CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 9/7-9/13

My last cashier told me that I couldn't use the ECB to apply to tax? That's not right is it? I thought I have walked out and not paid anything before? Maybe I am wrong? My total was $10.49 and I had a $10 I was going to use, but I had to apply a smaller ECB and pay out of pocket.

This is sort of new, some cashiers are now telling people their pre-tax totals. What happens is that ECBs reduce the taxable amount so some people at Hot Coupon World are telling people to use their ECBs first and then coupons. Its really hard to do it that way, but I did test it out and it does save some tax.

I had such a good day. Too many good things to post. :cool1:

90% off the summer clearance - bought 6 beach chair for next summer @ 1.29 each. I saw people with carts and carts full of summer stuff.

Hey, KYCHA (and my other Pennsylvania CVS DISshoppers), I did find the $3/$15 coupons. I picked up six booklets...but I got them on my way out of my last shopping trip for this week. Poor planning on my part but I'm set for the next few weeks! Thanks for the tip!
Ohhh...I hope my stores are 90% off and that they aren't cleaned out yet. I can't CVS until tomorrow. :sad1: Glad you were able to find the coupons. I have been checking in restaurants and grocery stores for that paper. Hoping to find more of the $3/$15. So far, no luck.
I don't CVS EVERY week, but try to when I can, before my ECBs expire. I HATE HATE HATE that our sale starts on Friday now. I can't function without the ad in my Sunday paper. And I ONLY have the Sunday paper delivered (we barely have time to read that!), so I don't get a Friday paper.

I went to the CVS website to see if there was a place to email them how unhappy I am about this change, but couldn't find anything. Anyone know a way to tell customer service how annoying this is?

Try this link. There should be a link to contact them through e-mail.

Ok, how did I do?

Yesterday I had to go for my mom and I did really well, but really too many things to list. And they're all upstairs already anyway LOL

But here's my transaction for today: (and I did all of this yesterday too, and then some!)

1- Right Guard $2.99
1- L'Oreal Cleanser $5.99
1- Skin Effects Cleanser $6.99

minus:
- CVS 2/10 coupon
- $1 manf. coupon deodorant
- $3 manf. L'oreal coupon
- $5 email skin effects coupon

Total Oop W/TAX: $5.67 (once again I was so excited I forgot I had $2 and $4 ECB I could have used to make it much less!!! grrr :)

But I got still got back $7.99 in ECB so I 'made' over $2, right??

So between yesterday (all of the above, plus the Kellogs bars and Cristophe and other stuff) and today, I think I've got i!!

What do you all think? And THANK YOU!!!

:grouphug: :cheer2:

I'll be putting up next weeks post tomorrow AM. I had it pretty much done when I left work on Thursday and then we had an unexpected death in the family so I wasn't at work on Friday. I'll put it up when I go in in the AM for all :goodvibes I didn't forget :flower3:

Hit some of the 90% off stuff today and got some great deals. If anyone wants the breakdown of my transactions for ideas, just let me know and I will post in the AM. For 5 transactions I am out about $2 OOP and down $8 ECB but I got some stuff I need so I am happy! Here is what I got:

2 Nail Polish
2 L'Oreal facewash gel (1 on each card)
2 Aussie Shampoo and 2 Aussie Conditioner (1 set on each card)
1 Arnicare Gel
1 Pull Ups (needed these)
2 Chex Mix (DH needed these :) )
1 Glade Scented Oil (trying to use up the last of the $4 coupons)
5 Clip on Fans (90% clearance)
1 Bubble Shooter (90% clearance)
7 Youth Goggles (90% clearance)
1 Sand Toy set (90% clearance)
1 Huggies Swim Diapers (90% clearance- need these for vacation in a few weeks)

I was in CVS today and got 5 of the Right Guard deos. I had a $1 coupon and a 75cent coupon, but they had 55 cent peel off coupons on many of the Right Guards. I used the two I had and then peeled off the others. Just a heads up.

Glad you were able to find the coupons. I have been checking in restaurants and grocery stores for that paper. Hoping to find more of the $3/$15. So far, no luck.

Hi fellow Lancastrian! What paper has the coupon? I must have missed that bit of information! TIA!

I have read on this board (or perhaps in someone's blog) that CVS takes expired coupons. How expired?

Does that mean that the Sally Hansen $3 coupon and CVS Skin Care $3 coupon that both expired 8/31/08 can still be used?

Also, how about the $5 email Skin Effects coupon which expires today, 9/7? Can that be used tomorrow?

YMMV on expireds. My store(s) will take expired CVS coupons but not MFG coupons. You can ask and see what your stores policy is.

I am headed back to TN tomorrow and they are now in the test area. You can believe I will be calling to complain when I get home.

Kimya so sorry to hear about the death in your family. You and your family will be in my prayers.

I have just about CVSed out the last 2 days. I wanted to get as many deals in MD as possible. The car is full of CVS bags and I made money on every trip. (Did 5 trips today) :scared1:

My stores do the exact opposite :rotfl2: Mine will take expired generic $/$$ until they beep (2 weeks after date), but won't take expired CVS-emailed, CRT or ECBs if they beep. They constantly remind me that they take expired mfgs., so today I used a BOGO Schick on the BOGO deal (I think it was about 2 weeks past expiration). I always ask though because the rules seem to change often. Walgreens would probably taser me if I gave them a mfg. that was even 1 hour past expiration.

My condolences to you and your family.

Hi fellow Lancastrian! What paper has the coupon? I must have missed that bit of information! TIA!
Howdy! I found the coupon in a free publication called 50 plus Senior News.
http://www.onlinepub.com/senior-news.asp
It was the September 2008 edition. They distribute them at CVS...check the front of the store, with the CVS flyers. The ones I found were actually hidden underneath the CVS flyers. And I only found them in one out of four stores...the stores in Ephrata, Lititz and Lemon Street, Lancaster were all a bust. I found them at the store on Lititz Pike, near the Golden Triangle(Walgreens). I'm hoping this coupon will be a monthly thing. Good luck finding it! Check McDonald's, other restaurants, banks, grocery stores.

Occasionally someone will post here about Walgreens and their deals.

Since y'all are so amazing at deals with coupons ect, are there any good ones this week at Walgreens?

(sorry if this shouldn't be posted here, but not sure where it would be?)

TIA!

:grouphug:

Has anyone tried the new Turtle Chex Mix? I bought some yesterday since it was a $1 this week and I had a coupon. Wow, is it good :thumbsup2 Luckily I only have one more coupon because I won't be able to keep my hands off this stuff if I had more in house. Yummy!

anyone finding the contour glucose monitor? i haven't found any on the shelf yet. i still have the coupon which will make this a mm with the ecb's. now if i can find it!
