOGO toothbrush coupon at both CVS and neither would take it, so it definitely is a YMMV.

We never get Almay coupons in our inserts, so I was shocked to see one this week. It was only $1 off, but I usually never get the Almay ones. We only recently started getting the Revlon coupons. It is really weird how they are so regional!

Thanks, Maggie ! Well, I looked and looked and couldn't find any coupons in my Sunday paper for the toothbrushes. Thanks for the tips though..I guess I'll have to run to CVS today and try to grab those toothbrushes !

The coupons for the OB cross action were from February's P&G insert. This months P&G insert had b1g1 on a different OB toothbrush.

Just back and my store had a *separate* free-standing cardboard display of toothbrushes right in the dental aisle. They also took my BOGO coupon :thumbsup2

Question for y'all, and I'm sure this has been discussed so forgive me -

I finally bought the Green Tag. Can I use it on more than one card, like both my card and DHs card, or will the register beep?

You can the same one on both cards. That is what I do :thumbsup2

I usually don't do back to back transactions at the same CVS, but if you do they will probably only scan the tag once but YMMV. I go to two different CVS (do the deals on my card at one, then drive down the street and do the deals there on my other card) so I have no problems using it for both cards.

Is there a specific zip code to put in to get the $1.50 Kellogg's coupon? I was only able to get a $1. I don't have "offer limit reached" listed, so I thought I might try this again.

This was a good week for me. I got the free toothbrushes and Nivea, a bunch of fig newtons and Oreos, Pepsis and a 99-cent Fusion (I have three boys and a DH, and buy cartridges by buying new razors). I still need to get a Dawn hand renewal. The Cover Girl would also be a good deal with the BOGO -- you'd pay half the price of one for two.
