CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 9/7-9/13

Anyone having problems 'keeping' the 'printer' for the Bricks coupons on your desktop??

I've gotten the message 'sorry, you've already printed the coupon' but this is something else ---

Lately, everytime I want to print a NEW coupon I have to "Install The Printer" - so I try to install it, but it keeps coming up again and again AND AGAIN!! And for the same stupid coupon!!! Grrrrr....

And to add insult to injury, it won't do it (install) AND it shuts down my computer!

HELP!! Is it my computer, or is it the site???? :confused3

I got the $4.50 for the crest, but my Walgreens wouldn't let me use it on my next purchase b/c she said I used manufactur coupons? I was PO'ed b/c now I have to remember to use it next time and I can't use coupons w/it??! I won't be doing my Walgreens again anytime soon!

Well that's baloney! Many of the cashiers are misinformed, there used to be some stores that would say that you could only use 1 Register Reward per transaction, but then corporate changed it to one per item, and I think they even had the wording changed on them to show that.

I have never done the monitor thing....so would you guys help me...I am a monitor virgin:rotfl:
I have the coupons...
Why am I so nervous?
I see some of the monitors are in a glass case....
Since they are at the rx do I need to pay for them there?
Do I need a rx to buy it? Will they ask me for insurance?
I am not sure when I deal even is but its for the Breeze..the coupon I think says 30.00:confused3 popcorn::

I've never bought one. The CVS managers here are always complaining about the people who buy monitors so I've never tried. I remember from reading about it that the coupons always get adjusted down to the actual cost, so the only time it works out is when you have a coupon that will cover the entire cost and it give ECBs too. There are usually rebates too, but most get refused if there is a coupon subtracted on the receipt.

I do have a question for the pro's......It's for next weeks deals ( our sales start here on Friday now) . I want to buy two of the outlast lipcolor which are 5.99 each and then you get back $3 if you spend $10. So I have a buy one get one free and a $1 coupon also.....is it better to give them the B1G1 coupon first and then the $1 off coupon or the other way around? THANKS :goodvibes

I tried it this morning and they would only take the B1G1 coupon and then the $1 off beeped and the lady I don't like so much said they couldn't take it...but a little over a dollar for two lipsticks worth $9.99 each isn't too bad ;) So I didn't fight it.

Supposedly if you give the $1 coupon first, the BOGO will still work, I think it's because the BOGO will beep anyway to enter the price.

I'm so annoyed - my Walgreens does not have the 3.99 sale on the Robitussan/Dimetapp - it was full price 6.99 and not even in the flyer - did not do that deal - then on the cleaners, only the 2.59 were included - windex - spray and wash and the 2.49 scrubbing -???? mine did not even have the pledge deal? so the only thing i did was the crestrinse - used a 1.00 coupon and now i don't even know what to use my 4.50RR on?? i was just going to blow it on Milk, but you can't use it on dairy - i don't live Walgreens - i'm going to stick w/CVS!

Thanx anyone for all the great scenarios!

lisa

Sounds like an awful trip! Sorry, I normally don't recommend the place unless the deals are great - I never knew some areas didn't have the full ad either.

They often have a few great food deals each week with an ad coupon, so hopefully you can get rid of that RR on food.

After good trips at Walgreens all week, I had a bad one today - I was using the $10/40 coupon, along with mfg. coupons and everything was working fine. I bought some fillers so I could use $20 worth of Register Rewards and the cashier says, oh I can't take THOSE too - I asked her to see if they'd scan (they would) and she said no. I was going to just say forget it all, but I had 4 people in line behind me and they aren't allowed to void an uncompleted transaction (which is stupid) without a manager so I just paid and got out of there. I didn't really lose anything, but I would've rather paid with RRs.

I then had to go to CVS to feel better :rotfl: Found a Tri-Scent, an Arnicare, and 2 Purex which were the 25% bonus size.

Sorry to hear about Walgreens but isn't amazing how good it feels to do well at CVS!?

I too am waiting for the Triscents and Arnicare to arrive, hopefully today!

My Walgreens is a gamble at best too. Here it depends a lot on the cashier and whether they will even try to do what you ask them to or not. I had to go to 2 Walgreens to find the cleaning items in stock , thankfully I got lucky. But I know what you mean about it being harder to get a deal their than at CVS.

Supposedly if you give the $1 coupon first, the BOGO will still work, I think it's because the BOGO will beep anyway to enter the price.

Guess I will try it that way next time. BOGO is still a great deal on those if you add in the $2/$10 coupon. Thanks for the help.

Sorry I don't know why it is doing that to you. I have had to install it two or three times over the last few months but it never shut down my computer afterwards. I hate that Brinks program anyway because of the print limit.

Arnicare would work good if your store has it, they are supposed to be $8.99 with $8 ECB (limit 5, monthly deal), but are ringing up at $9.49. There is a $2 coupon at arnicare.com, but it beeps. If you got 2 and used 2 coupons, that would get you to $14.98 and you'd get $16 back.

Christophe shampoo/conditioners if they have the $5 peelies on them (2 for $5.98 after coupons and earn $5 ECB, limit 5, monthly deal)

Thanks for the tip! The Arnicare wasn't even on my radar at all. I printed two $2 off coupons today. The Arnicares rang up at $9.49 just like you said. My DS wanted choc. milk so I got 2 half gallons which brought my total to $22 and change. Used my $4/$20, $4 in Arnicare coupons and $9.99 in ECBs. I spent $5.xx OOP and got $16 in ECBs and another $4/$20! LanaJae - You ROCK!

I meant to include this in my last post - it's usually your virus software that does this. What you can try is to shut off your virus software, install the software, print the coupon(s) and then turn your virus software back on. There are settings in most virus programs to let it know that you think that program is okay, but often that is difficult to figure out. The coupon printing software really is intrusive and it's secret - it doesn't let the computer owner know what files it alters (but of course that doesn't stop me from having it on my computer because the money is worth more than what they track about me!)

I'm glad they had Arnicare! That worked out really good.

Thank you thank you thank you LANA JAE!!

I haven't set foot in Walgreens :crazy2: since May but your scenarios really made it seem worth it! Everything went pretty well, they were out of Crest in 2 stores but I still did the Robitussin deal twice and the cleaners deal once, and used a GC for the OOP expense. Although, I made a rookie mistake and used my Robitussin RR from the first transaction while paying for the second transaction :headache: ahh I should have remembered that you couldn't do that! But I came out ahead anyway. I'll go back tomorrow and see if they've got any Crest in (the truck came this afternoon)

Thanks again for letting us in on the deals this week!

That's great! I am tempted to go back today as our trucks come in Saturdays. Found another place to get more Scrubbing Bubbles coupons: http://www.scrubbingbubbles.com/coupon/2008-09-SB/

There's a BOGO on the flushable wipes, so with 2 coupons printed, that's 4 items towards the 7. If you bought any of the Action Scrubbers and it had a coupon book, there's enough to cover the rest.

Also, there's a $10 RR with the Shower Cleaner and a $5 coupon in that link. It's $19.99 - $5 coupon (earn $10 RR). Would be good to use with the $10/40 coupon if you could find more items, and you can get both the $10 RR for the cleaning supplies and the $10 RR for the shower cleaner on the same transaction.
