CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 9/7-9/13

I don't have limits on my sale items but I do have the 16 page add that doesn't have chex mix or milk or a few other things on sale. It was disappointing to me because I had my chex coupons all ready and in the store but they didn't scan $1 so I had to take a closer look at my add. I just figured it was because I am in the dallas area so in a test area but I guess not.

What the heck?!? I just looked through my circular and it doesn't have the chex mix listed. And when I looked at the ad scan on afullcup.com, that ad has 20 pages and mine only has 16. Plus, the stuff on the front and back pages all have limits on them. Like, the cadbury chocolate bars are 99 cents, limit 5. And the Gain laundry detergent are $4.49, limit 4. Does anyone else have this shortened circular with limits??? I really wanted the chex mix. I'm bummed.

because I have the 16 pg ad for CVS that does not include Chex, I went to WAGS today.

would only let me use one of my $1 coupons...why? The strange rules combined with frustrations with RR make me frustrated with Walgreens.

BUt then, I find a fabulous deal and my opinion changes...

Did find the Magic Bullet (15.97)and a chopper/blender combo (7.97). I'm trying to decide which to keep and which to give as a wedding gift.

Anyone have a the Bullet and love it?

Went to my CVS in TN just to check out the "test" ad. Manager told me they only get 25 fliers to hand out. She also said some people get them in the Friday paper and some do not.

Manager is not happy with this test and she says most customers are not either. She says she will definately give it a very low rating.

Now are we saving so much money at CVS that they cannot afford to give us free fliers??????????? If so I better use up my bucks soon cause they are on the verge of bankruptcy. :scared1:

:lmao: Exactly! Pretty sad isn't it.

I'm glad we are not in the test area!! What are they testing? Is it to see if starting the sales on Friday gives them ajump start on competetion???Or are they in cahoots with the Friday newspaper to increase their sales !!!

The flyer in the Harrisburg papers had the limits written in the ad. That was new this week.
I know. It sucks doesn't it. I'm sure my regular store wouldn't care if I bought more than the limit. But, I wonder if the registers are programmed to give you regular price for the items you buy over the limit?

I don't know what they are doing. I'm not in the test area...or so I thought. My sale dates are still Sun - Sat. But now I get this shortened flyer. Another item I found that isn't in my circular is the Renuzit TriScents ecb deal. Don't have it and I have a ton of coupons I could use on this deal to make some money. I'm bummed.

The triscents weren't in my ad either but at the store they had the shelf marked and the ECB did print. I am going to check for chex mix also. I have no idea why some items are and aren't in the ads and then they work at the store.

I have a $4 manuf. coupon but it wouldn't make it a moneymaker. Although .99cents for the set is still great. Is there another coupon you'll be using, too?

If you combine it with the deoderant ($1 coupon of .55 cent peelie) and the $2/$10 CVS coupon it is a moneymaker.

The renuzit is $5 at walmart, so if you have a bunch of the $4 coupons and not the other coupons to make the deals at CVS work, it is still a good price there!

Thanks! I tried WalMart on Monday and they were sold out. Oh well...no biggie. I really didn't need it. I just can't pass up a good deal.:thumbsup2

For those wondering about Walgreens, I thought I'd write out a Walgreen's haul. This is from 4 different stores, 4 transactions.

I had some esp. good coupons such as a $2 Windex and a $2 Shout, but others can do just as well because there is a $2.75 printable for the Action Scrubber at scrubbingbubbles.com, and once you buy the Action Scrubber, there is a coupon book inside each one with several other coupons, the best being $1 off either the Scrubbing Bubbles flushable wipes or the foaming spray.

The reason I bought Visine was to use the Easy Saver $2 from the coupon book and the $3 Visine coupons from All You magazine to get overage and make the deal better. I had 11 Visine All You coupons. If you don't do the Visine, you can still get get all the products for next to nothing once you factor in the Register Rewards you earn.

These are the 2 weekly sales I based the transactions on:

Buy 2 get $2, Buy 4 get $5, buy 7 get $10 (I bought 7 in each transaction)
Shout Spray or Wipes $2.49
Fantastic $2.49
Windex Spray or Wipes $2.49
Scrubbing Bubbles Wipes or 16oz Foaming Spray $2.49
Pledge Spray or Wipes $3.79
Scrubbing Bubbles Shower Foamer $3.79
Drano Gel $3.79
Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber $3.79
Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Gel $3.79
Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush Max Kit $3.79

Get a $4.50 Register Reward when you buy 1 Crest 500ml Pro-Health Rinse $4.49
(use 75¢ off one Crest Pro-Health Rinse from Sept. P&G insert)

This is what I got (value $178.08 pre-sale/pre-coupon):

8 Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubbers
7 Windex sprays (3 original/3 vinegar/1 antibacterial) (all 25% bonus size)
1 Shout (36% bonus size)
7 Scrubbing Bubbles foaming spray cleaner
5 Scurbbing Bubbles flushable wipes
11 Visine (all 30% bonus)
3 Crest Pro-Health Rinse

Amount spent: $39.73 (not including tax)
Register Rewards received: $53.50 (four $10 and three $4.50)

Just read that many Walmarts have clearanced the Magic Bullet set to $19 (for those that can't find them at Walgreens)

LanaJae, Thanks for the Walgreens deals. I already finished with CVS for the week and I was looking at other deals that may be around. I will go and do the cleaner deal and the use that RR for the mouthwash deal and get some free Chex mix on top of that!!!

Chex Mix is on sale at Walgreens this week too.
