Cvs Weekly 10/4-10/10

I did the Dove deal and tried to make it come out nearly at $20 by adding in a $1.49 travel size but no-go. Our store said that it had to be Dove products with the yellow sale stickers.

I didn't do as well as some of you but I am definitely set on shampoo and conditioner for a while!

I did the tylenol deal with 2 Children's Motrin (look for the ones with the free trial size attached) and the $8.50 tylenol. Used a $3/2 for the motrin and a $2 for the tylenol. Combined with a $5/$25 and some other free after ECB/coupon items (to get over the $25 it worked out to be about 50 cents :cool1:

Look for the Bayer Quick Release Crystals 4 ct. They were on clearance for $1.50 at my store. I had a bunch of $1.50 coupons (the ones that say 10 ct on them scanned right through). I also got a CRT when I did the Tylenol transaction for $2.50 off any $10 pain reliever purchase so I used that too. It did say it excluded Aleve and Bayer, but it scanned right through.

If you have the Viologgie B1G1 free CRT don't forget to use it this week for the BOGO sale!

The trial size St. Ives face scrub does NOT work for the St. Ives deal. I purchased one Noxzema cleanser ($4.99) and one St. Ives scrub ($3.99), so I threw in a St. Ives trial size ($1.49) to get me over the $10, but the ECB didn't print. I went back and bought another St. Ives scrub ($3.99) and the ECB printed.

I went to print setup, then I changed the margins so only the bottom of the page would print..but:scared1:then I pressed print:scared1: The printer wouldnt stop

When you open up the magazine, put 31 in the page box and press enter. Then try clicking on the print right page button, then choose selection, and enter. This should work. If not, I can try to print it in color and scan it in as a PDF.

This coupon worked for me at my store.

Oh that would be awesome if you could do that, and maybe send it to some of use computer challenged people? I've tried a ton of ways and cannot open it, :( :( :(

Just wanted to give you a heads up that I had a hard time using the Revlon $1.00 off color cosmetic coupon at my store yesterday. They beeped but I had an awesome cashier that pushed through all 12 of mine for me (2 different cards)!:goodvibes I did the 6 Revlon, the toothpaste and then used the $5.00 flu coupon, (6) $1.00 off Revlon, $1.00 off Colgate - so it wound up being a great MM for me.:woohoo:

I was hoping someone knew how to do that. Would you please give it a try and post it for us. :worship:

Oh I hope someone will send it as I can't do the FLU coupon again, it barely let me do it the first time :(

I went to try to do the Children's Tylenol but all 3 CVS I went to were out. :(

At the third one I finally just gave up and decided to get Tylenol Cold and Children's Motrin.

I got:
2 Childrens Motrin Bonus Packs
1 Tylenol Cold Liquid
1 Tylenol Cold caplets
2 Milky Way bars

Used:
$5/25 Minute Clinic quiz coupon
$2 Tylenol Cold and Flu coupon IP
$2 Tylenol Cold and Flu coupon peelie on box
$1 Any Motrin prodcut coupon IP
$2.50 ECB
$.89 Free Mars Candy Bar coupon (B1G1 so both were free)

...used a gift card I got from transferring an RX and paid $12.64 with $10 ECB back.

Not bad but I wish I'd been able to find the Tylenol.

Motrin is much much safer in infants:

http://www.medicinenet.com/tylenol_liver_damage/page5.htm#tocj

Many people don't realize that acetaminophen can be toxic and deadly. No one thinks it can ever happen to them but trust me, it happens..... It is soo very very easy to overdose with Tylenol, and the outcome is disastrous:

"The fact is that each year, in children with high fevers who were given repetitive doses of acetaminophen, deaths have occurred due to accidental overdose and the resulting liver damage.
"

Motrin (Ibuprofen) can make someone sick but they won't die.

Yeah, I planned on getting 1 Motrin and 1 Tylenol. Piglet's pediatrician told me no Motrin until he's 6 months at least. I can't remember why. :confused3

I'm still pretty happy with what I go. Not too shabby. :)

Here is a decent deal for Kotex:

2/$6
-$1.50 CVS coupon from the $100 book
-$1 CRT from machine
-$2/2 manufacturer's coupon from 10-4 insert, I believe

I'm not sure if you can use both the CRT and the CVS coupon. I personally wouldn't go in and only buy the 2 kotex and try to use the 3 coupons. But if I had lots of items, I might put all 3 in my stack of coupons.

Apparently there was a huge recall on large lot number of Children's Tylenol. Our CVS said they had to pull all of it and should have a new "safe" batch by the middle of this week. They just wrote a raincheck for me in case I did not make it in this week.

missing you all - I had 14 teeth pulled due to long-term medication damage for autoimmune disease and root fractures, etc. from poor health. I won't be in CVS for a few weeks, not leaving the house, am still in screaming pain.

Maggie, you can use all those coupons on the Kotex without a beep, I've been doing it on other things - CRT and CVS coupon on one item is fine.

Flaky, thank you so much for the coupons in the mail!

I agree about Tylenol and babies/kids. Be super cautious and only use it when you absolutely have to, give them cool baths and try to alternative Motrin/Tylenol if you can. Motrin is awful hard on little kids' tummies so simethicone often helps and it's very safe. Tylenol needs much stronger warnings about liver damage, it's a great drug but overused by many.

just popping in to see whats going on here w/cvs..LanaJae so sorry to hear about you teeth having to be pulled. When i was pregnant w/both my kids, they diagnosed me w/autoimmune disease after having a few miscarriages, so w/each pregnancy i had to be on prednisone and heparin! Have a speedy recovery..and hope your daughter is doing better as well.

LanaJae - Ooucchh! I'm so sorry to hear about your teeth - I can't imagine the pain you are in. I hope you feel much better soon! :goodvibes
