Cvs Weekly 10/4-10/10

Can someone please post how I can print out the 3.00 off of 15.00 dollar purchase coupon Thank you

Hope you feel better soon, LanaJae! Nothing to be embarassed about with your teeth. You gotta do what you gotta do. No one will even know unless you take them out at parties for a party trick!! And think, now you will have a use for all of those great Polident CVS deals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maggie

OMG Lanajae! I hope you are feeling better soon! When do they say the swelling will go down?

wow LanaJae, adding my best wishes, too. Feel better!

:hug::sad1:o honey....hope you r better real soon:flower3:

Wow, LanaJae. What an ordeal! My thoughts are with you!!!!! I'd make you some soup if I were closer  So glad to hear your daughter is doing well though!

And don't be ashamed about the dentures. If you need any denture coupons or even any denture items, just PM me. Rite Aid has had a few deals and I have stuff in my basement I can send you!

Lana feel better!

ow ow OWWW! I'm so sorry to hear about that LanaJae! Feel better soon.

Sorry you have to go through that Lanajae. I had my 4 wisdom teeth out and that was traumatic enough. I kept passing out from seeing the blood! How did I make it through childbirth?

Feel better. Make sure you take your pain meds!

OMG! My stepfather has had a bunch of teeth pulled. He technically only has one tooth left in the front on top. He also has some molars. But my mom is constantly telling him to put his teeth in. He looks a little freaky with just that one tooth. But another family friend had to have her teeth pulled and got dentures. It was done the same way. One set till all the swelling settled and the bones were what they were gonna be and then the next set. She looks so much better. She had really bad teeth before and now her dentures are nice, straight, pretty teeth.

Good luck!:yay:

:grouphug: Awe thanks everyone!!! :grouphug:

Maggie - no party tricks for me! The difference between teeth in/teeth out is shocking.

I was thinking the same about CVS and Polident, etc. but they said that no one needs that stuff - if you need it, something wasn't done right.

Lexxiefern, they don't know when the swelling will go down, I was pretty depressed about it on Mon. when I was back in and the doctor said... we don't measure recovery in terms of days, we measure in terms of weeks :scared1: I hope it's soon

puffkin, that is so sweet! After this, I think I don't ever want to see another bowl of soup in my life :rotfl2: Wouldn't you know, all I think about is steak and popcorn, the two most impossible things to have.

fofina, that is good to hear about your family friend, I hope it's the same with me. Even the temp. teeth are very nice and you can't tell they aren't real, I don't look right to me, but it's because of the swelling. Even though this was 14 teeth, it was better than when I got my wisdom teeth out when I was 18, that was a nightmare.

I hope I answered everyone, I am loopy from lack of sleep, I sleep a few min. then wake up and so on - half the time I don't know if it's day or night when I look at the clock.

Thanks again :) (sorry for the hijack)

Is is just me or are the CRT's that are printing this last week weird? I got $4 off Coppertone on both my and DH's cards. I also got $2 off CVS spray suntan lotion and $2 off Huggies Little Swimmers. Didn't CVS get the message? Summer is over, LOL!

They did this last year too, it was strange. They didn't clearance out sunscreen here this year and I was looking at it and much will expire by the end of next year, not that those dates mean a lot.

panfan, I am with ShiPooOwner on the order, it used to make a difference but now it's hit or miss. I've had good luck cutting into the tax by having an extra buck adjusted down a few cents - if I can get a $10 one adjusted to $9.9-something at the end, I can often save up to $2 in tax depending on what I buy.

Just know that as long as the products add up to whatever the amount is before coupons, you are good and will earn your extra buck - sometimes coupons can cover the entire cost of a deal before extra bucks (rare these days). The registers are programmed well and would even take a $5/25 coupon if you gave every other coupon first and were down to $5-something before tax.

Just keeping us on the front! See how much we all miss you LanaJae? We are forced to keep bumping!:goodvibes

.

Hope you're doing better today LanaJae!

Can you or someone explain a bit more about the tax thing? Two times my OOP total was 2.xx, I give the clerk $1 ECB and it was STILL 2 something!? It only took two times before I finally got it :rolleyes1 but it still made me mad that I seemed to waste $1!

Hope that made sense. So how can you avoid that, just pay if its less than $2-3?

I am a bumper, aren't I lol

I had to get another prescription today so my husband brought me to CVS, I bought Tone bar soap for $1.88, used a $1 IP and got a $1 extra buck and then I bought some Kotex pantiliners (I never thought I would be posting in public about buying pantiliners - what happened to me????) for $3 and used a $1 mfg., a $1.50 CRT and a $2 CVS coupon and then I bought some junk to coverage the overage (individual nail polish remover pads).

