Cvs weekly 3/7-3/13

Not sure if this has been posted yet but today at CVS my DD6 (boy do I have her trained :rotfl2:) spotted a deal on Carefree pads and liners. They are $3.99 a pkg and then you get $2 ECB. They was a $1.00 off coupon on most of the pkgs making them 99 cents. The tag said it is a month long special with a limit 4 offers per household.

Nope, I didn't get a postcard or email but I never do anymore. I don't even get coupons on the scanner anymore with the exception of GE candy. :headache: I think I'm on their "do not under any circumstances give this CVSer anything good" list.

My plan for later today:

4 Kelloggs cereals 4/10 Use 1.50/2 IP's. Get 5 ECB's. Makes them .50 each.
4 Lindt Truffles 2/$6 Use 4 coupons (-$4) Buy $10/get $3 ECB's
2 Oral B Cross Action toothbrushes (limit 2) $4 each and get $4 ECB's for each one. Use .75 coupons on each. Makes it a 1.50 mm for two (minus tax).
2 Nivea Lip Care $2.99/2.99 ECB. (Limit 1) Using BOGOF coupon. Makes both free.

I'll post later what actually occurred. You know what they say about best laid plans........ :rotfl:

I'm back from my CVS run. I went to LanaJae's and my fav CVS that has the greatest mgr. and cashiers working there. They turn the Sunday ad on on Saturday which makes it even better because then everything is in stock. :woohoo: Here's what I bought:

4 Lindt Truffles 12.00 and used 4 mfg. $1 Q's =$8 with 3 ECB's back

4 Kelloggs Raisin Bran 10.00 and used two $1.50/2 IP's = $7 with $5 ECB's back

1 Soft Soap body wash (last week's ad still good today) $4.99 and used $1.00 Q from All You magazine = $3.99 with $4 ECB's back

2 Oral B Cross Action toothbrushes $8.00 and used 2 .75 Q's = $6.50 with $8.00 ECB's back

2 Nivea Pearly Lip Balms @2.99 each using BOGOF Q = $2.99 with $2.99 ECB's back

1 Dawn Hand Renewal .97 and used $1 Q from a home mailer = free but no ECB's back

Used $5/20 Q (expired but this store still accepts it) and 19.00 in ECB's. Paid for balance with $4.20 on CVS gift card plus .25 cash. Got back $22.99 ECBs.

Hey Friends! I have wanted to start CVSing but the last few weeks didn't look promising but this week seems to have a better array of stuff. Can someone help me plan my first visit? We honestly don't use many drugstore brands, though I would like to buy the Pantene, Nivea, and pregnancy tests IF they will work with the CVSing strategy this week.

I use CVS for all my rx and get lots of ECB there but never use them - they just expire. I'd like to start CVSing and donate most of the stuff to our community ministries center - we always need lots of drugstore items. I think that if I do this right I will be able to make my few dollars go a lot further in buying toiletries and such for the center. I hope!

Can someone help me figure out what I need to buy this week to get started? I do not have any ECBs or coupons on hand (they all expired, I just checked!). And if they involve the pantene, nivea, and pregancy tests then great. If not, no problem.

Thank you! :worship:

First, check with your store. Some will accept expired ECB's and expired mfg. Q's, but some won't so ask first and don't throw them away just yet.

You could start small the first week with 1 Nivea and pay $2.99 OOP and get $2.99 back in ECB's. Transaction #2, you could buy 2 Oral B Cross Action toothbrushes and pay with $2.99 ECB and $5.01 OOP and get $8 back in ECB's. In a third transaction you could then apply the $8 ECB's to the pregnancy tests if you wanted to put a bit more OOP into play. In a final transaction you could apply the $5 ECBs from the pregnancy test to the Pantene plus a little more OOP. Just one idea on how to do it. You will want to start accumulating mfg. coupons to get better deals and if your store has a red scanner, scan your CVS card for coupons from it because then you can combine them with mfg. coupons for even a better deal. :thumbsup2

i just got this coupon -- went to the dentist and they put it in my little toothbrush goody bag.!

I obviously go to the wrong dentist because all I got was a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss!!! Where's my coupon!??! :lmao:

PS. I don't know why the thumbs down appeared on my post??? I must have accidently clicked that and now I don't know how to remove it!

Togay's P&G insert had a BOGOF coupon for the Oral B coupons. So will i get $8 in ECBs when i buy 2? I has gad a $5 off 2 Clairol hair color so that would be BOGOF with $2 ECB.

I have to look to see if I have the Nivea coupons.

I hve $10 of ECBs to shop with today.

If this is so I'll do toothbrushes, Nivea lipcare (which we love) and Colgate toothpaste. BOGOF and a coupon. That should be $10. and I'll get $11.99 back.

I'm excited b/c we are getting a new store!!

:lmao: I was just wondering about the thumbs down. Thought they looked like pretty good deals for a thumbs down. :rotfl2:

Here's a better answer to your question: Not unless your CVS accepts the coupon for the CrossAction Oral-B toothbrushes.

Wow! A DD who can spot Carefree deals. That's something! :lmao:

Did anyone notice if Raisin Bran Crunch is included in the sale? I love that stuff!

The b1g1 coupon is NOT for the toothbrushes on the EB deal. At our CVS, the b1g1 brushes are 2 for $6.00 with no ebs.

My big deal was to purchase two Gillette deodorant at $3.99 ea, get $1eb back each for a total of 2ebs. Then I used the $4 off 2 deodorant coupons, so oop of $3.98. I then used two of the buy 1 Gillette deodorant get 1 body wash free. Each body wash was $4.99 each. So $17.96 worth of product (also good towards my $50 pg coupon rebate) for $3.98 and 2ebs.

I also got a print out coupon from cvs on skippy PB $1 off 2) which was on sale for 2/$3. I bought 2 fruit loop 2 apple jack using the $1.50 coupons. Used two $0.75 coupons on the oral b action toothbrushes. Didn't realize the dawn renewal would be on sale or I would have used the $0.50 off coupons for those instead of only $0.25 coupons. I also got a bounce bar (using $1.50 coupon) tampax using $2.00 coupon. Ended up oop $33.59 (only had 6ebs to roll over this week), saved 52.74 and picked up$17 ebs

The cheapest almay I could find today was $5.99, so not worth it to me. Would be a relatively good deal if you use this makeup. Good week! The Nivea lip balms are really good too.

You're right. I forgot which Oral-B was on sale with the ECB's. It's the Oral-B Cross Action toothbrushes that will earn the ECB's and they're not listed on that coupon in today's P&G. :upsidedow

The Philadelphia Inquirer no longer has the Red Plum insert. Does anyone know why it is not in the Sunday Paper anymore?
Thanks,
PammyPoppins

My CVS had the Oral B Cross Action and I had two $1 coupons so they were a money maker for me. They also still had the Nivea lip balm so I got that free as well.

My niece wanted a new Venus Embrace razor which had a coupon in today's paper to go along with the sale and ECB's. And I used a coupon for a free Olay Body wash ($7.49) when you buy a Venus Embrace razor. So I did pretty good on that one.

Thank you! :worship: Now, do you stand there and buy them in multiple transactions or do you buy 1 transaction and come back the next day for another?

Not sure about Philadelphia but in Cleveland it comes in the mail on 'junk mail' Tuesday along with the grocery ads. Not sure why but it started months ago here. :confused3 All our other coupons still come in the Sunday newspaper.

Yeah. The cheapest I could find was $6.99. The ad says PSA $1.99. What could possibly be $1.99???

I get the Phila Inq - no Red Plum. I live in Chester County and I get the Red Plum insert along with all the grocery store ads in the mail each Thursday. My MIL lives in the town next to me but does not receive the RedPlum insert with her grocery store ads. She is in another zip code so we figure it is a zip code thing.

My Sunday local newspaper - Daily Local News out of West Chester - does contain the Red Plum whenever it is an insert so you might want to check one of your local Sunday papers. My local Sunday paper is now containing the P&G insert each time it comes out also.
