Cvs Weekly 10/4-10/10

just popping in to see whats going on here w/cvs..LanaJae so sorry to hear about you teeth having to be pulled. When i was pregnant w/both my kids, they diagnosed me w/autoimmune disease after having a few miscarriages, so w/each pregnancy i had to be on prednisone and heparin! Have a speedy recovery..and hope your daughter is doing better as well.

lisa

Thanks Lisa! I wasn't expecting the teeth thing, what a mess! My neighbor had to do that same thing as you when she was pregnant too. I got sick when I was pregnant but never recovered/went in remission, I think it was payback for having a baby past age 35 lol

My daughter is doing so great, thank you!, she just turned 18 a few days ago. Thankfully her changing has leveled off now but then she went and did all kinds of things like switched from glasses to contacts and got highlights in her hair, I shouldn't have to ask my kid "who are you again?" :rotfl:

missing you all - I had 14 teeth pulled due to long-term medication damage for autoimmune disease and root fractures, etc. from poor health. I won't be in CVS for a few weeks, not leaving the house, am still in screaming pain.

Fourteen teeth?! We missed you here! Feel better soon, LanaJae.

Welcome to the DIS! :goodvibes And yes, I'd love a PM! TIA!

Yes, I'd love it as a PM!! Thanks all! :goodvibes

I can't send a PM until I reach 10 posts...This should be 9

LanaJae, I hope you are feeling better soon!

Thank you! I was going to live in shame for the rest of my life about this and keep it a secret but now I just decided to tell people - I am going to have false teeth. They pulled all the top teeth out. They were breaking off at the gum, etc., it was almost a relief to get them out as I was throwing money at my teeth and they'd last another 2-6 mos. and then break again or whatever. Thankfully they can save the bottoms for now and I already have bridges and crowns on some of those that are holding up.

The best thing to do would have been to get implants, but they are way too expensive and x's 14 is like buying a house. I have a very good dental doctor, I don't know what he's called but he's a specialist in this stuff and he does it different, I have one set of teeth for 6 mos. and then another set later. I sure don't know how I'm ever going to eat anything besides soup again though, it makes no sense to me right now. I have been having a lot of problems with pain and inflammation now but hopefully that will settle down in the next week or so. This is all pretty ironic after what my daughter just went through, but luckily she will only improve.

Hope you feel better soon, LanaJae! Nothing to be embarassed about with your teeth. You gotta do what you gotta do. No one will even know unless you take them out at parties for a party trick!! And think, now you will have a use for all of those great Polident CVS deals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maggie

Is there a printable CVS new or transfer prescription coupon? The other one already expired and I need one for either this week or next. Too bad Walgreens never offers these like CVS does regularly. That's usually where I fill our scripts. I refuse to pay $5 for 1 coupon off ebay. Those prices are insane.

OMG Lanajae! I hope you are feeling better soon! When do they say the swelling will go down?

I'm trying to figure out how to attach the pdf but haven't got it right yet. I have it as a pdf though if you want to pm me I will send it to you.

Thanks, got it! :goodvibes

It printed blurry but I think / hope they'll still take it.

Wow, LanaJae. What an ordeal! My thoughts are with you!!!!! I'd make you some soup if I were closer  So glad to hear your daughter is doing well though!

And don't be ashamed about the dentures. If you need any denture coupons or even any denture items, just PM me. Rite Aid has had a few deals and I have stuff in my basement I can send you!

I've printed it from 4 different computer/ printer combinations straight from the website and still can't get one that's not blurry! If I get one that's not, I'll send it to you too. :thumbsup2

Mine was blurry, too, and they did accept it last night. They just typed it in. It will probably be hit or miss with the cashier! :rotfl: They took that one but would not take my $1 Revlon Q's.

Sorry you have to go through that Lanajae. I had my 4 wisdom teeth out and that was traumatic enough. I kept passing out from seeing the blood! How did I make it through childbirth?

Feel better. Make sure you take your pain meds!

OMG! My stepfather has had a bunch of teeth pulled. He technically only has one tooth left in the front on top. He also has some molars. But my mom is constantly telling him to put his teeth in. He looks a little freaky with just that one tooth. But another family friend had to have her teeth pulled and got dentures. It was done the same way. One set till all the swelling settled and the bones were what they were gonna be and then the next set. She looks so much better. She had really bad teeth before and now her dentures are nice, straight, pretty teeth.

Good luck!:yay:

Okay Ladies..

I have been following for a few weeks now and have started my journey to CVS'ing. I have enjoyed following along and learning from the "experts"! I have a rookie question now.

Is there a "trick" to the order in which you present the coupons? For example if I doing a deal in which I have to spend $20 in order to get 10ECB and have coupons do I give the coupons at the end ( sort of an afterthought) ? Because I want to reach the $20 faster without the subtraction of the coupon amount ? I apologize if I am not making any sense but I am thinking if I use the coupons , I would need to buy more items before reaching the $20.

Thanks for any help or advice, I am still learning!:worship:

Is is just me or are the CRT's that are printing this last week weird? I got $4 off Coppertone on both my and DH's cards. I also got $2 off CVS spray suntan lotion and $2 off Huggies Little Swimmers. Didn't CVS get the message? Summer is over, LOL!

The $20 purchase is before coupons. The cashier will ring up the products and if your subtotal is $20, then I would give coupons (if you have all of these that is) in the following order: $/$$, CVS coupons, mfg. coupons, and ECB's. I have heard some people do the mfg. coupons last but knowing me, I'd get stuck with them and not be able to use them.