Hope you're doing better today LanaJae!

Thanks :) I had a bad night, apparently I had an abscessed tooth long before I had them pulled and it had pooled under my eye, close to my ear. It broke last night and the details are too gross, but I am now on some heavy antibiotics. It might be why I continue to have so much pain.

I wish I could explain the tax thing so that you could get a lower OOP, but I am having the same trouble.

The system has been changed so that extra bucks and lately some CRTS no longer reduce the taxable amount. This is because they are reimbursed by manufacturers so now must be considered a manufacturer coupon for tax laws. If a extra buck or a CRT is from or for a CVS product, then they are allowed to reduce the cost of an item so that we are only taxed on the amount minus the coupon and/or extra buck. $/$$ coupons are allowed to reduce the total cost of all items so tax is calculated after the $/$$ is taken off.

As it stand now, you can buy an item for $5, have a $1 mfg. and a $1 CRT and pay with a $3 extra buck, but still pay tax on the full $5 amount.

There is a glitch in the system and using the same situation above, if the item was $4.99 to begin with and you had your $3 extra buck adjusted down to $2.99, you would pay tax on $2, so losing a penny would save you the amount of tax on $3. It is impossible to set this up though, so just nice when it does work out.

I'm sure I made this more confusing than it already is!

EDIT: I think the cashier didn't press the final "total" when you saw the first $2-something amount so tax wasn't showing yet - she would have wanted to scan all your extra bucks, etc. before really totaling. They are careful not to as if someone swiped their credit card, the transaction will go through and they can't take anymore coupons.

Another situation where weird stuff like that happens is when your extra care card is scanned after an item is scanned - the register doesn't total right until the final "total" is pressed and sometimes you can go negative but it will still go through - that's one tricky way to get past this tax problem, but the stores get in trouble on reports for it.

LanaJae- I'm so sorry for all that you've been through , I hope you're feeling better soon.

I'm amazed that your :worship: CVSing skills have stayed so sharp in spite of your pain and suffering.

WIth the whole tax change, I make the cashier hit total after each ECB and then I ask for the pretax total. It is a pain, but I got burned a few times so I now do it this way.

:confused3Another newbie question!

You guys have been ever so helpful to me and I have yet another question.

If something is buy $20 and get 10 ECB , like the Johnson & Johnson's this week, can you get to that total using different transactions? Like could you buy viactiv in one transaction, then Motrin the next and lets say a day later round out to 20 with more motrin will it "accumulate" on the card and reward you the 10 ECB at that point? I am just trying to figure ways to make the most of the 5/25 coupons I have.

I hope this made sense ?:confused3

Thanks so much!

Yes you can do that. But be careful about doing the transactions back-to-back. sometimes the computers take a few minutes to register and catch up, so plan accordingly! :thumbsup2

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply! I am headed out with coupons and a "game plan". Thank-you:goodvibes

Guys I just saw a CVS commercial that clearly states "get a $100 coupon book just for stopping by" and then written across the bottom of the screen it says :No purchase neccessary". This is in relation to the flu shot at CVS pharmacies... has anyone successfully asked for and been given a $100 coupon book without getting the shot? Am I totally out of the look an EVERYONE else has already gotten these booklets? Kindof like the Ready-Fill booklet... it took me a while to realize I could get one but boy when I did!! I think I eventually obtained 8 in total and used almost every coupon... great thing, coupons!

I don't know if your CVS has a Minute Clinic, but some of ours do. I just poked my head in her little exam room and said, "Could I get one of those coupon books?" She pulled one out of her pile on her desk and said, "Sure thing!" That was all it took. I don't care for it nearly as much as the Ready-Fill booklet, but there were a few in it I can use.

I was going to post this on the Budget Board but thought I would try here first, can any of you use some Enfamil Premium with Triple Health Gaurd $5.00 off coupons? They expire on 11-30-09. I have quite a few, enough to pass around if anyone is interested. Let me know and I will try to get them in the mail to you tomorrow!:goodvibes

ShiPooOwner - I sent you a PM reply! I still have some available if anyone can use them!:)

Is the $3 off of $15 from earlier in the thread still good? If so, could some one please, please, please PM me the PDF? :worship: TIA :goodvibes

We don't have Minute Clinics around here (at least in the stores I visit) so no coupon books for us :sad1:
